Hi there i have a motorola v3 which is unlocked for any network however when i put a sim in and switch the phone on it comes up with unregistered sim, what causes this and how can i resolve this problem.

first of all you are on the wrong thread!!!
unregistered sim means the phone is BLACKLISTED!!! so to fix this you need to change the imei of it...

Unregistered SIM means that the SIM is not activate on the network.
