Even software writers can sometimes be thieves. Some steal code and improve it, some steal original ideas then begin from a cold start, and improve the final product.

Stop whinging, get a real life, and leave us alone to "help" the software writers improve their protection, but more importantly improve their product and customer service.

I have 2 original TT dedicated units. They were probably "fairly" priced to start with BUT when you pay for an update and find there is NO improvement, it is a sign of a company that is "milking" its customers and you are reluctant to go through a repeat exercise.

I am not prepared to be "milked". I am quite happy to pay for an improved product provided the price is reasonable. Hence, the try before you buy theory.

Torrents made simple
--------------------

1, Download Utorrent from www.utorrent.com (http://www.utorrent.com)
2, install to hard drive
3, run the install program and allow it to configure the program with windows
4, use google or mininova to find a torrent for the files you need

i.e. Route 66
So in google type "route 66 torrent"
then click on the torrent link and press open, this will load the torrent into utorrent and start it downloading :D

Maybe due to a firmware issue on these models (Go 510,710,910) with this new FW 7.161 that causes your maps and setting not to be saved.
Try it yourself, but i guess you already know that with all the knowledge you have with TomTom Secrets....! :cool:

I want to upgrade my Route66 map as the version I got with my 6110 Navigator had the maps for 2006 pre-installed on it, and actually navigating through South Africa is a bit confusing as the roads in many areas have changed.

So lemme get you up to speed with what I have done thus far:- I downloaded the Map for 2008 Q3 but I don't know what to name the Map file, or if its' name even matters?? I downloaded it to my PC as it kept on cancelling the download when I tried from my phone. I cannot find the Route66 app folder on my phone...so I don't know where to put it on my MMC? And lastly, the SouthAfrican Map was the pre-loaded map on my phone, how do I get the new map(if I ever get it on my phone) to be "licensed" as the default map?

or try pasting my version over the top of yours and your missing files will be replaced.

You have a corrupt phone memory, format your phone memory via the code *#7370#

and then install again and have fun :D

1, goto memory card in setting, utilities, memory and select backup phone
memory
2, then factory reset phone via *#7370#
3, after restore backup from memory card
4, install tomtom

C) - Are both of them up to date?

2. The battery will not last very long - you are really supposed to use it connected to the cigar lighter socket in the car with the cable which comes with it.

1. you need the voice files for the speed camera's :D

2. the battery should last you about 4-5 hours for a 2 hour charge :cool:

I asked WHICH speed camera POIs. If you're not sure, get DriveZ.exe and run it to get and then post here the list of all files in the map folder of your 520.

Just select manage poi's, warn when near poi, click on the poi's you want to apply the voice files to and then select custom sound, then press yes for your selected voice file

i.e. gatso.ogg :D

what version of tomtom can i put on an E65 and where do i get its map ? Apart from tomtom what are the other symbian GPS software i can use on this type of phone ? Thanks for your quick reply. :cool:

TomTom 6.02 will work on Nokia E65 but you can only have upto V6.75 Maps (all maps can be found via the search button)

i.e. type in UK and IE v6.75 Maps


Try Garmin XT it will work with nokia symbian phones but you will need a bt gps reciever :cool:

Help! I have tried installing GarminXT and TomTom 6.01 on my N95 8Gb.
Both instal without error, but they both hang on the opening splash screens and don't respond.

The phone is on a Vodafone contract, running ver 11.0.026.

I have a BT GPS receiver as I know i cant use the internal GPS receiver

Does anyone know if Vodafone locks these apps out, or is there some sort of firewall or similar app blocking them?

Finally a real fix for using TomTom 6 and the internal GPS on the N95 8Gb

Down load the ZIP file from the link on there, it's virus free checked with avast.

Then follow the instructions below EXACTLY as Dave says. Don't do what I did and just install the files, you have to run them in order as well.

1st, Tomtom 6.02 on n82 works but you can only have v6.75 maps or below (you can't install v7 maps)

2nd, Route 66 v8 can't be patched at the moment (so thats i waste of time)

3rd, Try Garmin XT, Supports 2008 maps and Speed Camera's (i'm using it on my nokia n95 8gb and n82) :cool:

I can confirm, downloaded GraminXT from the link on BU's first post here and it works fine with internal gps.

It is a bit slower picking up the birds at first compared to my bt gps, but work it does, thanks BU :D

Hi!

I made a software update on my nokia N95, I was trying to re-install Route 66 V7.3.545 again and the internal GPS is not working.
I believe it has something to do with the expire date on my Certificate 13-03-2008. I rolled back my phone date to 10-01-2008. I was able to intall the app but the internal GPS still not working.
Can anyone help?

