Hello again,
I have uploaded the latest release of Widcomm 5.1.0.3600 straight from Broadcom. It is a 32bit only release as that's what i have running currently on my computer.
According to Anycom, if has some issues with the stereo sound quality so YMMV. It should however fix the problem with the pairing of the Apple keyboard that the previous 3300 release had.

Enjoy !

Not sure if i'm wrong but all the other postings stated that after 5.1.0.1100 CSR chipset were no longer supported so how are you able to get your logitech bluetooth hub to work and even without a license patch?

sorry but it's not CSR , it's based on BROADCOM 2045 Chip (http://tech.am/wp-content/uploads/2007/03/dsc_1280.jpg)

Can fully confirm this:
With my MSI StarKey 2.0 this version also works fine without any license patches etc. Like a native dongle :)
Very painless! Very cool ! 2045 module ( HP Internal with EDR )

Widcomm bt 5.1.0.3100 works perfectly on both broadcom and csr chipset, support A2DP too. So far is the best version I have tried w/o any problem

Do you have a Logitech BT receiver? I think it's Broadcom, but I have 5.1.0.3600 installed and can't get A2DP to work... :/

Can you tell us how do you patched them to work with CSR dongles?
Nothing new here. Edit the btwusb.inf file clear [ControlFlags] for all restrictions on dongle versions, add %CSR.DeviceDesc% under both [WIDCOMM.NTx86.5.1] and [WIDCOMM] section.
As I know, editing the inf file will only allow to INSTALL the drivers and this is of course what I've done before writing my previous post. This will not ENABLE the driver to work with CSR dongles. After installing I'm obtaining the same "product unlicensed" message and Bluetooth does not start. Or maybe you have an IBM Thinkpad dongle that is specifically recognized by the driver even if it is CSR based.
Nope. My dongle has VID_0A12&PID_0001 and it is external dongle. Except for the inf editing I did point the installation to the folder Widcomm in stead of Thinkpad. Just for sure you must still use Widcomm patch program to licens.dat file, you know ;-))
Mine too. Since I currently use 5.1.0.1100 it seems I know how to edit the inf file and patch the license. Despite all trials, these 5.1.0.3600 drivers are not working with my dongle. The device is not recognized when I click "Start using Bluetooth". I really can't believe you can use them as even Phantasm couldn't find a way to patch drivers after the 5.1.0.1100 version...
My only explanation is that your dongle is special :)
I've this one http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/-/660/867/-/3359187/Nexxus-V2-0-Bluetooth-USB-Dongle-With-Toshiba-Software/Product.html?searchtype=genre&add=3359187#
I was not able to use the CSR chipset based dungle with WIDCOMM 5.1.0.4200. Even I have double checked that I have followed all instructions posted by gsmdb. Still I got the same error message as Gix got.
gsmdb,
Do you mind to post your revised INF for reference?
TIA

5.1.0.1100 is the latest that support csr chipsets, don't follow all dumbasses posts.
It shows Gix has right! On Thinkpad Laptop it works with my CSR dongle. Move the dongle to stationary PC doesn't work. Could install but no register on CSR bluetooth configuration !!!
First of all thanks to everyone who's posted information on this forum.
I hear alot of people having issues with some sort of patching program for Anycom devices. I had some issues as well but I was trying to upgrade drivers in reference to my Motorola PC850 on Vista. I wasn't getting satisfactory results with the drivers included in my PC850/HT820 combo package so thank *** I found this forum. My stereo connection was constantly cutting out with 5.1.0.3***, the version that came with my hardware was 5.1.0.2100 and it would play music but it sounded like an AM radio. Some of the versions in between wouldn't give me any sound at all... So, with that said I was exstatic when I got the 5.1.0.4200 drivers installed and my music worked! (which btw hasn't dropped in the last 45 mins I've been writing this!)
Let me start off with a disclaimer... I am in NO WAY responsible for anything that may happen to you or your computer due to the instructions listed below. You perform the below set of operations at your own risk... With that said lets get to it!
So, here's my work around for the whole anycom patch tool...
Locate the program 7-Zip (other archival programs may work but this is what I'm using...)
After installing 7-zip download anycom's 5.1.0.4200 package... DO NOT OPEN IT BY DOUBLE CLICKING!
Right click on the file
In the context menu that pops up go to the 7-zip menu item and choose "Extract items"... Put it wherever you want, just remember where you put it.
Next open up the device manager in Vista's Control Panel and choose "view by connection" under the "View" menu in Device Manager. This will nicely organize all your bluetooth stuff so you don't have to hunt around for it...
What you're going to end up doing is updating everything under the "Bluetooth Bus Enumerator" section including the drivers for the Bus Enumerator itself.
Right click on "Bus Enumerator" and click on "Update Driver Software"
Click on "Browse my computer for driver software"
Browse your way to the directory where you extracted your anycom package. Just browse to the top level of the extracted package... Windows will search the whole directory structure.
Click Next.
Hopefully you'll see it update.
After the Bus is updated go ahead and restart your computer.
Repeat the steps above for all the remaining devices, there's no need to reboot each time you update a driver but I recommend rebooting after all the drivers are updated.
Note: It's most likely that not every bluetooth device driver is going to be updated but I imagine that's going to depend on your version that's currently installed.
I hope this works for some of you.
Thanks again to this forum for all the information!
