PPM Manager 0.91 version released ...

Hello everybody,

there is new version of my PPM Manager 0.91.

I hope this link will be accessible. I can send this proggie by e-mail, if you want. Thanks to Abe for introducing PPM Manager to this forum and for short description. (One detail - it is not important to use "Update PPM CRC" command with chunks, modified in Manager. CRC of these chunks are updated automatically :-)).

With this tool you can:
- Explode/Reincarnate flash to/from parts
- Import/Export TEXT chunk to text file - you can edit any text and import back to the flash
- Export/Import TONE chunk to separated Nokia binary tone files - you can add/remove tones
- Add tone files - you can simple add any tone you want
- Correct CRC of PPM chunks and also CRC in last four bytes of flash - flash is then compatible with EEPromTools 3.xx and other tool (you do not need calc FAID with flash - I hope - not tested yet)

I'm waiting for any responses, sugestions and opinions. I'm ready to build in any good idea :-)). I'm looking for informations about format of TEXT chunk.

ive got the software.. and heres my result... tested on 2 3310 and 1 8210, editted some text stuffs and uploaded to the phone again... used nc_calc to update faid ...... result.. phones are working properly and with full signal... tnx for the software and more power...

i translated english to pilipino... pilipino language doesnt use characters...i havent tried in any language area... actually i didnt translate just editted some text that i might find funny like.. insert sim card to insert the f**king simcard stu*id.... goodluck!

to NNN: I hope it will work in WinXP. Tell me if this is not true.

to masterID: You probably can use nk_calc, EEpromTool or Knok(in this case you have to use Update PPM CRC function) for FAID updating.

to jopb63: Yes, you can use Explode Flash function to extracting T9 dictionary. Unfortunately this prog. is not able to edit it. The T9 dictionary is stored in the LDB chunk. You can try fortune and try to use LDB chunk from any other flash. (At first try to use flash from similar date :-))

Hi from Greece.

When i export the txt file from full flash with PPM Manager & i opened with notepad or word, at the GREEK section of this txt file i find something like this etc: "507 GREE \xE7\xCF \xCB\xDA\xCB\xD9\xDD\xDA\xC3" with no greek letters. At all other lang, everything is ok (with eng letters). Can u help me for this "greek" problem?

But... (yes always a but ;) )Like Wizeman I also have troubles with 6210... On 3210 I added Robon1x from 6150 with succes, but when adding it to 6210 I get contact service... tried with both loggers and dejanbox but still contact service... Would be nice to have 6210 support in PPMManager.

Tried it on my 3330, ended up with "Contact Service". Opened flash and exported to Text file. Made two or three changes, saved, imported and flashed back to phone. Anything else i should have done?

the problem isn't only with greek. its with every unicode language. if you try out 6210, it will all be \x0 etc. thats because 6210 / 7110 e.t.c are programmer to work with unicode encoding, but ppm manager cant handle it!
