I've just got a P990i from orange, with orange software that i hate!

But before i use Kulankendi to debrand my phone i have a few questions

1) What excatly will happen to my phone when using this service? Will it put on the default generic software onto the phone (allowing me to use it with other networks?)
2) What benifits will i get some debranding
3) What will happen to QuickOffice? will it remain after debranding?
4) Can i reverse the process in a couple of months and but the orange software back on (don't think i'll need to but just in case)

5) How do i tell what cable i got i.e. USB-DCU60

Cheers

Neil

1. It will debrand phone(no orange logo) if U will use correct CDA number. It will not unlock UR phone,so if UR phone is locked to orange then U must still use orange.
2. more cool menu, faster firmware(if phone had old)
3. If U mean about any stored applications, settings then all will gone, so U must do backup before flash.
4. yes, U can change CDA back and flash with SEUS to get back orange logo.
5. DCU60.

3. Yeah my phone came with QuickOffice to open and create word and excel documents. If i debrand the phone will i use lose quick office application or is it a standard application with P990i phones?

Edit- With the getting back to orange logo/software am i guessing right that all i do is change the CDA number back to the original number and off i go?

Cheers

ad3. Yes, U will lose all application, user settings and data. U must do backup before.

yes U need change back CDA to orange one... But by unknown reason sometimes SEUS not allow to update phone when phone have already latest firmware version. Anyway I'm working/testing at option which will write old firmware version during change CDA and SEUS will force update phone.

I would like to debrand my Vodafone W950i. Before i purchase the credit i would like to ask a few things.

1. I have notice that a few users have problems after the debranding, such as dead phone. The response they get is like their initial CDA number is not in correct format. Thus i want to avoid this problem. My phone CDA number is CDA162017/18 R1A12. Is this CDA number in correct format?

2. Can i get a more detail step by step instruction on how to debrand my phone so that i wont make a mistake.
