Thanx for ur kind response Bu. But now there is another issue, when i choose binpda device tomtom automatically shuts down.. i'm really almost exhausted, Is there any better way out pls.. I heard of Sygic, is there any way to load it on N95 8gb and is it better??????????

Hi. I had the same problem.

This is what i did. I reinstalled everything again.

First go to application manager then uninstall all 3 programs. Then make sure you delete all files from the Memory card.

After youve done that copy the files again to your meory card.

Then first install the sisx then run it. then install the Gpsd then run it. then run tomtom then run it.

when you run tomtom makesure you have the other 2 appllication (GPSD and SISX) running in the background.

that should work...

Vdbhagi - The above method that Fat Boy has outlined is what I had to do as well. The other thing you may need to do... if TomTom hangs when you start it (stuck on the spinning world screen), copy the files from your map directory to the TomTom directory. I don't know why, but it works...

Here's a little lesson on how to turn off / on Private messaging

Listen this is going to far now, search every forum you like i know the t&c's on each forum and the rules....just because you work for some company with copyright laws doesn't mean that we all are breaking the law....:mad:

I post on nealry 6 forums with free honest advise and i'm a respectable guy who works for many mobile phone shops and myself, so how can you state that i'm gaining by cheating people out of there money.

Like a keep saying i've never tried to sell anything to anyone regarding maps, software, etc....if you look carefully you can find anything you want on the internet just need the brain power and the skills to be able to locate anything you wish....:D

so to deal with this matter in hand, why don't you just do what you say "Contact the Forum Admin" and tell them, because there is about 1,000 people posting software, etc on this forum nearly every day.
But you already know that, if you have a problem with umster and camera's then thats nothing to do with me is it...i provide free honest advise to people who need it / can't be a*s*d to locate or find it.

Just scroll back through my posts, because 90% of my posts are statig that people should read the previous posts or posting the same links over and over

Forgive my complete ignorance here. I have downloaded route 66 maps for france and then paid to activate. It appears to be OK but I have got maps for France 2006 q4 and the all areas of france maps are downloaded too but those it says I have to pay for? Can I delete these or are they connected somehow?
Also is 2006q4 the latest maps?

1, factory reset via *#7370#
2, install tomtom 6.02 from the early pages
3, copy maps onto your storage device
4, activate your maps

easy as 1-2-3 :)

You can't activate the maps you need a signed version of route 66 but at the moment no one can sign any apps :mad:

you don't need to sign this app, just install and then copy your maps to your memory card and the activate the maps :cool:

Maps - go in a folder called "Australia v6.75.1431 Maps" on the root of your storage device
Voices - all the voices go in a folder called "voices"

so you can use tomtom 6 (but will need a external gps device)

or use garmin xt (windows mobile edition)

if you cloned a phones imei no you wouldn't get a bill

if you clone a sim card for a contract sim via it's uninue sim id no then that would allow you to have more sims with the same number, come on cordy read up on your gsm skills

Or alternatively, you could try asking BuM, if you think you could understand his English. Maybe ask him to post in his native language then we can all have a go at translating it better? But I'm not sure my PC will display the characters for that.

As for you mrs corfu, the white house or pentagon has better protection than nokia bb5 encryption, sony ericsson's a2 platform encrytion or even samsung msl technogoly but you seem to know all about that

From what I've just read, that is a heck of a lot more than you can say about your posts.

I agree BU, some people think they know what they are talking about and obviously don't. UK billing is based on a SIM card and NOT on an IMIE number.
Who the hell cares if someone clones your IMIE anyway ? Apart from the act of cloning a phone is an illegal activity in the UK, the cloned phone won't work on the same UK network anyway. Also you can at least prove your legitimate ownership of your phone which in most instances was supplied new by your mobile operator anyway.
This is a thread for SATNAV help. Those 2 ****heads need to go and start their own thread somewhere where they can park their prams side by side. Then they can pontificate all they want to with each other ;)

The same thing happens for me with my N95.
I can confirm that Route 66 and Sygic McGuider both flip successfully though on the N95 using the "Landscape Pro" application.

I'm not sure to be honest, I mean not everyone may be using "flip" software on their phones, and TT works fine until you actually rotate the phone. As I said before, Route66 and Sygic McGuider don't seem to suffer from the same problem so you might want to try those.

Hi.
1 - Your Australia map folder must be named Australia and be in the root folder of the memory card. All maps have their own folder names in the root folder.
2 - Your map version must be a version 6 not a version 7.
3 - You should probably install the sis file when the folders are correctly installed on the memory card and with the correct map name.
4 - TT version 6 doesn't support N95 with internal gps, you need to search on here for a modified installation sisx that includes a couple of other programs which will make it work using the internal assisted gps. When you have run those other 2 programs then it will work with the assisted gps (internal).

(You just need to read the forum postings)

I downloaded Route66_Mobile_7.0.989 and put it on my memory card. The manual says it doesn't need any installation or activation, but it doesn't show up on my phone (n80). What to do?

