I have the same problem, i have tried different flex cables, different pcb's (upper and lower), different front fascias (touchpad, camera,), different lcd all these components seem to work ok separately in other phones but when the pieces are put back into one phone it has a white screen..

Make sure replace light blue tape in lcd connector area??if not u must cover by any plastic tape (normaly peoples dont replace that tape)..i have got many kg800 with out tape in lcd connector area.. this is verry important, when u change lcd...

thanks gsm surgeon!!!! you solved it!! ths phone was giving me a headache, it appears that the lcd connector was short circuiting with the small metal fence on the other side of the touchpad.

'GSMsurgeon' is talking about the blue tape that covers the lcd ribbon connectors...if you lose the old one, use a similar tape

Thanks, but I've tried that and it makes no difference. The display works fine when the handset is disassembled from its housing but as soon as you clip the back housing onto the top lcd housing the white screen happens, but as soon you unclip it again it works!!!!

Something must be shorting the display when the housing is attached but I can't figure out what it is, like I said I'm sure I replaced everything I took off when I stripped it down, but as soon as I re assemble the lcd half of the phone the white screen happens. Anyone shed any light on this?

Many thanks

its tha main pcb if you already changed the flex ribbon and changed lcd tape rtc. its a mainboard problem an ic most likely so good luck with that.
