New furious Gold User here..

Hello all.
I have just purchased this box and very happy

I have managed to install all the drivers and downloaded the maintenance program.

However, the tutorials are a little unclear and it might help new users, to know that the actual program needs to be downloaded through the maintenance tool itself when you click execute.

I also upgrade Firmware to v1_43 which i suppose is the latest..

I also installed the main program.

So far i hope I am doing everything ok.

There is a few questions however..

Why is there 2 RJ45 ports? Id it for unlocking/flashing 2 phones at the same time ?

What do i do with the serial com port cable ? Hook it up to PC and FG ?

Also simple stuff like, does the phone need to be powered on before pressing the "do Job" button ?

See I am trying to unlock a KG800 but really unsure how to proceed. I do not want to mess it up. lol.

I got the LG M2 Module running but have no clue what to do..

I am just looking for general guidelines, otherwise most stuff I can usually figure out by myself :)

I got 2 choices for com ports and i beleive its com 2 (even though i tried com 4 as well)

I clicked do job and it asked me to power on. I held the power button but the program just says error.

Where could my problem be ?

I use the left hand port ( always have , not sure what the right one is for )
The switch on the front of the fg box is up
Than select com 12 ( where my furious gold is installed ) ( see this in device manager )
tick the ftdi box
Then press unlock
I hold the power button down until it gets to the message that it can take upto 60 seconds ( then let go )
It normally takes about 22 seconds on my lappy:)

But i dont see the furious gold in my device manager

I must admit i have most of my usb ports taken up by other stuff etc.

I mean i maanged to update firmware and the program opens..

I did get to a point where it said start communication..

Then it hung.. and this was using the right port with 5V button pressed. I also put the serial com cable in as well. (not too sure why..)

So select MBus ?

u need to use left side rj45 from the box, switch up to m-bus, start software, select the comport used by furious gold..look in device manager at comports and see com number assigned to furious gold driver, after that connect cable(not usb data cable) and select the comport used by furious gold, direct unlock, select model kg800...and keep power on pressed for 5 seconds...it will work

usermanual for furious gold is almost ready..will be launched soon..so all troubles will have soluiont..i mean basic one, just a litlle patience till i finish it..and you will love it:)

If it has installed it as an unknown device
Try uninstalling it , Then press the refresh button
Then when it finds it and asks for the drivers , point it to the drivers in the Furious folder .

Well well well..

Advise from support was to reinstall windows..

lol thats a little farfetched and i would prefer ditching the Furious Gold instead of trying a clean install..

I found the solution

it was a faulty box.

Picked up a new one and installed within 5 minutes..

Lucky i didnt go and re-install everything!! otherwise it would have been the same thing, just a waste of time

Anyways, hopefully i can move on now and start making some money

yes..it may happen to receive faulty box..in this case this is why you should test it in another pc...clean one and see exact if problem is from box..or from sistem.
the most important thing is that you solved your problem and are able to use your box.

and YES sometimes is needed that reinstall..even if you don't bellieve, sometimes sistems get f****d up because of many devices installed. this is rare case..but sometimes this is the only solution.

When i plug device it it says generic usb hub

that installs..

Then usb<>serial convertor

that installs..

then usb serial port
That installs.

Then your hardware is ready to use

solution is simple as i told you:
ask your reseler to check the box before sending..is the only solution for receiving a good box

It wasnt though..

However i tried the port above (ther are 2 ports)

And it worked!! :D

Now question is Furious Team, does that mean 1 port below could be faulty/broken? and would it affect any future updates that may come out ?

it may be faulty..i mean i think is faulty for sure but if other port is working..all is well.
and no..further updates will not be afected by this you can start and enjoy using furious-gold:)
ps: pay attention to cable modifications:D

this is your oprating system problem,i have solved this by formating my pc wiht a good xp cd.there are many types of xp cd's.
