Hi I tried to flash Z610i R1ED APAC with R1EJ Taiwan language as my wife prefer traditional chinese character. Well after downloadin FS and MAIN and checked it on the client I choose finalize, reset time call and reset flip as well. Then I pressed Flash and all the procedure. In the end I still got the R1ED APAC nut kulan took my credit. What gives?

U post log during flashing :)
Data about firmware etc are readed before flashing procedure.
So after flash, remove battery, put back and READ INFO from phone again, U will see new firmware.
I have checked R1EJ MAIN and FS APAC to be sure and all is ok.

Nope, it is still R1ED APAC (I also pick R1EJ TAIWAN not apac). I showed the logs to show that it reported OK despite the contrary. Here is today (7 Jan 2007, while I update on 5 Jan 2007) logs:

tell me exactly file names what U used, because this is not possible that firmware was not updated, so I must check exact file(maybe there is name mistake).

R1GB001 files will be ready to download today(we still uploading it) it's huge data amount. Also new client update with support CID51 ;)

It's Z610(i)_R1EJ001_MAIN_TAIWAN_CID49.min and Z610(i)_R1EJ001_FS_TAIWAN_CID49.fsm

BTW, my wife prefer traditional chinese. Do you have any idea the difference between HONGKONG and TAIWAN version as both Traditional Chinese? Or are they just for identification sake?

checked again, files are ok R1EJ001 inside version.
It's very strange why Your phone was not updated. I have only one thing in my mind, U flash only FS file and forgot to flash MAIN(U load it but was not enabled for example), but is only idea...
Contact me private plz with ICQ or MSN info or mail, we can do test.
Difference between HONGKONG and TAIWAN what I see are only languages:
HONGKONG = Lg:ZH ; T9:EN
TAIWAN = Lg:ZT ; T9:EN

there are difference for FS file, MAIN file are different even for every EUROPE operator, probably U can use TAIWAN main file to HONGKONG but I give it for compatibility coz I don't know that languages to see any difference :). I have no idea about other differences. :)

It has been solved. Thanks so much! Seems that it was finalisation without flashing firmware. I think new kulan client should give warning about this.
