P990i CDA Change 100% working! THX!

Howdy,

just wanted to say thanks... KK worked perfectly and my Vodafone (NZ) branded P990i, which I got last week, is now World 1 Generic and unbranded! :D

I followed the instructions linked from the kulankendi homepage (here (http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=141900)) and it worked fine.

And all at a fantastic price... only 6 euros! which was only like NZ$11...

awesome... thanks again for such a fantastic service, I would recommend you to anyone!

NOTES:

1. It took around 24 hours from when I paid the money into Allpay, until I received the login and password. Allpay has 2 statuses... 1st it sends email saying 'Accepted'... then 2nd email saying 'Done'... then later I got the email from @gsminfo.pl with username and password. Just be patient people! ;)

2. After using KKClient to change CDA, I had 2 CDA's showing. :confused:

3. After using SEUS to update, I only have 1 CDA (CDA162007/1) showing. :)

Hah... I was just going to leave some positive feedback regarding my P990i experience. It was a breeze. My phone is a heap faster now. I followed the instructions here: http://blog.artesea.co.uk/2007/02/debrand-your-p990i-m600i-w950i.html

Username and password took about 20 hours and KKClient changed my CDA in the blink of an eye.

My P990i was from Hong Kong, I picked up on sale last week, and even though it was in English it had some annoying Chinese characters in the English keyboard. I changed it to World 1 Generic and everything is perfect now and all the ringtones etc are in English.

Another happy costumer from KK. I had my P990i with 162008/87 (Germany Generic), and the new FW (R5A17) for then was taking to long. It toke less than 2 minutes to have GW1, and now I have R5A17. :)

only CID49 is supported for now coz we had and saw only CID49 phones. We need other CID phones to add it to support.

what is cid36? and cid49? how can we find out the difference?
also how do we do master reset? that is mentioned on the directions..
these differ from these http://blog.artesea.co.uk/2007/02/debrand-your-p990i-m600i-w950i.html which are more proper to follow?
1) make sure battery is fully charged
2) open kkclient
3) fill in login & password details (click check account to check you credit balance)
4) format internal drive
5) master reset
6) take out simcard
7) replace battery
check change cda box in kkclient with the CDA162007/1 typed in it
9) click flash phone
10) press c button
11) connect usb
12) when kkclient reads "phone connected", release c button
13) kkclient will read phones' info
14) cda change done!
15) for some reason, kkclient will dissappear/shut down right after (in some cases it doesn't) but this does not effect anything
16) unplug usb
17) replace simcard
18) restart phone (at this time you will see 2 cda lines)
19) master reset phone again
20) flash with seus (seus detects phone as world 1 generic)
21) done! (as for now, you will only have 1 cda line as it should be)
But i did another master reset and ran seus again just to be sure.

connect to SEUS, it always update to latest CID. for P990 is 49
If SEUS can't update then it mean that SE not support it in SEUS or even in EMMA.
