one thing, SEUS will don't change firmware in phone if phone have already latest one.

ad1. In P990i is something similar to finalization but isn't same thing, when U want only change CDA then only CDA will be changed. Yes this process need to "open" GDFS loader and this cost 1 credit.
ad2. 1 credit.
ad3. If U will change CDA to one what really exists and is linked with firmware then for sure.

before give out update I must test all to be sure. P990i is not so cheap phone and any operation with GDFS will have bad end...

Is it possible to change the CDA and then run SEUS so it updates the firmware to the latest Region 1 software right now? On the main page it says p990i is supported but I am not certain of it.

Now I upgraded to the newest firmware and it seems a lot faster. Although I actually miss the Orange customisation menu bar on the left a bit and I can't find the Opera web browser. Hmm!

If drivers are not installed correctly then I can't help U with any errors :)
Try deinstall all drivers for P990i first , restart pc and try again.

i too have a problem. when i connect my phone. a popup comes out non stop and says "Access violation at address 0C352F37. Read of address 0C352F37."

I followed the instructions as in this post:

At first I had a problem but it was obvious that I had the SE drivers installed on my main machine, I took it to another machine and followed the instructions strictly, it recognised the phone as P990 but still asked me for the drivers since I had never installed them before.

1) plug in the phone while holding C and install Harmonie drivers
2) KKlient should be able to get info from your phone
3) check the CDA change box and input the CDA you want (I Suggest Generic world 1 as in this list: http://uiq3.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/CDA/P990i )

It may also be worth trying to manually remove the drivers from your windows installation if just removing the software doesn't work.

tested ver. 1.46. phone connected. no more access violation error. client read all the info. but soon after, the client automatically dissapears/shut down. but when i connect my k800 it doesn't shut down. please advise.

2) d/loaded kkclient, drivers(usb & hermione)
3) run kk client
3) click read info
4) press c button & plug phone
5) kkclient ask for driver
6) installed drivers
7) data read
8) data read finished
9) kkclient closed

just did the whole thing again, and now it says that my account is blocked... ;(

Yes I'll make some file editor in near future, but editing files will not be possible coz reading files is blocked in DB2020. Only Delete/Write/Change Dirs.

1. How do I install KKClient. When I run it nothing happens.
2. Do I have to install EPIUSB drivers or can I use the drivers that come with pc suite? If where do i unzip them to and install them?
3. What is hermione, do i need it, where can i download it from?
4. Should I buy before I start?
