It is solution to crazy keypad. Any keys work, another not, sometimes without touching start to repeat some arbitrary digit.
So that is solution...

I'm afraid that is not solution. From that element (U filter) wires go on directly under the processor :( Sorry!

Exactly the same problem, and did not work for me either....
I think is Processor problem like stanimir_13 said...

UPDATE!!! The keyboard is working by unlocking (!!!!!) with UFS...

If removing J301 not solve your problem itīs because the other ic like J301 is damaged , it is placed in the left ( down) side of the scroll key.
I had the same problem with keys 2,5,8 ,0 and power key ( only powered on and not off) .
The numeric keyboard is connected to the navigation keys by the flex cable thatīs why the problem.
If you want you can just remove it but i advice you to replace for a working one.

UPDATE 2!! Second LG KE970 with same problem but with the first solution (by removing the 6pin circuit)

"roller works fine,an powers on?" just look at "menu, ok, serch, left right " keys if they are not short circuit. soryr for my english. for me forked fine 2 psc.
