Yes , I can see the Navigator is installed Z:\sys\bin\Mobile8.exe , but doesn't help me. Is there any program with what U can cahnge system files.....
The Nokia Navigator is bad anyway !!! + cant get maps and dont wanna buy , they are $$$

It needs to be synced to route66's server (right?), so it must be somewhere on the phone...

i have a nokia 6110, and evething is fine for me so far.
i use route 66 for nokia N95 (very popular in this forum) instead of the original one included with the 6110. And it work fine if i do not want to say..really good
Just follow those steps to dress your phone the best
-download route 66 for nokia n95 v7.3.545(remember to signed program as we know), and install in memory card
-download map your location (many map in this forum), then put it in the
folder system/apps/maps in mem card
-setting up your internal Gps by :going to menu/application/gps data , then click option on the left side, choose "possitioning setting", then mark only on the "integrated GPS"
-turn your app on and ...enjoy it
(however, you will need "huss87" to sign your app. He maybe busy all the times, anyway try to ask him favor and wait. ha`)
Route 66 v7 software and maps are NOT good ! Nokia 6110 has Route 66 v8 and I hope maps are better too. TOMTOM IS THE BEST ,soft and maps. Still waiting patch for internal GPS. There is are rumors about v7 for symbian, but when ??? (v7 soft is out for other devices)

update:
I've got it working, with the v7.3.478.
It was my fault, because i was inside a house so it can't get any signal.
After going outside, it was able to get up to 7 satellites, i think more isn't possible.
The graphics/and voice is more ugly than the intergrated ones.
Can someone confirm the v7.3.545 working on the 6110 navi?

Just tested it, and got, even in my flat, about 4 satellites. ;)

I still think the very first post hsmt been answered and would most like be the best fastest and easiest way to make maps available, all Nokia 6110 navigator phones came with a dvd with route 66 sync program including I beleive all the maps, how does one rip those maps off the dvd and enabe them to be used by the phone . Surely there must be a way.
Also, Just how big a micro card do I need. barely fits australia maps only

Yes, the 6110navi came with this DVD.
You can even tranfer the maps to the phone, but you can't use them because they need a license/activation...you have to pay for it.
As much as I know there is no workaround/patch/keygen available, yet.
I don't think its as easy as renaming the prm to map.
I bought my 6110navi here in germany, with german map included. So the 512mb SD was already full with the map (only ~100mb left).
I've got a 2gb card, that fits my need for space.
I don't know how big the australian map is, but if you want to use the R66 mobile 7, you need about 430mb only for the maps of france and britain.
I don't know, if the britain map includes scotland and ireland.
That's what i can say, maybe other people knows more...

Stand outside and wait a couple of minutes...
It's until it finds your GPS position...

I've already found my mistake.
Just tryin Navigon MN6, but with no luck. :(
It is the latest built and should work with built-in GPS (N95,6110 Navi),
but i can't select the internal GPS and MN6 isn't tryin to active the gps
(no little satellite dish beside the battery)...
Until there is a crack for the 6110 version of route66 continue to use the local map,
and for countries/regions not included use route66 version 7 you can find in this or other treads...
For the other countries just use version 7 and prm maps...
As always you can buy licens for other maps to 6110 aswell.
If navigation isn't the main thing then use Nokia maps aswell
it's free and cointains all the maps you need for free but you need to pay for navigation.
Continue reading on the forum and we will get the crack when it's available...
And no *.prm maps will not work on the 6110 version (new maps doesn't work on version 7 either).
The maps for 6110 doens't work unless you have the licens (currently) it doesn't help to place them
on the memory card... It would be interesting to try an unused original memory card for an other region.
Buying a new 6110 in both poland and germany and then making a backup of both original microsd
and trying them both in the same phone to see if it would enable it (licens on memory card).
Or deleting the imie file and trying it in an other phone?
If that works then it would be possible just to switch regions ;-)
Or upgrading the phone with an other regional firmware using the old card
to see if it's still valid with original card (without and with imie file...)

Looks like some maps at em.ule are fake other are recognized by the Nokia Navigator but are marked with a closed red lock.
So, no way yet.

Is your 6110 trying to get satellites? Is there a little white satellite dish left of the battery icon,when running the navisoft?
I really hope there will be some news on this front soon, looking forward to it.

I'm currently using a 2gb SD, to bad there are no bigger ones supported. :(

Red lock on italy-map and germany was gone, which was clear due to the format.
I made a backup of my original SD, so no problem at all.
If you want them unlocked, you have to "syncronize licence", with the R66-Server over GPRS-connection.
We need to bypass this or get the map cr4cked already.

It's a good first test but it would be really good if we could test on
a "virgin card" not the sd card but a copy of a brand new card before it
was inserted/started in the phone becouse somefiles are created then
like: \system\apps\Navigator\Data\Imei.dat
Or atleast it was that way on my card.
An empty noname card would do just as good as the original one =)
If someone had 2 brandnew phones and 2 brand new cards and switched
the cards it would be interesting...

Hm, okay...makes sense.
But the imei.dat you mentioned looks really the same. Only the first line is differently so its the IMEI with a "0" in front of it.
It was a test, not a big think...we're just on the beginning. :)
I couldn' make a BU of the brand new card, cos it was already inserted in the phone, when I got my 6110N

No, you can leave your original R66 (v8) on the phone and install the R66 mobile7 on the sd-card, too.
You need enough space on the sd-card, of course.
Cos you need to copy the prefered map in mobile 7 format (prm) there, too.

Hi,
Here comes a small update:
Changing the microsd cards doens't work (even virgin ones).
Also did some other test and basicly the included map pack is
set on the phone memory so the map and memory card is unimportant.
So the next experiment would be to updgrade the firmare with using the
firmware for an other country (But that will have to wait)

I think, an interesting thing would be, if someone buy another map and watch the phones/sd-card content on the verification process.

When starting included route66 on the phone without the microsd,
then looking at "about" it will still show that the included map pack is
the same as for the region and it will also show a key looking at the maps.
(instead of a unlocked lock as it does with the memory card in)
Displaying that the phone keeps the licens (rather then the card).

What is PMM? I'm from Malaysia and I got a Taiwan phone of 6110N. I also want the information/provide support to crack the R66 in my 6110N so it can be using Malaysia map.

Yes the Garmin app works just like the N95 installation on the Navi 6110, no difference between them, picks up satellites no problem and recognizes the maps fine. The only thing I can't get it to do is update the cameras/weather/traffic etc via gprs it only updates via wifi ?? same with my N95 8gb. No idea why but would love to resolve for when out and about. Any help on this would be great!

Hi. I have a problem with this phone having just lost Britain & Ireland Maps. The phone was flashed to add language pack, & after this, Navigator reports that the "Map is not available. Please visit Route 66 shop". On the screen, I can see the World map with blue padlock,open. Under this is UK &" Ireland 2006Q4" + UK & Ireland 2007Q2" both of which have a key symbol. the only option with either of these is to download, but realisticaly(?) this is not possible. Any one got another solution?
