Try alos entering codes with and without the spaces in different combinations. That worked once for me.

It was a while ago I did tomtom device (I use pda) but I remember entering device codes into keygen differently but that may have just been a fluke but it worked in the end. Sorry I can be of help any more.

It may work, try installing Quam map it can sometimes stop activation code being needed.
There is a lot about it, use search buttons.

This is PDA version. If you have TomTom 6 installed than all you need are these two files to update.
I did have a site for all Palm stuff but i can't find it now for the hell of it.

why not get a symbian mibile phone such as the nokia n80 or n95 and have tomtom 6 put on it with all voice comands, speed cameras and maps for all over the world and you only have to carry one device. I have tomtom 6 on my n95 it is a cracked latest version with maps of eastern and western europe and uk and ireland and i dont need any activation codes when i add a new map. Makes more sense to me. And when i get the internal gps to work with tomtom i wont have to carry an external gps reciever.

ok few reasons why i dont want the above mate! I do have a symbian phone i have n95 with route 66 on which uses internal gps!

Anyways back to the point
1. tomtom doesnt use internal gps at this moment in time(as said) you have to use an external gps so thats another device anyways
2. if you have music on in the car you will find it very hard to hear the tomtom or route 66 on mobile.(depends on hw loud you have your music)
3. putting a 2gb memory card in phone with tomtom usa and can maps will slow down access to any over files on memory card and device!
4. External tomtom unit such as tomtom 520 is much safer as it has built in handfree with very very loud speaker! and can read text messages recieved(somthing n95 cant do as standard)
5. Tomtom 520 has a fm transmitter so you could play all your music straight from tomtom to an fm stereo and you aint got to worrie about not getting the instructions of where your going.
6. and finally screen size and n95 is a fraction smaller than tomtom which means if you cant hear device's directions atleast you can see them very very clearly.

I have Orange SPV M700 (HTC P3600) with built in GPS receiver. It is Windows Mobile PDA phone and I have no problems with that and it does everything you need. I also run TomTom and MioMap on it because one has better maps than the other in the different parts of Europe. AND IT WAS FREE UPGRADE ON MY CONTRACT.
To answer your other question: I did use keygen on one TomTom 520 but I think there has been software update and "they" found the "fix", so i could not tell for sure but as I said I did one a few months back.

Here is the connection to TOM TOM iste where they published the notice about new TOM TOM device and there is also a map of Western and Central Europe which include Slovenia and Croatia and also Russian federation and they also write about a map of Bosnia and Hercegovina, Serbia, Albanija...

Ok, so i went and bought a tomtom 520 of ebay for £205 plus £10 petrol so all in all £215. Got home had a play with it! It can do some awesome stuff! anyways got the keygen and map midi ready generated activation string for my device code entered it into tomtom and the BLOODY thing worked!!! tryed about 3 maps and they all worked TOO. SO all in alL i have saved my self £50 because if i didnt get new tomtom would have had to buy USA AND CANADA map anyways! Oh the GUAM trick doesnt work for me though i have to activate each map separtly.

MIght also get one of them TOMTOM GO RDS-TMC TRAFFIC RECEIVER for my tomtom when they come down abit in price. Apart from that im well happy with my tomtom 520 +2gb memory card(might get 4gb):cool:

It all worked well in the end. I have to say that TomTom standalone units are very good.

First 675.1409 is the version of the maps and not software and you can not brick the unit with the new map but you may need a keygen to activate the map for GO units. BACKUP YOUR UNIT TO YOUR PC SO IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG JUST FORMAT THE CARD AND RESTORE FROM PC.
However there is a new version of softvare V7.120 (8469) for Go units and it is here:

Hello friends, remember that this navcore doesnt have a map.
To use the feature of correcting a map it is necessary to install whatever map of version 675.1409 of teleatlas.

INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO INSTALL NAVCORE 7.120

1º- Download this file and decompress it using winrar. If you are reading this manual, it is because you have downloaded the file and unrared it.

2º- Once extracted the files, copy the contents onto your storage card.

3º- Now you only need to add the map in the root of the storage card. It is recommended to place the map ES_and_PT_plus_major_roads_of_WE.v675.1409, that way you'll be able to enjoy the feature of correcting the maps.

It is very easy, you'll see that you will be able to do this.

