Well there is a couple of reasons why i want this to work for free...
1) i live in brasil its kind of hard for me to pay overseas witmy credit card too many formularies
2) its only because i brought an i860 from the usa where i lived for 6 years
3) i want to make the phone work here wit the current cell phone providers

mhmm alright i unlockd the phone now its not askin for the subsidy code anymore but when i try to make a call it says SERVICE RESTRICTED anyone knows why ? just one question is the i860 a GSM phone ?

The tricky part is when you change the HW fingerprint using winhex.

At the "replace hex values" window, in the "search for" field, you have to write your HW fingerprint reversed in pairs, for example, if your HW finger is:
A1B2C3D4 you'll search for D4C3B2A1, that's A1 B2 C3 D4 goes to D4 C3 B2 A1

There's another issue commonly found: When you start the program, sometimes you'll get an error message like this "Error loading host DLL's", and "Pconplus operation has been disabled, Please check the error file or log Message window!"
This is solved by doing 2 things
1.- Make sure folder is directly in C:\ (eg c:\idenpro)
2.- Run program using .bat file, not the .exe file.
After that you should be able to have the program running.

BTW, why pay for something that's already free and working?

That problem may be solved by uninstalling and reinstalling usb drivers, or maybe phone is not detected because of a faulty cable.

hello all. hope someone can help me out. i can't unlock my i-855. i was able to unlock my i835 first. now when i run the program to unlock the i855 it just turns the phone off and back on to the screen to ask for the special codes.

Despues deben abrir el programa idenpro(debe estar guardado en c: o sea c:\idenpro )
Abran el idenpro y dejenlo abierto no pongan nada en hardware fingerprint
ahora abran el winhex presiona alt+ f9
Debe aparecer idenpro 2 veces escojan el que este mas abajo luego se van a entire memory(en las opciones del winhex en view debe estar seleccionado Hex Display only nada mas)
Ahora van a search y escojen Replace Hex Value
en esos cuadros en search for deben poner el numero que sale de fingerprint pero volteado en lugar de poner 9895-0681 deben poner 81 06 95 98 y en replace with E7DBDB16
dan Ok deben reemplazar 3 veces(3 ok)
Ahora vayan al idenpro y pongan estos datos

I’m trying to unlock a Motorola i830 but when I enter the command (011108) it displays the following error “017-No USB device found.”

I loaded up Winhex and dumped what was stored in physical memory and tries to search for the reverse of the eight-character fingerprint (characters 87654321 in that order, no dash), and can't find it.

Somone told me to go to motorola's site and download the new firmware for my phone because it fixes some problemsw with the media player not reading filenames and freezes with the camera. So I did however after doing the update my phone now says subsidy lock on the front and says enter special code on the inside scree. I have been searching for 3 days how to remedy this without purchasing a new phone. The rep at telus said that theres nothing they can do except sell me another phone. I have tried this program stated here followed all the install directions got it running but am unsure if I am doing the actually idenpro command part right. If anyone can be of any assistance I would greatly appreciate it I dont want to dish out another $300 for a phone that in my opinion should be capable of being upgraded with new firmware.
