You must use first imei converter.exe (put in your imei and u will get a garmin ID
Then put the generated number in garmin keygen.exe and it will give u the unlock code for the gps part (the SW.unl file)

Then u must generate a serial to unlock maps in same keygen (for that u must now the card id of the map u wont (eks. my area/country is 189) -there is a thread here somewhere with all map id's.
Then u get the second code, the map unlock code - paste it in the file GMAPSUPP.unl

When garmin starts up, it checks first the sw.unl file, if ok it finds the internal gps, then it checks GMAPSUPP.unl and if ok it loads your maps

Search here and find 2 files > IMEI converter.exe and garmin_kgen.exe

Once you install it by connecting your mobile to computer as mass storage device, you run Garmin and in system then about ... you will find the card ID

i've got a trail (full)version of garmin mobile xt valid for 30 days, are treir any way of extending it.

Not familiar with this version - second reference to it. A previous version from Taiwan, V4.10.60, had a 2 week trial stamped all over it. However, once you calculate a new sw.unl and replace the existing sw.unl with it, it performed fine without any problems.

I assume same would apply with your current one.

Backup your existing sw.unl first though.

Your next map need to be GMAPSUP2.IMG with GMAPSUP2.UNL

Yes as long as the have different names off course. I have two files in my POI folder

I used the inbuilt Garmin Online to download speed camera POI and it works perfectly. Try that.

Yes you can connect through wifi which will cost nothing because you already pay for your internet through your ISP. Anyway the download is not that big. For the UK (me) it was 0.53MB. I would delete the existing speed camera poi first though in case of conflicts.

Garmin 4.10.xx will run on Palm, WM, and Symbian OS.

As for Route 66, the version 7.3 will run on both N73 and N95.

Route 66 Version 8 remains uncracked. That is the version that is supplied with the later models Nokia as Navigator

Without a great forum like this and the patience of all those in the know it would have taken a lot longer for most of us to get it going, if at all.

PROSIM o RADU ci POMOC...
Vlastnim mobilni telefon Nokia 6110 Navigator do ktereho jsem kompletne a samozrejme uspesne naistalovat aplikaci Garmin Mobile XT v4.10.60s60.9 kde se tedy v zakladu nachazi BASEMAPa. Potom jsem aplikovat instalaci MAPSOURCE v6.13.6 v PC kam jsem nainstaloval MAPu:City Navigator Europe NT 2008 a us=pesne ji odemknul pro PC/MApSouce aplikaci. Dale jsme si vybral cca 4staty a vytvoril "set MAP", ktere jsme uspesne nahral do telefonu, vse patricne odblokoval a zprovoznil vse OK na 100% funguje/fungovalo. Nicmene jsem chtel nahrat naprosto STEJNOU mapu,ale idelane temer celou krome tusim Polska a Bulharska, kdy datove celkovy SET map ma velikost cca 1,1GB. Opet jsme opakoval kroky potrebne k uspesnemu nahrani do mobilu avse hlasilo OK. Nicmene v GarminMobileXT tedy v navigaci v mobilu N6110 Navigator aplikaci mapu vidim je i tak "velika" nicmene pokud zazoomuju na detaily tak je vse videt (tedy je aktivni a zobrazuje se OK), ovsem ted nastava zasadni PROBLEM a to ten, ze kdyz chci zadat hlednai mista, nebo zadat domaci adresu nebo prostecokliv NAJIT, takm e tohodi hlasku: Pro tuto funkci je potreba PODROBNA MAPA a vice informaci na webu garmina. Jenze ta MAPA je odemcena, funkcni a podrobna!!! Takze kde je problem??? Pomuzete nekdo?

Moje poznatky/zavery:
Mam microSD kartu o kapacite 2GB (tedy dostatecnemista)!
Nicmene karta je bezne v telefonech formatu souboroveho systemu FAT a co ja vim tak z PC souborovy system FAT neumi pracovat/zpracovat soubory jako jednotlive o vetsi kapacine nez 999,99 MB (tedy vetsi nez 1GB), ale jakto, ze zde vsichni uvadite, ze uplne idaalni je nacpat tam Celou Evropu (tedy cca 1,3GB) a je to bez problemu...kdyz by to podle meho "zaveru" nemelo fungovat!
Nicmene z naprosto totozne mapy cele Evropy udelany segment o vleikosti cca 400MB a cca 600MB funguje zda se bez problemu...

