you have to format the mem card and then try it as it appears that mem is full

you didn't copied maps in your mem card. copy maps to /system/app/route66/maps

Tom Tom does not work with internal GPS right now. You can use Garmin XT which work with internal GPS.

Tried to install Garmin Mobile XT on my Nokia N 73. It worked OK, but was not able to find the bluetooth GPS (Holux GPSlim 236).

Any with the same problem? Will it work with internal GPS on eg. Nokia N 95?

on the n73 it will use the external bluetooth, but on the n95 it supports the internal gps.

all you need to do is calc the correct unlocking code for the device :)

Quick questions

I have followed your previous post to install the Garmin XT software.

I did ;
A) installed the S60 software
B) installed tha Garmin.MapSource.City.Navigator.Australia.2008
C) copied the two map files (GMAPSUPP.UNL and SW.unl into the root of the Garmin Folder) THERE IS NO .TXT EXTENSION BEHIND IT.

I assume I have done something wrong as the software loads but I have a problem;

It say can't unlock Maps need (MAP ID) Do you have any ideas? where can i find it, help please!!!

Hello I Have a TomTom one and i was trying to install the western and central europe map v.675.1409 and eastern europe map v.680.1536 on it, so i use the keygen and i get the codes, and when i input the codes on my tomtom it says it is the incorrect codes, so I try the same process through tomtom home and bingo when i input the codes it tells me the map is unlocked. So i try to use my gps through tomtom home and i can use it with the maps unlocked, but when i unplug my gps from the computer and try to use it, it tells me the maps are locked... but if i plug to the cumputer and use it through tomtom home the maps are unlocked...


Is there a reason for this? my gps is up to date on the updates.

Sign Your Apps v3.5

Sign any Application with this little easy to use tool!
Allows you to sign you apps by using the Multiple Keys (Bu.key and Sultan.key Included)
All you need to do is
1, Click on Sis File Needed to Sign
2, Click on the Certificate File for the Selected Device (i.e 123456121234567.cer)
3, Click the Signing Key (i.e Sultan.key, Bin.key, etc)
[it will autotype in the selected Signing Key Password if Known]
4, Click the Sign App Button.
5, After your App is Signed you'll have a File that is called the Same name as before but with .SIGNED.SIS on the end in the Same folder where the app is

Other Useful Info

The 'Temp.cer' can be deleted after the signing process is completed
There is a Help Section is there too for people who need advise on signing apps

speed cameras are not available for Route66, yes you need speach files...

make it sure you put maps file i.e. .prm in /system/apps/route66/Maps
may be you didn't created Maps folder in Route66, if that doesn't work then reset the mob to factory settings and format your mem card then try again. also install the sis file in mobile mem while the maps should go in mem card

I got it sorted. I was using the *.map files from the dvd. I then tried a .prm file and now it works fine.

Ive got Garmin Mobile XT running on my North American N95-3 running the latest firmware, using an 8gb microSDHC.

I noticed that things are going a little haywire with my phone since I loaded my mp3s onto the memory card that I have Garmin installed on. If I take the memory card out of the phone things work fine. Any idea what could be causing this?

you need to run the setup.exe from within the garmin xt folder from your pc while your phone is pluged in via the transfer mode :D

2. Launch Garmin XT, got to Settings -> About.
3. Make note of the Numbers on the 1st Line Sometimes called "IMEI" or "Card ID"
4. Launch the keygen, and enter the "Card ID" you see on Garmin XT About page.
5. Select Map product and hit the corresponding Generate button to generate both Device & Map unlock key.
NOTE: If your map is not included in the Map product list, select <custom mapset>, enter the corresponding MAPID and hit OK.
5. Copy (CTRL+C) the Device unlock key to clipboard.
6. Now open the Notepad and paste (CTRL+V) the key and save the file as SW.UNL

you can use any of the 3 because you need to use a external gps device :D

you sat nav programs will work with / without a sim or in a certain mode :)

tomtom is the better software, but garmin xt is more updated

(until TomTom 7 Mobile Edition is released)

you have three options Now:

