I have llloked through the forum as you advised, I am still lost.....

Phone - Nokia 6110 Navigator

Maps needed - UK, Scotland, Ireland and France.

Software on phone - Route66 ( version unknown, has file ext .map not .prm )

Please help, really new at all this and I am getting more and more confused.

ive downloaded a copy of route 66 7.3.45 cracked also version 7.3.486 unsigned i have signed both versions no problems there... when i go to install it i get as far a an error message coming up it say can not install constrated by certificate

Unsigned installer file with Instructions:

Once signed, install as normal (to memory card, not phone). This installer comes with no maps, so you need to download and copy over the UK maps.

Once downloaded, unrar to be left with a folder called maps. Copy this whole folder to /SYSTEM/APPS/ROUTE66/, where SYSTEM is a folder in your memory card root.

Now, browse to the applications folder in your phone and run the program (its called Mobile7). When it asks for activation, choose the internet option, and then input ANY random 16 characters (but do not include spaces).

When I started route 66 it told me that the "resource files" were missing, and with the help of this site I found out that I should make a folder named maps and add the maps to solve the problem. So this all seemed to work as I could finally boot up route 66, it gave me a message:

welcome to productregistration. Choose a option
from the options menu (map benelux 1.7)

But this is difficult to read cause it stays op for less than a second and goes right back to the nokia menu.

I cant seem to find what the problem is
and hopefully you guys can help me

Good afternoon to everyone, there's a real wealth of info here isn't there, glad I joined.

The main reason for joining (until I saw everything else that is going on here) was to try to find a way to get that damned Route66.Mobile.v7.3.486.N95_unsigned sis file to work on my N95.

I have seen lots around the net about registering on Symbian Signed but on doing this and looking through the porcess it looks quite complicated (and expensive).

Now I see there are quite a few people here who obviously know a lot more about this than others (uncluding me!) and it appears that all you need is the phones IMEI number. I have no idea how this is used but if someone could get the file signed for my phone I'd be very grateful as it's driving me nuts at the moment.

all you do is uninstall the route 66 program
but don't delete the maps
then delete all messages in the inbox
and install route 66 again

now everything will work fine!

all you need to do is

1st, factory reset the phone (*#7370#)
2nd, re-install the route 66 software
3rd, copy your maps back into the correct folder (System\apps\route66\maps)
4th, all is done (one working Route 66)

That happen when you are plugged to your PC via the USB/nokia .. mode.

Try swithing off and on.

In the worst case simply desinstall/reinstall the soft.

i got the version from noeman.
After installation it shows a version 6.350. You have to install a cr4ck called "navigon_6.3_cr..."

Have tried it with germanalps.map, but I couldn't select neither the internal nor a external GPS?

After this, I've downloaded the 6.3 directly from navigon.
Installed it and was wondering, why the cr4ck wasn't unable to be installed.

I'm confused...you can find me on all major forums. :)

i have sucessfully installed route 66 mobile 7 app on my phone memory. i have downloaded route 66 north america east maps. i put them on an empty memory card and i was able to get it to work on my n95. the gps works and shows me my location and maps, but if i try to navigate or plan a route, the application shuts down. i don't know what to do because i think i did the installation right. others have the same problem with the north america east maps, but nobody seems to have a solution. could the maps be bad? do you have any idea where i can maybe get a north america map that works? thanks

Regarding: Nokia 6110 Navigator
-------------------------------

Until there is a crack for the 6110 version of route66 continue to use the local map,
and for countries/regions not included use route66 version 7 you can find in this or other treads...
For the other countries just use version 7 and prm maps...
As always you can buy licens for other maps to 6110 aswell.

If navigation isn't the main thing then use Nokia maps aswell
it's free and cointains all the maps you need for free but you need to pay for navigation.
Continue reading on the forum and we will get the crack when it's available...

And no *.prm maps will not work on the 6110 version (new maps doesn't work on version 7 either).
The maps for 6110 doens't work unless you have the licens (currently)
it doesn't help to place them on the memory card...

