I get "PRIVILEGED INSTRUCTION" error every time I start ICPROG. Does anybody have any idea why?

I am using it together with SIM MASTER reader

thank you all

That's probably because you're trying to run it on Windows 2000 or XP and it's trying to access the parallel port...

Don't know if it does that because it's default config is to use a parallel PIC programmer or something like that...

Can't the program proceed after that "error"? If it can, change the config... If it can't, mail me and I'll send you a config file for the serial port that may solve your problem.

Isn't the SIM Master just a Phoenix interface? The only thing you'll be able to do with it is program the external eeprom using phoenix mode, never the PIC...

I don't know if SIM MASTER is a phoenix interface, I got it from u-cables and I've managed to extract the IMSI and KI.

I'll try to run icprog under win9x, thanx alf.

PS Anyway, what interface would you recommend, that will work best with the present cloning software available?

thanx again

Your phoenix interface will be enough to extract IMSI/KI and program the external eeprom...

In order to program the PIC in the card you need a ludipipo/picprog interface... or any other supported by ICProg.

Schematics for a JDM programmer can be easily found on the net and they're very very simple (5 components or so)... then you only need a SIM slot and a diagram to connect it to the programmer...If you wish I can help with this..