Opravdu pozorne ctu vsechno ve foru, ale tohle tam proste neni...

No a dalsi otazky co stale nevidim jako zodpovezene (tedy pro mobilni telefony N6110 Navigator) jsou:
Jak nahrat z MAPSOURCE vlastni body, trasy a jine veci do GMXT? Ikdyz je to zaskrtnute tak to v GMXT porste nikde neni?
Kde se v GMXT v mobilu nachazeji v GMXT vytvorena vlastni mista a trasy?

Dekuji predem VSEM za pomoc a pripadne i resenia odpovedi.

Iam owning Nokia 6110 NAvigator with corectly and working installed Garmin Mobile XT v4.10.60s60.9 and MAPSOURCE v6.13.6 in PC computer. Tahn I have correctly and working MAP:City Navigator Europe NT 2008. 100% working in PC but problem is in DEVICE. If I put over MapSource i.g. 4pcs of countrys in Mapselection and than transfer it to my NOKIA it is working on 100% but I want to have there ALL Europe (its about 1.3GB) but THIS DOESNT WORK... It is showing in MAPs in GMXT in Mobile, it is unlocked and "wotking" because in big zoom/detail I seeing all detailis but IT CANT NAVIGATE IT CAN FOUND/SEARCH ANY ADRESS, I cant set my HOME NOTHING is searched and so...And yes satellites ar ON and all i working... So where is the PROBLEM???

My endings are:
Iam using 2GB microSD card but mobiles correctli format that card od file partition map called FAT (mean FAT16) but this kind of filesystem in PC i.g. doesnt support files large than 999,99MB (so nothing bigger than 1GB)... But all people here typing that ALL is WORKING WELL but I cant get it to WORK...

Please can u ANYBODY help me out with that???

I copied the uk speed camera poi's to the phone and they work great. Unfortunately they indicate the speed cameras at 19mph etc. All the settings on my phone are set to mph etc, but do i need to actually load poi's in mph onto the phone.

If this is the case could you please upload the Uk speed camera poi's in mph or let me know where you get them from and i will use the Garmin uploader prog myself to do this.

Először Road2006 iso változatot kell telepíteni. Telepítésnél CUSTOM -> csak ROAD2006 legyen telepítve.

I have tried both and in my opinion Garmin XT is much better. Certainly it is far more user friendly. It is also easier to set up as it doesn't need to be signed. Try it and see.

Unless someone can post them just have a look starting at page one for the correct maps etc

You can install Route66 or GarminXT on your N95. You need an application cracked for Route66 using Certificate file. Garmin XT needs to be unlocked using Card ID ... you have to follow this thread from begining to understand... Also you need to download maps... Start the search and ask questions... will try to answer...

It seems like to work but the program cant find my GPS. Also my Europe Map is not oke. Ill have only Garmin MapSource City Navigator Europe NT v9.MDF and the MDS file. How can I fin a better one.

For Route66 you need a .cer file and application cracked. for Garmin you need unlock code and unlock maps...

you need to factory reset your phone memory

then install garmin xt

copy maps into garmin folder

create the unlock codes from the top line of the about screen (i.e if you see imei, card id use the first line which is imei, Works everytime for me)

Try installing with 4.10.20 or 4.10.40 first. Several varieties of 4.10.60 out there, and some will not work with non Asian language phones. Make sure that Garmin is working, then do an update with 4.10.60

It seems like to work but the program cant find my GPS.

Make sure you have a valid sw.unl file. If it is valid, then get a fix of GPSr with say Navigator, exit Navigator, then start Garmin. This will allow you to ensure that you have a functioning GPSr signal before configuring Garmin. This needs only be done once.

Quickest way would be to purchase the Garmin XT on a chip from Garmin. It is then just a matter of plug into your phone and off you go!

download all the advanced files extract them and you will end up with a bunch of gpi files. Just place all those .gpi files into you Devices POI folder and your set with all australian speed cameras,red light cameras and school zones.

Before configuring Garmin with the internal GPSr on the N95, it is best to ensure that it is getting a valid signal. The N95 has several program that comes with it (from memory - Nokia Maps or Navigator) that can check the GPSr signal. Essentially, this is just to ensure that you have a valid GPS signal on your built in receiver before you try configuring Garmin.

