simcard8 from ucables.com is programmed by sim emu emulator , but can anybody tell version 3 or 4 .
also what do u say about this programm :

i know that it is dejans sim scan ported to windows . pls report your results using this soft .

To identify the version of the SIMCARD8, you must put it in a phone with support of SATK. If the SimEmu 4.01 menu does not appears, then the version is 3.00.
I think that the SIMME program is intended to use with the SIM-MASTER only.

I think the SIM-Master device is just a plain phoenix interface...
The software probably runs an older version of sim-scan (at least ucables page page has v1.21 yet)... and is prepared to access a pre-programmed SIMCARD8 (your's well known...)
No, the SIM-MASTER does not have a Phoenix interface.
The programs provided with the SIM-MASTER, does not run in a Phoenix.
But the programs made for the phoenix interface will work on a SIM-Master, right?
I am not sure, but I think that not.
I'll try to contact with UCABLES to say me if, for example Cardinal, works with SIM-MASTER.
This program seems to work with SIM Master only.
Also the "Write Ki to SIM" doesn't work with
gold/silver Cards or SIMCARD8
But SIM Master can work with SIM SCAN and Cardinal..

I have tested and made some research with SIM MASTER interfaces and SIM BACKUP software.
What I have found so far:
- the interfaces bundeled with SIM MASTER, SIM R/W 2x and SIM MAGIC3 (the new one) seems to be the same, the only difference if the quartz frequency,
- SIM MASTER and SIM MAGIC3 are running at the speed of 9600 bps (3.57 MHz),
- SIM R/W 2x is running at the speed of 19200 bps (7.14 MHz)
- software releases of the SIM BACKUP are the following
*SIM BACKUP 1.0 (windows interface shell to make connections and speed detection, using Dejan original SIMSCAN 1.21, working with all three interfaces
*SIM BACKUP 1.1 (windows interface and functions of Dejan SIMSCAN 1.21 ported to Windows), working with all three interfaces
* SIM BACKUP 1.2 (same as SIM BACKUP 1.1)
* SIM BACKUP 2.10 (improved SIM BACKUP 1.2, added LOAD and SAVE functions and PIN handling, the *.dat file data is extended with SMSC number and some other information is added in the file (I haven't had the time to investigate further), the software is originaly bundeled with SIM MAGIC3), it is not working with SIM R/W 2x (it seems it is supporting only speed 9600 bps (3.57 MHz) speed
* SIM BACKUP 2.11 (same functions as SIM BACKUP 2.10), it is not working with SIM MASTER and SIM MAGIC3 (it seems it is supporting only speed 19200 bps (7.14 MHz)
* SIMSCAN V1.21 is working on all interfaces, only the speed should be set up
* SIMSCAN V1.33 is working on all interfaces, only the speed should be set up
* WinPhoenix is working with SIM MASTER and SIM MAGIC3 interface but it is not working with SIM R/W 2x (because of the speed of the interface)
I haven't got the time to test the interfaces with WInExplorer but they should work fine as Winexplorer hase the capability to setup the speed and everything.

The device you are asking is SIM MASTER and it is running at the speed of 9600 bps (3.57 MHz), it is also working with Winphoenix and IC PROG (SMART CARD).
I will send you the link for the programs in a few days.

The "write to SIM " seems to support a special
4-in-1 SIM Card or 8-in-1 SIM Card only..

PLS can someone give me a link for SIM-BACKUP (ucables.com has a download 4 members only) latest version preferred and/or simmebackup. the .ru link in this thread ois DEAD !
BTW: Dejan has a improved version of simscan rev .133
makes problems generating part2.bin, but U can use a 1.21 generatet. @ some systems (e.g. Athlon) SimScan runs only in SAFE MODE !
I plan to buy a ucables simin8 card, but want to try the SIM-BACKUP soft first - no idea where to download ?