OK, its seems that it will be impossible to use my existing software on the Nokia 6110 navigator, as I need to have this sorted out in the next 7 days so I can use the navigator while over in the UK, Can someone please make it very simple for me and supply links to the below items -

ok. i followed the tutorial for getting a certificate for route66. i got to a point where im suppose to edit the autosign_sis and i did that but when i double clicked on it nothing happens? am i missing something? coz the instruction says that it suppose to create a signed sis already? im so frustrated now. can anyone please help out a newb??

HI, does anyone get the "memory full, please close some applications, and try again"???? :confused: My phone is brand new, with nothing extra installed and ALL applications are closed. With a small map like Hong Kong it works perfectly, but with the South Africa maps (posted earlier in this thread), it gives me the memory full error?!? :(

All you need to do is 1st, install this app

Can someone please make this a easy and as simply as possible, I a really a newbie about all this and need major help.

I only wish that the version I have on my phone already was usable, but its not, so I need a already fully usable and installable Route66 with australian, UK and France maps.

I have no idea what signed and Unsigned are, I have no idea what I am really doing. Some one please tell me what I need to supply so that I can get a working Route66 aplication on my Nokia 6110 Navigator with usable maps for the above countries.

I only ask that you supply links ( Makes it easy for me ) and advise me what I need to supply you or what I need to do.

Please be patient with me. I dont even download apps and games normally but this is a need not a want.

Have you made sure that the map files are in a folder in the root menu with the name of the map as the name of the folder just putting the files in the root won't work as each map has its own folder.

I managed installing and opening the route 66 app on my n95, but when i load the romania map it returns me a "memory full" error and the program stops, if i delete the prefs.ini file and start again with the easterneurope map it works fine. does anyone has a link of romania map the newest one, the one from bumobile's post is from 2005!!!

-This archive contains - Route66_7.3.545.Patched.UnSigned.SIS file, nothing else
Need help with this, it says unsigned, do I need a cert for it etc, Please supply link to tutorial or email instructions to me if needed. From what I understand, I can use any 16 digit number when choosing interent option, is this through the phone or do I have t register somewhere. This information was not supplied with file in a text etc

b/ Map files downloaded ( via link provided by BuMobiles )
- Australia - contains PRM file - I know this - just place in MAPS folder
- Britian ( multi archive ) Britain.part1.rar, part2.rar - I know put in MAPS folder after uncompressing
- France Again contains PRM, I figure again MAPS folder

So the only problem I have would be the actual program itself

is this already, shall I say cracked, unlocked or certified. Or do I need to supply you with my phones IMEI number to get a cert, How do I install. Thats the only question I have.

Hoping someone can provide an aswer. Using a virgin 2GB card, will keep original Route66 software and Australian maps on original 512MB card that came with phone.

The Navcore 7 is distibuted by TomTom through Home. So you'll just have to wait till it is offered to you through Home.
They started with the newest devices (OneXL, One 3rd edition) and will continue top down, till eventually your TomTom Clasic will be served.
How long this will take depends, as far as I understand, for a great deal on how many problems they encouter in the new Navcore version on the old devices.

So be patient, it will all come to you in due time

Well I have a nokia 6110 navigator aswell and you need to sign route 66 in order to use it. You need developer certificate request and binsign and to register at symbiansigned.com. BUT it is no use since nobody can't register there!!!!!!! Site has reached its account limits...

If you try to install tom tom or route 66 you will get a cerficate error

Hello, I finally did it to get the route 66 signed. But it wants to replace the internal software. I made you a cert. But you need binsign from a other topic certificate request.

From my understanding u need tomtom s60v3 and then need to get the maps in my case UK but how do u activate tomtom ??

Ok, install to your memory card.

