Daniel, great job.

Your powerfull card works perfect on the Sony-Ericsson T68i with very fast switching between the providers. I am impressed.

Maybe you still have fun in making some improvements like adding
a menu were you will list all available phonenumbers by there name stored like a dropdown menu instead of just asking for the Position to enter by the keypad.

example:

1) 12112112
2) 32123232
3) 24245334
..
.

It' ll be easier to see what number (or name) you are selecting instead of remembering where you have stored a specific number.

*********
Another suggestion would be to have the phoneselection seperately in the main (root) level like the Simemu menu. In that way you could arrange a shortcut in the phonemenu to a specific number voice-activated :)

*********

Is it maybe possible to have the card automatically switching to a default number? I use to switch to a second or third number just to check for new sms-messages. In case you forget switching back to your default number the card could do that job for you after i.e. 10 minutes or so.

:)

Hey, these are only ideas. Keeping Simemu the way it is right NOW makes me also happy.

The first suggestion is already scheduled for the next release.

The second, I think is not possible, but I'll investigate.

The third, is very complicated, but I write it in my notes of suggestions.

Dear Simemu (Daniel),

thanks for reading my suggestions.

Your Software is already perfect! I think all of us "SIMEMU users" agree with this opinion. You don' t need to take my proposals very serious. Just in case you feel the need for a new release. I am happy everytime I see the "Network Provider" changing on my screen :)

Best regards

@simemu:

Just a question... can I program SimEmu in a green card without any changes?

I know it'll not use the extra eeprom space, but it'll still work, right?

Yes, the GreenCard is full compatible with SilverCard and of course with SIM-EMU, only the extra spaces is not used.

The Green card is 16F628 + 24lc128, right? I don't recall exactly the specs of the 628...

The SilverII + 24lc256 I understand the space won't be used....

Hope the eeprom addressing is the same, besides beeing 4 times the address space...

The GreenCard that I know, comes with the 16F877 and 24LC128, and SilverII comes with 24LC256, both of them use the same addressing technique that the 24LC64.

I see... I thought the same and I was going to order a couple of them but when I saw their specs (www.dataflow.pt (http://www.dataflow.pt/)) there was 16F628...

Maybe it's mistakenly called "green"...

I'm better off with silver-2 for sure :)

I suggested almost the same things in a personal e-mail you didn't reply-to... maybe you haven't even read it...

However here are my hints/suggestions:

1) If possible from S.A.T. (Sim application toolkit) add SMS Spoofing feature.

2) Sel. Phone # *should* display a LIST of all configured numbers to choose from.... not just to enter the position(awful).

3) Same for Edit #.... It lets you edit only the actual number.. it *should* let you edit any other position.

4) Nokia phones have the feature to use 2 lines on the same SIM... to switch you just need to hold "#" (if enabled) it would be nice to have it implemented (if possible).

5) If possible, an option like "Copy Phone Memory to SIM" would be really apreciated. (And the opposite... "Copy Sim Memory TO Phone".

6) As I already said, I would like the ICC ID could be configurable... what if someone puts your fake spanish ICC ID in a blacklist ? I wish to put my card ICC ID....(safer)

Thanks for listening...

I'd received yesterday your email !!!
I think is better to put the suggestions in the forums.

1) I don't know what is spoofing ...

2) I'd answered at the top of this topic

3) It takes more memory innecessarily for one time set up.

4) I'll investigate it

5) This is not possible. There are no SATK command to do this.

6) I think this is not necessary, but you can modify it before write the external EEPROM. The position of the ICC ID is 0x268.
Also, you can modify it with WinExplorer or Cardinal introducing the following commands:

Example for WinExplorer

A0 A4 00 00 02 r01 3F 00 r02
A0 A4 00 00 02 r01 2F E2 r02
A0 D6 00 00 0A r01 aa bb cc dd ee ff gg hh ii jj r02

where aa bb cc dd ee ff gg hh ii jj is the new ICC ID.

Spoofing means the ability to send an SMS using arbitrary number... it can be done usually manually connecting to an SMSC with a terminal program.. I wonder if it's possible from SATK...

Have you read my other post ?

I modified the EEPROM so now Sim Emu works as a motorola TEST CARD too... that's nice...

What about the motorola CLONE CARD ? Could you implement it ?

That would be really COOL.

Zibri.
