the certificate was not signed using the same key thats why the crypto error?

make a certificate using the sultan key and sign app using sultan key!

your certificate was made by a different key (not the Sultan.key)

you need to find out what key was used and edit the auto_sign sis.bat and mod it to say your key file.key instead of the sultan.key

or

just ask someone to make a certificate and post a signed app for you instead

You need to install the maps of your area before it will work. Did you put maps in the system/apps/Route66/maps folder?

Yes there is turn by turn, once you map route it should tell you route is calculated and will give you turn by turn voice nav.

2) - the internal GPS is SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOW....any ideas on how to speed it up...
Mine is pretty quick, usually faster during the day a little slower to pick up sats at night. Just make sure slide pad is open.

3) - anyone have the link to a working TomTom version with UK maps for the N95...
There is a working version of Tom Tom but it use an external GPS receiver only at this time

4) - when trying to install other .sis software - why does the installer say "Expired Certificate"???
If that happened, just set your date on the phone back to 2006, install .sis software and once done reset your date back to 2007.

Like someone else in the previous threads, I've installed Route 66 (build 545), and have the maps installed properly, but don't get voice navigation. The route shows up on screen (purple roads showing me where i go), and there's no mute on, and my phone's not on silent.

Yes you need to install the maps. There's South Africa maps link floating around somewhere in this thread.

1) - Does it have/support turn-by-turn navigation? If so how do I enable it....
2) - the internal GPS is SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOW....any ideas on how to speed it up...

4) - when trying to install other .sis software - why does the installer say "Expired Certificate"???

Expired certificate problem - put the date of the phone some 2 or more months back and install program

Tom tom does have turn by turn navigation - but you need external GPS receiver for the moment - and it is much faster than your internal one

5, if you need to delete the backup files just press the "Delete Temp Files Button"

I am clueless when it comes to this sort of thing. I am hoping you might be able to help

I got tomtom 6 to work on my E90 but it needs external GPS
So I am spend a huge amount of time trying to get Route 66 going to access the internal GPS.

It could be hidden, plug your phone to PC using "Mass Storage". If you don't see it use the "SEARCH" on your PC, type in Route66.

Sign Your Apps v2.0
===============

Allows you to sign you apps by using the Multiple Keys

All you need to do is

1, Click on Sis File Needed to Sign
2, Click on the Certificate File for the Selected Device (i.e 123456121234567.cer)
3, Click the Signing Key (i.e Sultan.key, Bin.key, etc) [it will autotype in the selected Signing Key Password if Known]
4, Click the Sign App Button.
5, After your App is Signed you'll have a File that is called the Same name as before but with .!SIGNED!.SIS on the end
in the Same folder where the app is

hi mate,

you need to install the maps to the folder called system\apps\route66\maps

connect your n95 via usb cable and select file transfer mode
make sure hidden files are showing
then click on system folder
click apps
click route66
create the folder called maps
copy maps into the maps folder

easy as 1-2-3

Hi guys, sorry my first post is a question but am confused about r66 for the n95, if you dont mind me asking How do I get a cert file and what is it actually for ,I want to put r66 on my n95 but it just says "certificate problem" when i try to install it.Any advice will be gratefully received. The file you see here are "Unsigned" it need to be sign with your IMEI number for it to work speciffically with your phone.

You need to sign up with Symbiansigned.com and request a certificate (which allow you to sign any apps to your phone). If you can't sign up, usually if you post your IMEI # someone with an account will make a cert for you. There are plenty of thread to show how to sign an app.

Push *#06# on your phone to get the IMEI #

maps go into the system\aps\Route66\maps it could be hidden so make sure all hidden file is shown when you hook the phone to pc using Mass Storage.

Hook your phone up to PC and chose "Mass Storage" look for system\apps\Route66\maps If no maps folder make one in Route66. If it's hidden search for it or make sure you chose show all hidden files.

Note to anyone wanting help with installing maps to the phones for tomtom and route 66

i'm going to make a version of the signed apps program with a built-in folder created / copier for all your maps.
All you need to do is select where your maps are, then select what version and platorm you are running (TomTom Mobile 6, Route 66 Mobile 7, etc) and press the 'install maps' Button

i will keep you informed about when it's going to be released, etc

it will be easy as 1-2-3

Titan , BU, helleo guys…Titan has kindly supplied me with a cert. file for my 356996016431214 n95.. and I have run this with BU’s sign your apps program with associated files… Route66, sultan,,,ect, which results in a new sis file being created unsigned.sis in the same folder, which obviously gets a cert error on the phone. Any pointers? Very new to all this so I apologies!
