Alright,
I know the phone can talk to my computer, as I have got Mobile Phone Tools to sort of work... I'll describe the situation.
I installed Mobile Phone Tools and then tried using it, it went through trying to detect the phone, but failed. So I had it run live update, after that it still failed in detection. So I told it not to bother with running live update, and it let me manually choose what phone I had, so I went through and selected my phone RAZR V3, and after initialization it was able to pull off information from my phone -- so it does talk.
So I decided to give modifying files and skinning a shot... I tried connecting with P2K Commander, and it says the phone is connected as AT, then switches it to P2k, which goes fine. When I try to select the phone the following happens:
USB: IO Time-out!
CMD: Data write fail!
Volume name fail!
This sounds like a driver issue, but I have a hard time believing that with it working on MPT.
