you can contact me..
I wanted the same thing for a long time and finally decided to try ATT service.
I called Cingular/ATT and they said OK and will send me (email) the un-lock code within 7 days, it didn't happen, so I called and they gave me the code over the phone........ who knows these days.
no unlock solution other than calling cingular att ?
