U can use any interface what make com port(virtual) or normal com port. About device what U told is ok but many users report problems with that interface(looks like bad made), maybe not all serie but some...

hey,, im also not sure,, and trust me ive read all the manuals yet,,, it says that in order to unlock you need to use a RS232 cable,, im not sure about this part,, i have an standard DCU60 cable that communicates through COM,, so is it possible to unlock with this one??

hi mate I do not have those com or 4 in 1 cables, how can I use my UFSX box? coz I think this can be a solution.
Also why don't you do the dcu 60 unlock immediately

U can use UFS3 with COM port emulator and max speed 115200(there was detected some problems on faster speeds).
DCU60 need a different trick/way. I know that for End-user all looks simple and they will don't see where is problem between usb and com, but reality is another. Here is not a problem USB communication itself, but trick to have USB communicaton with phone and own boot inside phone.
RS232 communication can be easy initilised coz all procedures are in ROM of phone and always available, USB is as software part and can't be that simple initialised coz jump to USB procedures in EROM will cause lose control of my boot and continue EROM procedures work. Rewrite all USB functions from 0 need many time.
Also I have big problem with free time and holidays day incoming. Anyway I do my best to make it soon.

never having problems with SETool3box, the box is just a card reader and UC-10 Composite Cable device