1. Is there any difference/advantages in having regional maps vs. standard maps (if any)?

2. What are the advantages of having the TomTom PLUS maps over the standard maps (if any)?

3. I understand there is a PLUS service that tracks or at least projects where satellites will be when you power up your TomTom, thus making the satellite locating process quicker. Is this a subscription-based feature, or is it a feature that I can get a hold of and implement in my TomTom (via some help from this talented bunch)?

When I boot the TomTom up now and it asks me to set some preferences before getting to the activation screen, I do so, and when I hit "Ok" to move on, the device does so, but also prompts me with this message:

I took the SD card out and have tried it both locked and unlocked and get the same result. Any insights on that one? :confused:

I cleared the flash memory on my TomTom 510 go. Went to the following link to obtain the TomTom Clear flash memory utility:

Hi,

I have a tomtom one with preloaded maps of Canada & US. Although i use the device in north america, im planning a trip to europe soon. I've downloaded Maps of Western Europe V6.75 along with a keygen. I can load the maps to an SD card as well as the tomtom software but the unit cannot find any maps when i turn it on. Furthermore, I have not been asked to enter the key. How do i install these maps properly ? Is it not reading a map because my current location is not on it ?

It is the older map,South Africa v6.60, not bad coverage but not as good as the newer map which covers the whole region.
Unfortunately it seems no-one is able to get the newer Southern Africa v6.8 yet.

The maps always go directly to the root of the card - for example /storage card/UK_and_Ireland_675_1409. There should not be any other folder inside the map folder - just map files.
POIs go to the map folder it self as well. So all .ov2, .ogg and .bmp files are to go into map folder. Again not as a folder - just all the files copied to the map folder.

Your map is not in the root directory. It is inside the TomTom folder. You need to get the whole map folder out of the TomTom folder so it is on the same list level as your TomTom folder. The simplest way of doing it is to click and hold on the map folder and drag it to your card icon.

I just installed Navcore 7.000 (or 7.010) from the TT720 on my TT910. I also have the Canada and US 6.75.1409 map installed. When I try to use the map share it tells me that "The map is outdated and not compatible with Map Share. Please visit TomTom website and download a new map"

When I try Navcore 7.120 from the TTXL, map share works fine with this map but it doesn's have all of the features that the 7.000 has. Any ideas?

I was hoping that somseone would be able to help me. I have just purchased a TomTom Go 520 which has old maps on it. I've tried putting the latest maps onto an SD card. I can select the map while the TomTom is attached to the PC by USB, but as soon as I start it with the SD card insterted and not connected to the PC, the unit powers onto the splash screen and then shuts off. If I remove the SD card then the unit powers on fine and operates with the old maps.

It's so weird that it will allow me to select the new maps when viewing through Home, but refuses to do it otherwise. The Keygen worked fine.

Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Not sure but I do not think there is ( assuming you are talking about today plug-in) I use spb pocket plus where I can place shortcuts on my ppc desktop under different tabs.

You will need keygen to activate it. there are few posted in thgis thraed alone.
To use bigger card as far as I know in the case of pda and, I assume palm, you just copy all files from one card to another and it should work. Failing that you can do backup using TomTom Home and restore once you put your new card in the device.

I don't have a Go unit so I have not tested many things on these. I have a feeling that the units that have application update through TomTom Home
no longer activate through the keygen that is posted arround. "They" obviously caught up with that one. It will stil work with pda and other units but than you can use cracked exe so you do not need keygen.

I have just installed tomtom version 6.01 on my nokia N95, but it does not seem to work, unlike on my old phone Nokia N73 it just auto installed but i cant find the tomtom on my N95.I copied the tomtom from my mini sd to my micro sd, do i need a different version such as 6.02, if so does anyone have any links to where i can download this. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

is not important space from the 3 groups of letters.

