View Full Version : 8330 dead... need v11 flash
Hi, I made a mistake while flashing my 8330 (gdfs v11), and used the 8180 drive_c.ssw file... now phone will not power up. How many flash files should i be using, 4 or 5? And could i use the v20 flash files? Please help, as i'm worried i have made the phone useless.
Well, i just got my LG service cable, and vygis cracked, and I flashed all 4 files of 8180, the phone was working, but the front LCD screen wasn't! Also, while charging the phone, there is no display saying when the phone is charging or when it is fully charged.
So, I thought "that won't do!", and decided to use the 8330 10a firmware files. I flashed them all succesfully, then I went to switch on the 8330, and it was in italian! It was saying that my original sim card was blocked! How, the phone was on 3 network, and it still has the 3 shutdown screens etc!
Now, when I try and flash the 8330, the certificate loader fails! I'm vygis 1.2, is there a newer version that will work? I only want to use to testpoint method as a last resort, anyone has this problem, and solved it?

try flash by TP, that relock phone, than unlock
Obviously i'm new to all this, but a TP is just a connection between the solder marked "testpoint" and a bit of the glue scraped away to expose the metal underneath? This is the "ground"? Isn't the same as earthing something? Also, it's wise to have a resistor in the middle of the connection for safety?