1, here is your is sw.unl code:

2, copy the un.swl.txt to the garmin folder and then rename it to un.swl then run the garmin xt software and select the internal gps from the gps option :D

or

3, extract the un.rar to the garmin folder and it will put your un.swl file into the correct place then run the garmin xt software and select the internal gps from the gps option :cool:

Most posts on here for N95 are assuming there is a removable SD card to put software on. I own a Nokia 95 8GB which as far as i understand it, has a permanently installed Micro SD Card. Well I tried to install Garmin XT following Bumobiles Excellent instructions posted 11-02-08 (#3420) And I can tell you it works perfectly. Only difference is you have to run Nokia Data install to access the SD Card, in order to copy the files,maps etc to your N95 8GB.

One last Thought, Make sure Bluetooth is turned OFF, as the software wont use inbuilt GPS if Bluetooth is turned on. And turn A-GPS (Assisted GPS) off as well. This is for Nokia GPS software and incurrs network charges.

Double click the link to megaupload when u get there there should b a download link to click on right upper part of window, if not i take it you are regged as a free member. Not sure procedure for that. Probably a timer on page saying wait 2minutes or something. same as rapidshare does.

i think you click on this number to go to BuMobiles post #3420 for instructions as to installing. But as far as cameras are concerned, unpack the rar file open the folder and copy poi.gpi to your POI folder in Garmin on SD card.

Check out #3416 & #3420 & #3429 (Pages 228 & 229) All info there. I could'nt lay it out any plainer than those pages all files u need are there. says to copy ur maps into Garmin folder on SD card. Mine slightly diff cos card built into N95 8GB I had to run the files that licence maps.

to make this route 66_v8 program to work you have do this things :

1, download the program

extract the file and after exracting open the map and copy the file to the first map route66_V8.

2, open the map route66_v8 and then open the data map.

4, change the imei nummber to your phone imei (dont delete the zero)

5, open the phone.dat file also with notepad and put your phone imei
after that close and safe the changes 2the file.

I have manage to change the IMEI number in the imei.dat and phone.dat do I put the whole file into the memeory card?

Instructions:
-------------
1. Download and install Garmin Mobile XT.
2. Launch Garmin XT, got to Settings -> About.
3. Make note of the Numbers on the 1st Line Sometimes called "IMEI" or "Card ID"
4. Launch the keygen, and enter the "Card ID" you see on Garmin XT About page.
5. Select Map product and hit the corresponding Generate button to generate both Device & Map unlock key.
NOTE: If your map is not included in the Map product list, select <custom mapset>, enter the corresponding MAPID and hit OK.
5. Copy (CTRL+C) the Device unlock key to clipboard.
6. Now open the Notepad and paste (CTRL+V) the key and save the file as SW.UNL
7. Copy (CTRL+C) the Map unlock key to clipboard.
8. Open the Notepad again and paste (CTRL+V) the key and save the file as GMAPSUPP.UNL
9. Put your newly created files to your SD Card\Garmin directory and restart GMXT.
8. Program should now recognize your built-in GPS (if not use GpsGate set to generic NMEA GPS receiver) and you should be
able to use detailed maps.

Other times and more frequently it loads a black screen and a second or less later it dissapears back to the applicatiions screen. I've tried following the instructions on the readme.txt about finding the root folder and deleteing files but there appears to be very few files in this folder. Again i'm a noob so it might need to be explained very slowly lol

you may need to factory reset your phone memory via the code *#7370#

then install garmin xt again :)

if using garmin xt just copy the poi.gpi to the garmin folder on the memory card

if using route 66 you can't put custom poi's onto the software (unless you are using a pocket pc version)

then open the file using notepad and enter the text string in

then save and exit the file

just copy all files and folder to the root of the memory card
