View Full Version : RAZR V3 Call Failed: A Real Solution Please!

After an exhausting search through every forum I can find, I'm pretty frustrated with the lack of information on this problem. Complete answers would be nice.

PROBLEM:
Most outgoing calls, you will get the "Call Failed" problem. If you do connect, the call will drop within a few seconds.

WHAT I KNOW IS NOT THE PROBLEM:
This is not a software problem
This is not a Network problem.
This is not a wrong Firmware issue
Reseting the phone, changing any settings, or flashing it with something else will not fix it. It is a hardware problem with one solution.

KNOWN SOLUTIONS:
The only solution to this problem I have found it to replace the PA, which has actually been said to work by those who have tried it. Here's the problem with this...
1) I've noticed that most of these phones are unlocked phones that are from overseas, not the US. Mine is from the UK. It's a RAZR V3r. So sending it in to be repaired by Motorola is a waste, because they will not mess with it.

2) There is no information anywhere that I can find on where to get this PA so that it can be replaced. No Links, No Stores, No Nothing! That info would be greatly helpful!

3) There is no information that I can find on any repair shops/service centers that will fix this problem for me at a reasonable price, even if it is an overseas phone.

THE QUESTION:
Now, with that being said, can anyone provide all of us with this problem, (and there seems to be a lot of people with it,) with real answers?

well, here in my country is easy to find PA cause came from near technicians. If u cannot find one, i cand send a damage V3 board (with a correct PA, of course)

From what I understand, this is a touchy repair. Heating the PA will possible cause damage. I'm wondering if replacing the entire board with a new one would be a better option, and also be cost effective. Are these available to purchase? If so, where?

I found several on Ebay, and a few other auction sites. That's probably the best bet I guess.

How does one replace this PA, and where would you find one to replace it with?

Sorry if that sounds like a stupid question, but I'm new to this. Thanks!
