It's preloader file and was about fixing phone. Handset download is impossible or not conneted" meanwhile i have installed all drivers and even choose com by myself but all in vain....
pls anyone with this type of problem and got it solved should pls help...

im having problems too, 2 different laptops, original usb cable and also the usb/com lg cable, drivers installed correctly and it all shows up fine in device manager but as soon as i press to start the flash process it reports that the port is now disconnected.

right i finally got this working tonight.

i powered the phone on with a test sim (network bypass simcard) inside,
then in the phones menu goto settings>connectivity and choose usb,
then i follwed hacks method but even though it was showing on port 25 in device manager the software connected it on port 23 and asked me to press START once more, at this point the phones screen went white with black text explaining it was downloading umst firmware
it took about 70 seconds to flash fully but at 99% it said something about checking blocks and then gave an error, i waited about 15 seconds and the phones screen was showing it was performing an NVM reset, once this was complete the phone rebooted,
i tried it with a different sim and it was unlocked.

thanks to hack for access to this free soft and hopefully anyone else having problems like me will now be able to get this solution working.

ps this was using the original usb from the box.

Hi guys in regards to the "COM0 Port Open Failed... Handset download is impossible or not conneted" problem....the solution is easy

1. connect the phone to the computer
2. go to device manager and you will see curitel under modems (check what com port it is set to)
3. open software and under port select user setting and match the com port.
4. continue unock process and all should be ok

anyways ive unlocked many phones without problem, however i have one phone and when i tried ot unock the phone at 99% the program displays badblock.

The phone is unlocked but i when i try to dial out it display "please try again" and does not dial out. The phone is not barred, and I tried to unlock it again but still same problem. can anyone help

1. Install drivers
2. Start Downloader.exe, SELECT USB NAND, CHECK DLOAD+ERASE, File->OPEN and select .pat file (FW FOLDER) and press START SOFTWARE DLOAD
3. WAIT ONE MIN AND YOUR PHONE WILL BE FULLY UNLOCKED