You need version 7.3.545 (cracked) for a Nokia.
You install the sis file using file manager and then install the map
files to the folder on the SD card called \system\apps\route66\data\maps

No one can sign an unsigned sis file for you anymore. To sign your own file you need to have an account with symbian signed (no new account applications are being accepted by them right now), or, a hacked phone, or even a key and certificate from a site that can issue them and then you use a self signing program. If you do a google search for "N95 +hack" I'm sure you will find out more :)

you can't sign apps at the moment, if you wanted to get a public id for symbiansigned.com you would be looking at about $400 USD :mad:

you will just have to wait for a solution.....:cool:

You can sign your own sis files for your own mobile :)

You "need" to register on a Chinese forum and give your IMIE number there. After 24/48 hours they will give you a key & cert , then you just use a self sign program and woohoooooooo ! :D

You can sign your own sis files for your own mobile :)

You "need" to register on a Chinese forum and give your IMIE number there. After 24/48 hours they will give you a key & cert , then you just use a self sign program and woohoooooooo ! :D

However, I guess I'm a bit of a "tart" really, they can "have" my IMIE number if it gets me a key & cert and so far my phone is still working LOL :D

So they clone your phone and use it in China or anywhere else, so what ? Phone billing (in the UK anyway) is based on your SIM card and NOT on your IMIE. 2 identical IMIE numbers will not work on the same network AFAIK, however, no matter what happens, I know I hold the legitimate phone and so will my operator so what the heck :cool:

Allows you to sign you apps by using the sultan.key

All you need to do is

1, Click on Sis File Needed to Sign
2, Click on the Certificate File for the Selected Device (i.e 123456121234567.cer)
3, Click the Sign App Button.
4, After your App is Signed you'll have a File Called "Signed.sis" in the Same folder where the app is
5, if you need to delete the backup files just press the "Delete Temp Files Button"

we used to be able to sign apps via www.symbiansigned.com (http://www.symbiansigned.com) to create a certificate, but now you can't create them anymore

You CAN sign your own SIS files :D FORGET all the hype and paranoia about IMIE numbers, they don't want you to try it ! Who the heck cares about your IMIE ? I got my key/cert in 24 hours and now I can sign everything :)

i have installed route 66 on my n95, i have put the maps in, now when i try to start the app it comes up where you enter the 16 digit code, but before i have time to enter it the app close.. :(

I have Tom tom v675.1405 western and central europe installed on my Medion PPC 150. I have some POIs for Uk installed individually (as per the installation instructions)within one of the folders, which work but how do I also install POIs for France as most of the files are named the same.

no its my account and it is prob because it is one zip file and not 8 small files also i did not know you can only download large files with premium account but i have one its only about £3.50 A MONTH which isnt the earth for a map costing around £20 on tomtom site.
p.s i dont gain a penny from this just sharing software others have shared with me.

Hmm. It's actually £39.95 to buy a legal copy from TomTom's website. It's a shame we can't get a free pirate membership of rapidshare, but that would be cheating, wouldn't it? It also said on Rapidshare that "the owner of this file may carry the downloading cost by making use of TrafficShare" but I don't suppose you'd be willing to do that out of your altruistic vision of "service to the community", so that the person with the "Problem" gets it Solved Here free.:rolleyes: Still, I suppose you couldn't do it anyway as you are NOT the owner of the file - that's TomTom, isn't it? You don't see it do you?

So, at last, a TomTom Problem Solved Here - namely the problem of how to get hold of a free pirate copy of an 18 month old TomTom map (only not actually free). I don't suppose TomTom really mind all that much, as they've done maybe five map updates since then.:D

Since when as v7.20 and v8.05 maps been out of date by 18 months ?

Come on, get your facts right since v6.75 maps have been over 18 months old and YES there have been plenty of updates since then v7.05, v7.10, v7.15, v7.20, v8.05......and many more to come

This thread is all about HELP ! Helping people to get TT to work on their own systems WITHOUT having to PAY to "test" a map or something else that in a lot of cases is already well out of date when it is offered for sale (TT Maps).

BU Mobiles is doing a FANTASTIC job here for FREE ! No monies earned from anywhere, and if it wasn't him, it would be someone else who was offering help.

That is what tends to happen when a company has a useful product for sale BUT who then market overpriced out of date "updates" by way of offering customer "support :)

When a company get the product and service right in the first place, and then they charge "reasonable" ongoing prices to keep their customers happy with updates, customers come back to buy more. When a company is perceived to be overcharging the end user at every step, then you can't lay any blame at users who then seek to reduce their outgoings.

This user doesn't condone piracy. If I triall a product,then, once trialled, if it seems to be worth the charges, then I would purchase it and recommend others to do the same. However, there is so much overpriced rubbish "out there", I personally always attempt to try before I buy :)

Hve you ever been to Corfu because i have a few times and the shops and markets are full of FAKE DESIGNER GOODS it would be like going to hell for you.

PS v6.75 / 6.8 iis still latest map for symbian devices but i wouldent expect a novice to know that.

Why dont you try to look at what we do as sharing which is a good thing, one person buys the map and decides to share it with his extended friends after all if you buy a large bag of sweets you share them out or do you not practice this ritual in your household. ( only asking )
