I have a dead k800i with blinking red light.
I opened the kkclient and select erom update and then flash. i pushed 2+5 and connect the cable but nothing happened. same with "c".
when I connected to client I used "kulan" for username and for passwor and it worked ( i read that on a forum). could this be the problem?
what can I do?

U must use COM interface or any USB<>COM(cruiser etc), set COM port in SETTIGNS,speed and accept. Now will work.
RED Blinking phones need to work in ROM mode, thats USB didn't works

Make sure the com port settings are ok in device manager and that kk client is detecting the correct com ports, also just check that use RS232 COMMUNICATIONS check box is ticked.

...hmm.. i dont know how to do that (except the last part). my device manager says com 1 and com2 are working properly, but i dont know where I should plug the cable, because I have more USB slots and , I dont know which belongs to which port. i'm going crazy!!!

U must have COM(rs232) cable/interface or USB<>COM cable or BOX.
If U have connected cable to COM1 then select COM1 in settings. If sw says "Error: Open Port! COMx" then mean that port is used by other application or is any virtual COM port and device is not connected

don't i need a USB to Serial COM adaptor? because The cable that comes with the phone is only USB, so I cant plug it in a COM port... wright?
