View Full Version : Sim_scan ok...
Hello...
Now it seems to me that i will soon get my first KI with sim_scan 1.21.
But i have one question.
Is it right that when brute-force the last four bytes (4-8-12-16th) byte is red because mine is an it still counting...
And this is a new card (2001 late) PKI 32K
tax:D
Yes... it's very normal and it takes lots of hours too (20 average on my PIII/700). If all other bytes are not all zeros then everything is going just fine :)
By the way... your card isn't beeing "attacked" during this phase... but do not remove it! It'll be needed when the KI is found for verification... Don't know what happens if the program finds the KI and there's no card to verify it... never tried it before.
Anyway... if you need the card press ESC and it'll interrupt and save status...
Everytime you interrupt it it runs A38 on the card once just to check that you haven't changed it. These "checks" count for the KI limit and if your card is already near the limit, don't do it often.
Ok thanks for your reply Alf...
But is it better to do a F5 + F2 on the card, will it then go less time than F5 + F3?

I prefer always using brute-force on the last 4 bytes because this way I don't have to worry about ending up with an useless card if the limit was set too high...
Ok man...
I tryed another card now with F2 range F800 and it just find the first bytes then the other 8 bytes turned red and it seems it was going over to brute-forcing cause it start to count on the last bytes....
Have a nice weekend....