Can someone help with installing the "Garmin City Navigator Australia NT 2008" map.
I have used 272 as the map id and no such luck so far.
The version i am using is 4.10.60s60.9
I have tried THe garmin unlock gen version 1.3 custom mapset where i enetered 272, yet the unlock code generated and placed in the GMAPSUP file does not seem to work.
All other parts Nav software seems to work fine, including seeing the external Gps and POI's.

Can anyone help please :) Greatly appreciated.

just use a hex editor and find the first three digits on the map header so if it says 971 then reverse it to 179 and there is your map id :D

I have same problem on Palm version Works great on treo 650 including online updates but on 755 it just stopped for some reason. (was working ok )

I tried new unlock codes and even a full clean install still no online updates
I pop the card into a another treo install it and all runs fine????

It gets better i just installed version 4.10.10p on my treo and got weather to update traffic says detail maps dont support traffics ( i only have base map on card durring this test ) now i reinstalled 4.10.30p and still get weather but still get message detail maps dont support traffic???? why cant it be no weather and traffic working thats what i really want.

You need a correct sw.unl file to unlock the program to use non Garmin GPSr. Best get a GPS lock with the built in GPS program (Nokia Navigator or whatever the N95 comes with) first before trying to configure Garmin to use internal GPSr

I got it all working again seems i needed to regenerate / create the unlock key
and basically start from scratch allthough i swear i tried doing it all from scratch but maybe i reused the unlock key. very weird though

I'm fairly sure there's now way round this for me, but any help would be appreciated. I have installed garminXT for N95 (although I have the 8gb version... does this matter?) and I have installed it through the .sis file on the phone. This all works.

I have then gone into the programme, gone into "about" and then taken my Card ID number. I have then e-mailed the keygen programme to a windows computer and generated the code (using the Card ID number) to allow it to work with my N95.

I have taken the code, saved it as SW.UNL (not .txt!) and copied it into the same folder as the rest of the Garmin files.

I have then restarted my phone. Got the GPS signal with Nokia maps (have tried not having the signal as well!), reopened Garmin and it will still not detect the Internal GPS! Message "Could not Authenticate Garmin GPS Hardware"

So I'm lost, I know I have a signal and yet I cannot get it to work despite following all posts to the letter of the law! Can anyone help and, if you can, does anyone know where I can get a UK map that will work with this? I have not read posts 34-60... so don't have a go at me if the answer is there!

Have you changed the settings to remote GPS. Once you have done all you have said you still need to tell the program to use your internal GPS.

Settings > System > no 1

The only thing that stops it from being perfect is that when I go to "where to" and click on "address" it says detailed maps are needed. I thought I had one on there? Is this something I have to download specific to the UK? Earlier it asked for a 25 digit map unlock code... no idea where that would come from. Is that something to do with the programme you ran for me earlier?

1, you make a csr files from the software provided on the www.symbiansigned.com (http://www.symbiansigned.com)

2, upload the csr to symbiansigned and then they will convert it into a certificate for you to download

3, copy the certificate in to the sign your apps folder

4, click on the app, certificate and signing key

5, press sign

6, all done

Hi BU, thanks for all the post info I now have Garmin XT working on my N95 - great. The main reason I though of using it was because I could get Traffic info without any additional cost (except the network cost). However, so far I don;t seem to get any traffic info downloaded to the route. After planning a journey (wher to>addresse>Go) I get the message downloading traffic info requires access to Garmin online server. Should this be allowed I select YES. BUT this doesn't seem to either show conjestion (as I would expect as I have seen on a TomTOm) or reroute due to traffic. Can you suggest some settings I could check? Do I need to register on Garmin online server? Or something else?

The main reason I though of using it was because I could get Traffic info without any additional cost (except the network cost). However, so far I don;t seem to get any traffic info downloaded to the route. After planning a journey (wher to>addresse>Go) I get the message downloading traffic info requires access to Garmin online server. Should this be allowed I select YES. BUT this doesn't seem to either show conjestion (as I would expect as I have seen on a TomTOm) or reroute due to traffic. Can you suggest some settings I could check? Do I need to register on Garmin online server? Or something else?
ANy help would be appreciated.

