Hello all, I just got this phone from a friend to look at it, first thing I noticed is that it is dual band 900/1800 and we use 850/1900 so it does not work here. It looks like a good clone of motorola V3i, it is a bit smaller but that is about it. I'm trying to figure who makes this, when I connect it to the computer using the USB cable it is detected as FIREFLY, but there is a "MPFour" brand on the screen of it.
Please help to identify so i can see if the band could be changed to 850/1900
thanks
Maybe if you can take a picture of the mother board we will be able to help you decide that,
regarding changing the band we can't decide until we get the phone type first,
but if it's a V3 or a V3i it is possible by seem edit.
Hope this helps!

Will try to get it open and take some photos of the main board.
It looks like a smaller V3 but have more capabilities like V3i.

anyone may be able to help?
Maybe that's something like HTC does?? They produce phones and sell them as HTC, Qtek and with help from Orange as SPV. I'm thinking of it like Motorola does that kind of phone and sells it under other brand. My other idea is that some Asian corp made this phone using design from Motorola V3/i. I don't know...

I agree, it seems like an asian corp copied V3 razr and sells it, but software is not the same. Is there any way to change bands by software or hardware? Please?

It's for sure not a V3 or V3i motherboard.
I have a firefly phone at work I will check the mother board for it and let you know if it looks simillar some how or not!
which I doubt!!
Will come back to you here
It's not a firefly.
It seems to be a clone version of the V3.

Thanks Hanoon.
I agree this is a fake V3, but it works and has a nice looking software.
I can´t find the way I could ask people from China to look at this phone, they maybe have seen this more often that we had.
Thanks all of you for your replys
