Hello ichabod168,

With the P990i any .Jar file you intall would be usable while the flip is closed. So the only way to use a calculator with the flip closed is to make sure you get one thats a Java program not a UIQ or Symbian program.

Here is a great one that I use on my P990i

You can use it with the flip open or closed.
