i dont know exactly model bcoz it is writen in chinese but at the end of model it is written -99

2 sim card handset

its problem is that after 2 or 3 week, only one sim card is operated at a time and for second card it always showing SEARCHING.......................

i have a cect easycall p810 (version TIGER_1.09tmXXOU6SA75XXC_828), i have the cable that was supplied with it, i can set com port and with MTK4.1 (edited version downloaded from this thread)
it sees the phone, i can use download agent, scatter loading but when i press format i get : error, failed to set bootcommand.

do i need a modified cable, do i need flash bin from p810 ??

I purchased a P168, it has all kind of language support, but no Chinese.... Anyway, my major problem is that whenever ppl try to call in, the phone restart itself and never get the call. I can call out and everything else.... I send the phone back to supplier in HK and they claim the phone works fine. At first they said its my network ( Rogers in Canada ) but there are plenty of P168 user in Canada, even my friend has one with Chinese that works fine. Then he said it may be the firmware. Any idea what could be wrong, he is send me another phone now, and I don't if this will have the same problem.

Hi to all. I'm from Italy and this is my very first post here.
About 1 week ago I got a Cect Q500 from a Chinese seller and it works great (dual sim, 3.0 touch screen etc) but there is a big problem: according to the seller and to what I've found on the net the Cect Q500, or better the Ktech Q500 as written on the box, must have Bluetooth function but in my mobile is absent. I've searched trough all menu and submenu but with no success.
Googling around again I've discovered how to enter in engeneering mode (*#3646633#) and looking at the firmware I noticed that it was a little old (E533_Y1.01.1_26S01) and the manifacturing date was April 2007.
Now this is my question.
Looking into this long post someone discover how to connect chinese mobile with MTK Cpu (mine got 6226) to flash a new firmawre and other purposes in a cheap and easy way. Do you think that updating my firmware to a newer one will I abilitate BT function?

I have been brownsing the forum for a while now, and the only thing I have noticed here is the closed software and lack of sharing community (they say free software when in fact its not free, you need to buy a dongle first).

I am somewhat suprised at this whole non-sharing community now, everything seems to cost if you want to download it or use it... This is a commercial forum not a community forum, a shame really.

well, from what I can see the china phones are really for hobbyists, the majority of them are purchased purely to mess around, no commercial gain or anything, these phones are unlocked by default, and are very limited, but with easy firmware download with the free MTK toolkit and a firmware editor these phones could become a really fun hobbyist phone..

Most of the users dont have more than 1 phone, there is no real need for a purchase of a dongle box and software that will cost more than the phone, and they are not interested in supporting 100 phones to just edit there 1 phone they own.

The majority of these people only need the mtk mt6226 mt6227 mt6228 chipsets supported as there really isnt much more out there atm..

Even if someone just posted the hex map of these chips it would be enough for the current community to write there own open source apps for them, since the majority of the stuff they wanna play with is not encryted in the firmware from what I can see.

There is a huge commercial environment here (for phone shops and the such), but it seems the hobbyists are left out, all they wanna do is mess around with the firmware edit the texts shown on the screen and the images used in the gui.

Its just frustrating to see such a huge community with the hobbyists left out as they cannot justify the purchase of a dongle system and software that costs more than the phone itself.

I have one chinese model with two sim.When One sim is inside phone works ok,and my phone book it's working.But when two sim is inside and when I try to see my phone book I have message initialising and the nothing.I can not see the phone book.I try to switch sim cards inside,but is the same.What problem is that,I think software ,but how can I solve this?

hi all the expert, does anyone know how to backup all field contact information phone book into our computer? The phones are chinese phone with MT6226 and MT6227, I have pc sync software for MTK chipset but that software only can backup name and mobile phone number not ohters field, cannot backup home number, company name, fax number, birthday information, email address,.......
Does anyone has pc sycn for chinese mobile phone based on MTK that can backup all field informations phone book into our computer?
