Ok Peeps, need some help with this one.

I have replaced the screen on A U600, and have a strange problem. When you power up the phone, the keypad, and touchpad work perfectly. As long as the slide is open, the touchpad works as it is supposed to. HOWEVER, if you close the slide, the screen dims, and the touchpad lights go off. When you open the slide again, the screen goes bright, but the touch pad keys don't light up, and don't work.

I read the post here http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=418753&highlight=u600 and re-flashed the phone, and verified the software version etc. need some help with this one.

Any other ideas ?

I had a same problem after flash & used of :*#9998*86824# code ,then touch keys started to work but not very good.You must try 2 or 3 times for pressing the key.I tried this solution on 3 phones with same result.:confused:

hi m8t my point of view not problem L C D , problem is display cable problem try 2 change i hope it will b work.................;)

I think there is problem in cable as mr fone wrote

replace flex cable.should solve your problem

Yes, top keypad/touchpad is the problem.

What is the best way to replace the U600 Keypad flex cable without demolishing the whole front cover ?

You have U600 Ultra edition
You need change flex ,it's not the same Flex U600 normal
Tried in 3 Pieces u600 Ultra