You must copy the map folder to the root of the card not into another forlder. Sometimes you will get folder in a folder when you unrar the file. You must copy the folder with just map files in it to the root of the card. The keygen and instructions are posted a few times in this thread alone but here it is again. Ok thanks. I'll break down what i have done step by step because it still isn't working. I have connected my phone (N73) with the data cable. I opened the phone and selected memory card. I unrar using winace and then saved the folder to my hdd. I have opened this folder and then copied the other folder (with the cline, cname,cnode, faces, IT_plus_major_roads_of_WE.midi, IT_plus_major_roads_of_WE.pna and IT_plus_major_roads_of_WE_V.675.1409.bat files in it) to the memory card of my phone and not into any other folder. This is the main area of my memory card where my file for 'GB_plus_major_roads_of_WE' is plus folders for documents, sounds, videos and images etc. I have then opened tomtom and gone to the 'select maps' preference but it isn't there. My phone doesn't give me any clue that the folder is accessible and doesn't ask for a key or anything. When I run the file 'IT_plus_major_roads_of_WE_V.675.1409.bat' the instructions are in Italian.

I've tried to get this map working on my PocketPC, but Tomtom can't find the map. I've put the unpacked files in the Western_Europe map on my SD card.

Can anyone tell me how to install these maps?

You can't use V7 maps on PPC because they only work on TT7 and that is not available for PPC yet. You have to use V675 maps.

Ok thanks. I'll break down what i have done step by step because it still isn't working. I have connected my phone (N73) with the data cable. I opened the phone and selected memory card. I unrar using winace and then saved the folder to my hdd. I have opened this folder and then copied the other folder (with the cline, cname,cnode, faces, IT_plus_major_roads_of_WE.midi, IT_plus_major_roads_of_WE.pna and IT_plus_major_roads_of_WE_V.675.1409.bat files in it) to the memory card of my phone and not into any other folder. This is the main area of my memory card where my file for 'GB_plus_major_roads_of_WE' is plus folders for documents, sounds, videos and images etc. I have then opened tomtom and gone to the 'select maps' preference but it isn't there. My phone doesn't give me any clue that the folder is accessible and doesn't ask for a key or anything. When I run the file 'IT_plus_major_roads_of_WE_V.675.1409.bat' the instructions are in Italian.

I don't realy know what else could be the problem. Try restarting your phone. You can delete the bat file and use keygen I posted above if it ever finds the map.

You need to donload all 4 part but only extract the first one and that will extract all others automaticaly and create all the necessary files and folders. You do not need to extract all of them one by one. If there is a problem with the extraction than it should tell you which part is corupted and you may have to download it again. That happens offten. I normaly just right click on the first part of the rar file and select one of the winrar oprtions and wahtever folder that creates, that's it.

Thank you for posting this, but I think this is the one that is "slimmed" down to fit on a 1 GB flash card storage for different units than mine.
I have the TomTom Go 910, which has 20 GBs of built-in storage.
There is a larger map for it, I think. Does anybody have access to it and would be willing to upload it? I guess it must be about 1 1/2 to 2 GBs big, as version 665 was something like that.

What you are looking for is map of "North America" which is about 1.7gb. I do not have links to hand but if I find any I will post them later.

Just copy whole map folder to the root of your card. For examle storage card/North_America_map.

I thought that was pretty much self-explanatory. This works as POI and if you set the warnings it will warn you about the traffic lights that have camera that will take a picture if you go through the red light. :)

.bmp file is just a little icon that appears on the screen. Just download any other speed camera files and use red light camersa .bmp file. Make sure that the name is exactly the same as the .ov2 file with just the extentions being different. PM me your email and I will send you the file if that's easier.

First find out which com port is you gps receiver on. In your settings you should have gps ikon. Tap on that and that will tell you the com port. When you open TT than go to show gps status and tap configur, select other nema receiver and than select port and boudrate ( normaly 4800)that your receiver is on. After that it should return to gps satatus page and little black and yellow circle in top right corner should rotate. That means taht it has found the receiver. It could take up to 5 minutes for "cold" fix and you are better being outside with a clear view of the sky for quicker fix.

I dont know if they can be load separatly but i found them separatly in fbl format and i think maybe they are separatly for ppc i'm gone try garmin are you sure that my place is much more covered where can i found some info about the coverage of this soft?!!!

I found a map for my (preinstalled) navigator 6 called Western_and_Central_Europe v660.1219 online. When I copied it to my SD card and inserted that into my cell it did not find it, only the preinstalled map showed up. replacing the files from the preinstalled map had no result as did deleting the map on the card and moving the map over there.
strangely the maps show up on tomtom home - but even moving them over via this program is not achieving the desired result. What am I doing wrong?
