You can reset the phone while it is off. Press and hold down the 2 external buttons down the screen (start and contacts buttons) and then press power button for 1.5 seconds (important). Release the power button. If you have done all Ok, you must see a screen telling you to press "0" to reset your phone to factory. If it starts normally repeat the process.

turn the device off
press both softkeys ( the 2 keys directly under the screen, used to open menu's etc. )
briefly press the power button, 1 to 1.5 sec.
keep holding down the softkeys.
after about 1 second, you should see the bootsplash screen for about 1 second,
then you a black screen with 'press 0 to restore factory defaults'
pressing '0' now will hard reset your device.
note that the hard reset takes quite a while, several minutes.

there is a new ROM in this model you can't edit registry the only way is to downgrade and unlock it spv developpers application

There is a solution

Here is what you need:

Unlocked SPV C600
TyphoonNBFTOOL.exe (found on this board)
The orange newest ROM (found on Orange site)
The i-Mate ROM (found on ftp://ftp.clubimate.com/) you will need the i-mate_SP5_NRE_2.5.331.1) Might work with another one. I have not tested
Use WINRAR to unpack both ROM (Orange and iMate) in their respective directory
Launch the Typhoon nbftool.exe
Locate the Orange nk.nbf
Click on top (Edit header)
Copy the info you see (Screen shot will do)
Now open the i-mate nk.nbf
Edit header
Duplicate the info you made a screen shot of
Click OK
save the new nk.nbf somwhere of your choice
Now, replace the nk.nbf bewly edited with the original i-mate
Once done, click on ROMUpdateUtility
Watch the new ROm install.




This will completely erase your current ROM and replace it with teh i-mate ROM. When you will power your phone, you will no longer see the Orange logo but rather see th i-mate logo.

You will be able to install applications. In case you need to revert back to your Orange ROM, you can change the Orange nk.nbf header with the one from the i-mate and it will reinstall your old ROM.

I can't read my short messages. When I enter the sms menu I can see it but when I click no msg it's not opening as usual - I just can see blank screen. I can't create new msg.
Help please!!!
