Entering Subsidy Code For Samsung SCH-A795

I have a Samsung SCH-A795 phone, CDMA/GSM modes. I received from Verizon the subsidy code to unlock the phone but the would not instruct me how to enter the code. I searched the internet on Samsung codes but nothing seem to work. The only code that seem to work was the code to check IMEI number, #06#. Anyone knows how to solve my problem is greatly appreciated.

I am thinking about upgrading my Verizon phone and was thinking
about getting a phone with CDMA and GSM. How easy was it
to convince Verizon to give you the code to unlock it?
I travel to a Country that is also has Verizon service but their
pricing is $1.29 for in and out going calls. I usually bring
my GSM phone and buy a SIM card which gives me outgoing calls
at $.22 with incoming free.
