LG Shine and Prada unlocking Dongle [Archive]

Hi Guys

I have the LG Shine and Prada unlocking Dongle but i am experiencing unlocking the LG Shine KE970. I have installed the drivers and software; when i try to unlock the phone i get the error:

"Error Phone not phone"

Does anybody have instructions on using the Lg unlocking donlge or can advise me what i am doing wrong?

man, check in your Hardware Devices, wich COM port your phone takes, and change it on the SOFT, i realy don't think its COM 1 (:D)
and i think all will be fine

depends what cable u using
if usb serial then check your comport and dont use usb/com combo cable
just use kg800 rj45 cable

I am using USB cable that came with the Dongle. When i connect the cable to the phone and computer nothing happens; ie it doesn't ask for any drivers. Is this normal?

If the phone is locked to 3g network. It can not be unlocked as yet!

hi all!! I had to re-format my computer only to realise I didn't have a backup of the LG Shine/parada dongle software and the site which i had used previously is nolonger online!! please can some one point me to a site from where i can download the software from?? thanks!!

Hello, I just recently purchased a ke970 lg shine phone. I want to unlock it, how would I go about this? Can this be dont through data cable? or do I gotta buy those boxes everyone is talking about.. Vygis and furious gold box.. if its possible to unlock through data cable could someone explain please and thank you... if its not possible through data cable then i'll just goto a store and get it unlocked.

Hi all....I have the same problem and I have tried changing the com port but nothing happens still the same error....at present the cable is using com 7 and when i vhange the setting to that it still doesn't do anything.....:eek:....any ideas??

I am once again here with the sam eproblem...again i had to reformat my pc and lost the lg unlcoking dongle software....please can som eone poin tot the the site which i can download it from....the site which i had used previously is no longer up and running!!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!