Then connect the phone to a pc via USB and select mass storage on the phone. Browse the contents, which will only be the memory card and you should see the system folder. If not, then change the folder viewing properties on the PC so that you can see hidden and system files/folders.

hi i wanted to try both... have signed files ok... got version .486 and .535
found uk maps for first one for 146 meg and the 2nd one for 226meg

jus need to find the right tomtom stuff i have a external good gps so need to test how tomtom is might save alot of battery by not using internal gps

ok,

I have the cer and csr files for my EMIE number, I have downloaded Auto_signsis bat, sign_sis.exe, sultan.key, placed them all in a seperate folder with a copy of the Route66_7.3.545.Patched.UnSigned.SIS I previously downloaded.

Edited the auto_signsis.bat to point at the sis file i have for "route66 unsigned" entered the part for change to signed ( route66_signed) entered the #########.cer and then sultan.key ######

clicked file then save ( not save as ) ran the batch file, doc screen came up for about 10 secs. new file route66_signed.sis now appears in folder.

Is that it, I can now install the program on the phone,

If so, Silly as it may sound, How do I install it on the phone once I have it on the ( new / Clean/ virgin )mobile phone memory card.

Have I missed a step during the autosign bit, is there a further stpe I need to take before uploading to the memory card. Please let me know.

Hey can someone help me out with gettin the full unlocked maps, red light camera and speed camera warnings for the nokia navigator 6110 for australia please. i traveled from newcastle to sydney today and the gps led me the wrong way as my maps arnt fully updated, any help is appreciated. cheers Garth


For now is impossible, nokia 6110 use extension .map not .prm, safety and red camera for now is idem ,see the forum maybe one day find your maps and camera ( i wait ) :(

ok,

I have the cer and csr files for my EMIE number, I have downloaded Auto_signsis bat, sign_sis.exe, sultan.key, placed them all in a seperate folder with a copy of the Route66_7.3.545.Patched.UnSigned.SIS I previously downloaded.

Edited the auto_signsis.bat to point at the sis file i have for "route66 unsigned" entered the part for change to signed ( route66_signed) entered the #########.cer and then sultan.key ######

clicked file then save ( not save as ) ran the batch file, doc screen came up for about 10 secs. new file route66_signed.sis now appears in folder.

Is that it, I can now install the program on the phone,

If so, Silly as it may sound, How do I install it on the phone once I have it on the ( new / Clean/ virgin )mobile phone memory card.

Have I missed a step during the autosign bit, is there a further stpe I need to take before uploading to the memory card. Please let me know.

Installing is quite easy just use nokia p.c suite and doubleclick the sis file OR just place the signed sis file like: route66 7.... unsigned.sis on your phone's MicroSD and run it from there.

Should work for all versions of route 66 but I tried 545 and it worked..

All I get is " cant install, constrained by certificate ". Route 66, GB Map, working fine.

One problem however, it's coming up with 0 satellites and 'no GPS' underneath, is this just because I'm inside and it can't get signal? Or do I have to configure it to use the internal GPS?

Yeah I done that, worked first time also.

Was just a bit worried however, as my TomTom on my PDA - when it comes up with 'no GPS' it means it can't find the receiver. Obviously different for the PDA. However, it works now, so it's all good. Pretty good navigator, no where near TomTom standards but still quite good.

Hi

I have installed route 66 mobile 7.3.468 which i got elsewhere and i did not have to do any of this signing stuff? i juat copied the folder onto my memory card and then back dated the phone and installed it through nokia pc suite. it didnt come with a map and so i need the UK map. ive tried a few of the links in this thread and they either dont work or i cant get them. can somebody post a working like to the UK map, or a working version of route66 with a uk map installed?

i have also installed tomtom 6.01 mobile and again i did not have to sign anything like its shown in this thread? i installed as i mentioned above but once again i need the UK map. i cant get a working link or map for tomtom mobile 6 either so can anybody post a working link to either the map or full version including uk map?

also, why didnt i have to sign anything?
sorry for questions im new to the symbian OS and using my new N95.