It is 'unfortunate' that most progs are written for the PC. Perhaps an emulation program just to run the few programs you need. Afterall, you'll need to run the keygen with each new map relaesed, or different map used. Similarly, when you change the MMC card etc.

was just i had the same problem when i was using aol software bacause aol uses it's own ip address and rapidshare used to think it was already downloading :mad:

Double check the sw.unl file or create a new one and try again

Unrar from part 1 then when it prompts for next part. Point it to part 2 and then everything should be extracted. Do not attempt to point it part by part otherwise it will fail with CRC.

Hey guys, first post for me!

I noticed a few other people were having problems with unlocking the CN Australian 2008 map that was linked earlier on in this thread - I couldn't get it working either.

The map I downloaded from here was approx 105 MB, and had ID of 272. I tried and retried generating the unlock key as per instructions posted here but could not unlock it.

I went on the hunt and grabbed the full Garmin MapSource City Navigator Australia 2008, loaded up on PC, then sent all maps included in Aus to my phone (obviously after installing XT and unlocking internal GPS device as per instructions posted here). The map ID of the file created on my phone is actually 271 (and file size ended up about 150MB), which I was able to successfully generate an unlock key, and finally get it all up and running!

SO... in short, if you are having probs unlocking the Australia 2008 maps, do a torrent search for the full MapSource City Navigator Australia 2008!

It sounds like you must have set your map details to most, try setting it to normal or less. hope this help!

All instructions and directions are at the start of this thread - first few pages- the rest are helping people to install it or troubleshooting.

As for files, they do get deleted quite frequently, and you will need to search a bit for them.

Garmin XT mobile will work with N73. You'll just need a bluetooth GPS receiver as the N73 does not have one built in.

No need to rename, maximally switch inside program.

Also, when you have Mapsource version of maps, you can put them together in one GMAPSUPP.IMG file. But you need input all unlock codes in one file GMAPSUPP.UNL. Put them here without spaces, in one row.

Mapsource also give you possibility to extract only your favorite regions...

Hi all,

I have the garmin xt installed on my Nokia N82 and it's been working perfectly with City Navigator Europe (the map of 1.4G) until I installed a second map following exactly advices in this forum.

Romania map - gmapsupp.img with gmapsupp.unl
City Navigator - gmapsup2.img with gmapsup2.unl

The device sees both maps but unfortunately gets the info only from City Navigator Europe...I even went to "manage my data -> map sets" where I can see both maps checked.

Anyone have an idea about what's wrong?

I am having problems on booth phones attaching the bluetooth GPS,, it searches and finds nothing..
On 6110 works fine with internal GPS.

Garmin XT Help

Let's start from scratch.
1) Install the program - can copy it to the SD card directly into a folder named Garmin.
2) Download and run the support files for voice etc.
3) Start the program.
4) Cancel out of the GPS search. It will not see the BT or internal GPS at this stage.
5) Get you Unit ID (IMEI and calculate) and also your Card ID from Settings>About
6) Calculate the key and create your sw.unl file
7) Copy that to the garmin folder.
8) Check that your GPS receiver is working - with BT, ensure that you can get your location with navigator etc. Similarly, internal GPS.
9) Start your program. The GPS options will be available for non Garmin receivers.
10) Install your basemap and area map.
11) Calculate your map unlock with KeyGen. Use the Map Id if need to.
12) Create your GMAPSUPP.UNL and copy it to the garmin folder on your SD card.
13) If you get to the no maps found, then either the map is faulty, or the the entered is incorrect. Try an unlocked map (delete the GMapsupp.unl file).

For those m8s using Vista ops you will face a problem in creating the sw.unl file :eek:as it took us hours me and my new buddy on this forum ( ataralgin ):cool: for which I thank him for his time and effort in resolving the problem..the thing is when you creat the sw.unl file, Garmin XT will never locate your built in GPS for the Nokia N95 8GB, as the created file is 51 bytes and it should be 25 bytes :D ..so the best thing is to creat the file using Win XP as Vista note pad differes ...dont know why :rolleyes:

So if you face such prob...XP is the solution for the sw.unl file ..and make sure to remove the TXT extension from within the phone using file manager.

Hope this info would help Vista users and will not suffer as I did :D

using vista and creating un.swl is not a problem

1, create a txt file by right mouse clicking and selecting new, text document
2, call it sw.unl
3, click on it and open it with notepad
4, enter your unlock code
5, click save as, select ansi from the combo box, then press save :D
