I have here a blackberry 7520 from canada with Nextel brand now its unlocked, cannot make call or receive on 900/ 1800 band. I search the NEtwork found 0 but there is siganl bar. Do these model works on this band?

my understanding was all nextel or iden bb's only work on other iden networks..nextel, boost, telus, SoLink, mike etc..I have here a blackberry 7520 from canada with Nextel brand now its unlocked, cannot make call or receive on 900/ 1800 band.
