View Full Version : EF81 blank LCD, PCB HD problem
hi.
have two EF81 wyth LCD problem - first, LCD work some times then go to gray. after some time agane work ok. Second - all time two LCD are grey.
I try use LCD modul and PCD from good phone and now I knou thet problem is in phone HD. LCD and flat cabels, conektors are ok.
thys two phones is totaly new, not used, no woterdamege, no drops.
I try rehot PCB but not helps.
Did somebody hav similar problem? Hove to fix it?

There are many from this phones in the market !
I have 150 pieces of them !
All of them have blank display but works!
Sometimes i change a resistor and the display works !
The resistor is near the Battery Conector and is black!
On some Pieces this resistor is broken !

Please. Those of EF81 without IMEI are not frozen.
Can someone check if u can write into memory?
Simple Test. "Firmwareupdate" :D :
Change SVN 58 into 59 or so... You need QXDM.

Hi! I also bought one of them as back-up:) Try looking at the display from different angles, they DO display what they should but without backlights :mad:
Maybe you can tell us by referring to the pics in <http://www.ef81.com/Bilder.1472.0.html?&tx_lzgallery_pi1[showUid]=153> which resistor and how you changed it! This would be great and really of help!

look for broken one. In My case theris no broken resistors neear bat conector.

I found out that sometimes a diode is even missing (in my case: V900 aka RB501V40 by ROHM Electronics).
These may be hard to find if you're not a phone manufacturer :confused:
Anyone having an idea where to get them in Germany?
