I apologize, if this have been asked before. I have searched on this forum, google, torrent-site, emule, irc etc..., but I couldn't find anything or help regarding my problem.
I have a NOKIA N70 and I want to install TomTom on it, so I can use the latest updated maps. Since the new 675 map versions are crap anyway, I would go for the 660 version maps. I have downloaded the map I need. Its the map called SE DK NO and FI plus major roads of WE (Scandinavia Plus) version 660.1219.
Then you might say, that I need TomTom 6 to run this map. I have tried installing TomTom 6 on my NOKIA N70, but it doesn't work, it just says, that the file is corrupt, which I know it clearly isn't, because it works on a NOKIA N73. Why you might ask, because I think TomTom MOBILE 6 for Symbian can only run on or is only available for the Series 60 Platforms of version 3, which the NOKIA N73 is available as, but the NOKIA N70 is only available as Series 60 Platform of version 2, and you can't, as I know and have searched for, update or upgrade it to a Series 60 Platform of version 3. You can only update the firmware, which has no effect to my problem.
Then you might be saying, that I can only use TomTom 5 with 5xx version maps, but thats not true. I have downloaded TomTom 5 and a 6xx version map and the latest updated TomTom map setup I could install and get to work on my NOKIA N70 is TomTom MOBILE 5.202 (443) with the map Scandinavia_Plus-Map v632. How is that possible you might ask. If you look in this site of POCKETGPSWORLD.COM (http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtom-map-versions.php) you can see a table over the different TomTom program versions that works or doesn't work with the different map versions. My latest TomTom program version that works with 632 map version is on the table closest to the TomTom program version 5.201 (5344) which does work with 632 map versions. So I would say its a reliable table you can follow.
In my case, I want to use the latest map versions with TomTom 5. According to the table I should be able to use 660 map versions with the TomTom program versions 5.000 (4890), 5.210 (5430), 5.210 (5431) and 5.220 (4450). I couldn't find these TomTom program versions, which should work with 660 map versions, but I have tried downloading and installing the different other TomTom 5 versions that I could find, but none of them works with 660 map versions.
So all I need is TomTom MOBILE for Symbian of one of the four versions I have mentioned above. It can also be a different TomTom 5 version as long as it works with 660 map versions.
I am very sorry for the long post, but this is my last way for getting any help. So I would greatly appreciate any help or replies.
