View Full Version : Problem with Sim Emu 3.0
Hi,
i save on SimEmu 3.0 three differents prepaids cards. Only one works fine.
If I make call both operators (Eurotel 23002 and Paegas 23001) fall down in 3 seconds. Then I can make only emergency call.
IMSI and KI is good. I can register to network, take a call, send SMS without problems. Only outgoint calls is problem.
Have anyone idea how to solve this problem?

may be you can change sim's position
position 1 -------> position 3
try it ....i wonder it...
good lucks...
This is indeed very strange...
Which phone model are you using?
I use motorola M3888. I try change position in the sim.

As SIM EMU 3.0 does NOT support Increase command, some phones will terminate call if the Increase command is raised by Operator. In my GSM SIM emulator this problem does not occur. Solution for you - try different phone.
Thanks. I try another phone.

The problem is still. I try it with another phone (Ericsson T39), but with same effect. Outgoing call fall down in 3 seconds.
I try rewrite whole SilverWafer and save the simcard in 3rd possition. But without success.
Have anybody idea, why with two czechs operators I cannot make outgoing calls? Have they same security in original SimCard?

As Programmer stated... if the operator issues an increase command and the cloned card fails to respond to it (for instance, a clone of a card that has balance-control) the operator will disconnect you.
Don't be suprised the call you one of these days telling you your card is broken (they do keep logs).
I think the same will happen with some tariffs of portuguese operator Vodaphone because they have some old cards where the balance is controlled by the card itself.
They implement this measures so you won't "chip" the phone to block the "increase/decrease" commands that update the balance stored on the card.

Jsec2, try Nokia 6210 if you have any. It may depend on firmware revision but 6210 was working with my GSM SIM emulator even before I finished the Increase command support (tested on 230 02). My GSM SIM emulator properly updates ACM file during the call so the major problem with prepaid cards is fixed. Unfortunately I do not have SICAP specification so the SICAP functions are not implemented. That means if your credit needs to be updated and you receive SICAP message from Operator, you have to update counter on SIM clone manually from the phone menu. As soon as I discover structure of SICAP messages, I will try to implement this feature to my GSM SIM emulator as well.
Hi,
so that now is no way, howe use the clone card for this operators. Do you plane implements this function in SimEmu?

Well, I am not author of SIM-EMU and my version of GSM SIM emulator works fine with all Czech prepaid cards. Unfortunately I do not plan to release it for public use.
Hi!
I have got the same problem as You!
I'm wondering if You managed it ?
I use two cards (one pre-paid) with nokia 6210 ; silver card with sim_emu v4.0.
Only pre-paid behaves strange.
Somtimes i can make normal connection and i don't know why :(
But most connections are closed suddely like yours
regards
I did not solve this problem. I tryed it with R320s, M3888, T39 and withou success. For me every outgoing calls halt.
I thing that the problem can be in credit. If credit is 0, it can not discount and calls down. But I do not, how set credit. I tryed with cardinal 68, but changes are not saved.

Where can i get hold of SimEmu 3.0? I gather it's a silver card hex?
Does it work with siemens phones? I tried twinsim, which is based on simscan i believe but it says sim error on inserting.
If anyone can send me SimEmu 3.0 to try i'd be grateful!

Look at http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37689 for 4.00 version.
I have the pages corresponding to 3.00 translated to english by Alf.
Nextly I'll have the 4.00 too.

Fantastic!!
It works with the siemens sl45 !!! I didn't actually expect it to work, twinsim didn't like siemens phones....
So i didn't waste my money in cutting up my very best silver card :P
I have not experienced any crashes as yet which is good.
The only problem i must tell you about is i was unable to add my ki from within the phone menu, i entered it but when i pushed ok it did nothing!
I got round it by editing the hex in ic_prog to enter the ki and imsi and then it worked.
My orange pay as you go sim is now set up fine on it. Unfortunately my other sim 'one2one' won't extract the ki, have tried it with cardinal, it failed but the sim was still fine, i'd love to get that sim onto the simemu card.

You must enter exactly 32 hex digits, all in uppercase for KI.
Once this data is correct, the SIM-EMU ask you for the PUK.