Quick tip:

Set your phones date back to the time when the certificate was created and it will install :D

Originally worked i think but now route 66 v7.0.3489 on my diamondis knacked . loads up fine menus fine bvut when i click to navigate somewhere it finds the place but when i click to navigate the blue section normally at bottom of screen is missing and i get the windows loading wheel.

Route 66 can't be signed anymore to work on your nokia n95, try garmin xt it can be found on a thread called "Garmin XT Symbian S60.4.10.60" under the GPS Section :D

you don't need your imei for tomtom 6.02 to work on the nokia n95 8gb

Try setting your phones date back a 9 months to a yaer and try installing again then put date back to normal when done.

Yes i use it myself on n95 just replace this map with old one on device then if it asks for activation code let me know device i.d and i will generate code and and give it to you and thats it. And it is 6.75 just right click on the PNA file and open with notepad and it will tell you.

I own a Nokia N95, currently using firmware v20.0.015.
I'm trying to get a sisSign system installed on my phone, and so far I have followed 10+ guides, and the result is always the same. The phone overwrites the installment of the Route66 .sisx file even though I've followed the guides 100%.. Used x-plore, secman, mobilesigner, TRK etc etc etc etc...

I'm not about to ask somebody else to do it for me, but maybe somebody could sign my route66, and then I could continue with setting the rest up. Route66 is the only app i desperately needs :D

Btw: Route66 is way larger than what "www.symbiansigned.com" can take sadly.. So I can't use a open sign from that site either. Symbiansigner only takes 4mb, and route66 is 11mb+

Yes. After you install it, it will not cost you anything to use...

Post your imei no and the map id of the maps you are using.

Im Sarah From the Netherlands and lately i've purchased the t-mobile version of samsung Omnia witch has a integrated A-GPA chip gratefully. I've made some attempts to install TTN7 with BENELUX maps but i failed at the last step :suicide:. I'll try to explain what i did step by step and hope some one can help me make this TomTom "go"!

Files included in my download:

TTN_7.450.9028.cab
RASTER and VOICES
TomTom7.Benelux.v715.1689.rar
Benelux-10.meta
6B C6 A2 C8 4E DA ED 4D 49 7A 01 FC 30 E5 97 C8 Benelux-10.meta
tt7_keygen.exe


Instructions I followed:

1. I installed ttn7 by putting the cab file in Omnias 8gb internal memory and running it
2. I Copied the folders RASTER and VOICES to the “navigator” map created after the installation
3. I extracted and copied the folder of Benelux to the root of the memory
4. I searched for the device ID by reading the “ttnavigator.bif” file with note pad
5. I copied the Benelux-10.meta (from the map file), the meta code (pasted in a meta.txt file) and tt7_keygen.exe to my D:\TTN7
6. Opened the command prompt on my pc and navigated to this folder
7. I Executed the command: tt7_keygen.exe D:\TTN7 “my device coe”
8. I got the "OK" message and the new “Benelux-10.meta.dct” that came with it
9. I copied this new Benelux-10.meta.dct file along with the old Benelux-10.meta file back to the root of the memory

Results:

Finally I opened tomtom adjusted voice etc. till I couldn’t go on because of the message CANT FIND ANY MAPS appeared

I tried the same steps with an other map (TomTom7.Australia.v720.1838) just to be sure. Still I got the same message!

Is there anyone who experienced same issue? How can I solve this? I look forward to your answers!!

1) Install 1.bt.sisx. Run it. It should say “Device added”
At this point you can also uninstall it - it is no longer needed.

2) Install 2.GPSd.jar. Run this prior to starting TomTom IMPORTANT!

3) Install 3.tomtom.sisx

4) Copy the TomTom folder from the 0.Copy.To.MEMCARD.Root.rar
to the root of your memory card.

5) Run TomTom. Choose Yes when it asks you to switch on bluetooth. Go to Change preferences, Show GPS status, Configure, Other Bluetooth GPS receiver, and select the
BiNPDA GPS.

* You need to change the preferences every time you start tomtom. It won’t
remember that you were using the internal GPS*

* If you need to switch from internal, to an “external” receiver, you may need
to click on “tomtom receiver”, and then “other receiver” to get the list of devices again.

Currently GMXT v5.00 works great with the E90 (I am currently running it). Route 66 for Symbian S60 3rd Ed also works with the E90, but and the big but, we are all looking at getting the maps unlocked for Route 66. For now the quickest way to get up and running with satnav on the E90 is to use GMXT. The quick and dirty to getting GMXT running is to download and install the software in following order.

