TomTom v6, Route 66 v6-7 Firmware and Maps

Titan , BU, helleo guys…Titan has kindly supplied me with a cert. file for my 356996016431214 n95.. and I have run this with BU’s sign your apps program with associated files… Route66, sultan,,,ect, which results in a new sis file being created unsigned.sis in the same folder, which obviously gets a cert error on the phone. Any pointers? Very new to all this so I apologies!
Make sure you use the right one. The unsign is in the folder, once signed a new file with extension .signed will be in the same folder. Make sure you are loading the new signed version.

I just open up that Zip file and your cert with .cer ending is in there. Not sure what's going on on your part. Anyhow I will post it again for you.

The fiels are hidden, use the SEARCH box on your PC and type in Route66, the only folder you should make is MAPS in the system\apps\Route66

i've put a rar file containing all the folders needed to help you install your route 66 maps

all you need to do is click and hold the right mouse button on the this file and drag it to your memory card (e.g. E:) then select extract here

it will create a folder called system with in this folder all the folders needed to make your maps work!

then click on system
click apps
click route66
click maps
then copy your maps from your saved location to this folder!

Sign Your Apps v2.0

Allows you to sign you apps by using the Multiple Keys
All you need to do is
1, Click on Sis File Needed to Sign
2, Click on the Certificate File for the Selected Device (i.e 123456121234567.cer)
3, Click the Signing Key (i.e Sultan.key, Bin.key, etc) [it will autotype in the selected Signing Key Password if
Known
4, Click the Sign App Button.
5, After your App is Signed you'll have a File that is called the Same name as before but with .!SIGNED!.SIS on the
end
in the Same folder where the app is

You should already have a cert, I included in the file when I sign your other app. It's made with sultan key password 0123456

I keep getting cannot copy East.prm the parameter is incorrect when I try to put the East map in the maps folder. I've put other maps in successfully, but this is the second East map that I've gotten this problem. I have East-1 in fine.

1. I formatted my micro SD card (on the N95)
2. I attached the N95 to PC by massstorage mode.
3. I copied Route66.Mobile.v7.3.545.cracked.unsigned.sis.!SIGN ED!.sis to the root directory
4. I started system/file manager
5. Klicked on Route66.Mobile.v7.3.545.cracked.unsigned.sis.!SIGN ED!.sis
6. N95 asked 'install Mobile 7?', I pressed 'yes'
7. After some time, some details were shown (e.g. certificate infos), I pressed 'proceed'
8. A security warning poped up ('only for development ...'), I pressed 'continue'
9. N95 asked me where to install. I selected my microSD card.
10. Again some informations were shown ('Mobile 7 ... OPDA presents ... OPDA 2007')). I pressed 'continue'.
11. N95 shows 'Installation in progress' for approximately 2 minutes.
12. N95 shows error message: 'installation not possible'
13. N95 returns to previous screen
14. ... I'm gonna crazy ...
This is the way I succeeded in installing tomtom6 on my N95 and other software ...
Ist there a difference to using pc suite?

BU thanks for posting the TomTom software. I downloaded the TomTom Mobile 6.02 for my N80 (Symbian 3rd Gen). I am just wondering how I install it, it just a bunch of folders without a sis files. I tried to place the files into my MMC but nothing happened.

No you use the cert file to sign your unsign sis file, it will than generate a signed sis file which you install in the N95.

When it restarted should the progs still be there?
Also i removed route 66 and reinstalled to no avail.

1. do i need a specific .cer file created by you for the imei of the phone?
to allow me to sign an application to that phone using the "Sign Your Apps" program . Or does the software that you have posted allow us to create our own .cer files?

It shows "No GPS!" though, but it could be problem of the satellite signal.

Excuse me, i solved it myself! The cer file you provided me with was "double" zipped. I unzipped the file and got a result with no extension. That was the one i worked with. But i had to unzip that one too, then got another file with no extension. This one i renamed to XXXXXX.cer and Voila!

I found it out by downloading a random other cer file from this trhead and opened it with notepad. I noticed so much difference inside that i knew i did something wrong.

It is now up and running!

Excuse me, i solved it myself! The cer file you provided me with was "double" zipped. I unzipped the file and got a result with no extension. That was the one i worked with. But i had to unzip that one too, then got another file with no extension. This one i renamed to XXXXXX.cer and Voila!

I found it out by downloading a random other cer file from this trhead and opened it with notepad. I noticed so much difference inside that i knew i did something wrong.

It is now up and running!

I downloaded the signed file and could installed successfully on my n95.

It shows "No GPS!" though, but it could be problem of the satellite signal.

Make sure slide pad is open, first time usually take the longest to lock on, after that it should be faster. If you have A-GPS it will be faster also.

You don't put the cert on your phone, you just use the cert with Signsis.exe to sign you file before putting the file on your phone.

Hi

When using Route 66 v486 I get a small clip of audio with navigation and then the application crashes every time.

I then installed Route 66 v545 everything works fine but there is no audio at all.

I have performed a hard reset before installing each time and am using v12 firmware on the phone. I have also signed the applications as per this thread. Using Australia maps V1.7 if that helps.

Does anyone have any ideas. Would be much appreciated.

Tom Tom but it work with external GPS receiver only.
www.amazegps.com and www.nav4all.com are both freeware but require a data plan to download maps on the go.

I've tried so hard to get this cer file out of symbian signed. I could manage to upload crs file, but symbian wont give me the cer file in the end.

would please somebody be so kind to make one for me too?

anyway, I figured it out how to reformat, so then I proceeded to create a folder called 'system' in mass memory and got the same damn message "Name 'System' already in use". Whats going on? Am I out of luck to install R66? Anyone else with N95 8gb have that issue?

1, install nokia connectivity drivers from the nokia website
2, plug data cable into Phone < - > PC and select Data Transfer Mode
3, load windows explorer, select tools then folder options
4, click view, on the anvanced setting click the 'show hidden files and folders'
5, now open the storage device (e.g. d: or f:)
6, click on system folder
7, click on apps folder
8, create folder called ROUTE66
9, open route 66 folder and create folder called MAPS
10, copy your route 66 maps into this folder
11, install a signed version of route 66 to the phone
12, all done.......................!

(One working Nokia N95 8GB with Route 66)

It's hidden. like mine was. Use the SEARCH box on your PC, type in ROUTE66.

Did you sign it with sultan key, I made cert with sultan key.

Hook your phone to your PC and chose MASS STORAGE, find system\apps\Route66\maps and put your map there
If no maps folder make one.

NOTE: The folders will probably be hidden so you need to chose "Shw hidden folders".