1.) The world basemap.
2.) The support files.
3.) GMXT v5.00.
4.) Crack GMXT using Jetmouse's k3yg3n (V1.5).
5.) Obtain the mapset you need.
6.) Crack map with k3yg3n and enjoy.

Hope this helps.

locate the reset button press and hold this 10 seconds then power on and hold power for 5 seconds this should reset all usage data from the device

or you could try reset factory setting in the gps settings ???

If you have route 66 installed and you are looking for maps for UK Do a search for torrent files . Once Route 66 is working it is just a matter of adding extra maps into your map directory and then selecting them from route 66

Well thank you Bum. I didn't post it for your benefit, of course. I assumed you're on a cheapskate phone deal anyway (maybe you're even on that deal using all those imei numbers people post for you?), but you wouldn't want to pay for data anyway. I may be interested because I have unlimited data for my smartphone. I'll bet the maps are a lot more up to date than all the cracked ones you offer people. Naturally you won't want to recommend them 'cos they don't have to go to your pal's websites and help pay for the style of living to which you have become accustomed.:rolleyes:

wrong section, but you need to downgrade firmware to 5.50 or 6.01 then unlock via bb5 king (then upgrade if you want to v7.00) ;)

The latest maps for this version is v7.25 at the moment

Remember to locate the tomtom keygen from the 'tomtom v8 software and maps' thread to enable you to calc the correct meta and dct files to patch your tomtom software and maps :D

you can't sign your app to your phone anymore, try breaking the security on your s60 symbian phone via reading the posts on breaking security of s60 symbian phones in this gps section.

or you can try and install garmin xt 5 on your symbian device

I have a Nokia 6220 with internal GPS (A-GPS) and with Garmin XT and full Europe map works very well. I am very happy with it, except a small problem. In navigation mode it shows everything (speed, average speed, trip time, ) but no DISTANCE to my destination point. Is it something I can do myself somewhere in the settings, or is it a Garmin XT problem?

If that's so I would like some step by step details about the TOmTOm installation. I have already downloaded this: TomTom Mobile v6.02 S60v3 SymbianOS9.1 Cracked-BiNPDA and I also have some maps that I would like to install. I saw something some "meta" things.....not my field of expertize. Can Someone send me some DETAILED links ?????

Can anyone help me with this? Ive have found torrents for the european maps but I cant find any info on if it will work or how to get it to work???

Managed to find an install for Tom Tom 6 and its on the phone but I am struggling to track down a map to use which is what i posted requesting help for.

I have already been advised to use Tom Tom 6 on my device.

guys i have a tomtom one (7.9 firmware)

i have 4 maps

benelux plus 6.5
benelux 7.25
western europe 8.10
eastern europe 7.20

only the benelux map works . it cant find the other maps, but when i conntect to tomtomhome it says there are four maps. but i can just use 1 and thats the old benelux 6.5 map. i already cracked the ttsystem and i patched all the maps. i dont understand it

you need a cracked version of route 66 (but the problem is you need to sign your application or bypass your security certificates on your phone)

best advise is install garmin xt v5.0 :cool:

PM whom? You obviously still have difficulty with English, BuM. My post which has been deleted began with the words "Who can I complain to?" - as a new, inexperienced Moderator, you should understand that your "warning" hasn't answered that reasonable request, indeed you have ignored it.

Except you suggest that a member of admin has passed my details out to the spammers - Admin have not done so previously, so it must be some new member with access to my email details and I thought that such access is normally available to Moderators as well as Admin (it IS available to Moderators on other websites). My post explained that my email address here is unique - I have many email addresses purposely in order to be able to identify who is letting my details out to spammers. The spam came to this email address, so it can only have been obtained from this website. I am aware that some unscrupulous people make money out of selling on such details and that seems to be what has happened here.

As for insulting other members, you have again suffered from misunderstanding English and inexperience as a Moderator, as you have previously allowed many severe insults to me to pass unchallenged. How about post #4184 for example? I would quote the saying about sauce for the goose, but it would go over your head!

I haven't made a cet file yet and cant remember if I installed the signed or unsigned version of Route66Mobile7.
So which one should I install? Signed or Unsigned

for garmin speed cameras you need to take tomtom speed cameras and convert them into a gpi file with the garmin poi loader :cool:

you need a signed version to run on your device, generate a certificate and then apply the certificate to the unsigned version of route 66.

this will allow you to install the signed version on the device with the imei used to sign the app :D

you can't create certificates any more, use a different sat nav program ;)
