Came across this on another forum. Finally, Garmin XT that works with any bluetooth and internal GPSr.
Crack and instructions in the folder.
Credit to Jetmouse who provided the keygen.

gps works with n95!.... dling maps now to test with.

Like posted on Garmin's website, this is an updated version, no maps no voice unless you have a previous version installed. I got everything working on my N95 with the exception of "No Maps".

Yeah this is junk, about to delete it off my phone. I have Route66 working good, waiting for TT to work with internal GPS.:D

Look at my past edited post , I added one more link there ( support files , voices ,....). Just download and install on memorycard.
Garmin has so many different map types, what i have to use for XT ??? Looking USA maps.

The Files are 30 MB and 13 MB small. A map of USA for exaple is ~1,5 GB gib.

N95-1, did you do these steps according to instrucitons?
Copy (CTRL+C) the Device unlock key to clipboard.
6. Now open the Notepad and paste (CTRL+V) the key and save the file as SW.UNL
7. Copy (CTRL+C) the Map unlock key to clipboard.
8. Open the Notepad again and paste (CTRL+V) the key and save the file as GMAPSUPP.UNL

You don't need GPRS for the navigation. You do need it if you want to get traffics or search for stuffs.

* Accept security warning.

If i have understood it you should insert the generated key for the map in GMAPSUPP.UNL and store that one in the Garmin folder.
(Get the key from the keygenerator)
Please share a link to the maps if possible =)

ok i learned how to unlock just a single map but for example if i make a map with north america and for example spain how am i going to find the map code for that?

installed Garmin on my N95 and when i start it and its looks for GPS and states non found and also it states no maps found either i used the crack and made the the two files Sw.unl and gmappsupp.unl so why cant i activate the maps and also where are they stored in what specific folder are they stored?

instructions

3. if you installed it over an old version you unlock couldn't won't work so you need to generate it again because this version will change the card ID... also generate a new key for MAP....
when you start the application just press left or right to get English and you are done...

It DOES NOT come with maps, you will need to find maps and load it to phone.
If anyone have problems navigating (route calculating) on the "Garmin Metroguide" European or Northamerican
then try metrogold mapsource.EXE it will make the exported maps routeble =)

OK need some help here. Download City Navigator North America 2008. Here's what inside, I'm trying to get NA maps. What do I do with these files?
Install it on your computer and then then connect your phone in data transfer mode and select the parts of the map you want
in mapsource and "send to unit" ("Skicka till enhet" in swedish) .
You also need the right key for the program to be able to select the parts
you want if the key is wrong you can't use select maps or really maps sections and when you export them they might not run or if they run they
might not be routeble. You have NA so it might be differnt but on the European edition i only got the "Metro" version running ok and routable after using metrogold on the downloaded metro version.
After you have transefered it you can make a copy of that map (img file) becouse the selected files will become one =)

Yes when it get dark the map change, you can disable that feature.

I've got it working on my N95, awesome!! I took it out for a test drive and I'm very satisfied. Coverage, routing, re-routing, voice instructions, speedcam-alerts......no complaints so far!! All And it may not look as smooth as TomTom, but I definitely prefer Garmin over TomTom. Not only because it runs on the internal GPS, but also the map compression is way better with Garmin.
But does anyone know what the is difference between City Navigator Europe v9 NT and Metroguide Europe v9? Is one better than the other? Are they both based on the same Navteq version?

The difference between City Navigator and City Navigator NT: they only used a different method for compression, the maps are identical.
But what's the difference between Metroguide Europe v9 and City Navigator Europe V9? Is one better than the other?

OK, how to get the maps working then. I have got the City Navigator Europe NT v9 maps but i'm unable to get them to work. I have used the keygen to create the codes and put the two files with those unlock codes from the keygen but still no go (internal gps works fine and the test map also from Garmin). The maps are as many .img files on my hard drive and I have copied all of them to my memcard/Garmin directory byt still they won't work. What am I doing wrong???

How to get the maps work properly. Software works ok, internal gps fine. I've got the Europe NT v9 maps (many many .img files on my hard disk, uploaded to memcard/Garmin) but how to make them work? I have created the unlock codes and put them to those two files in memcar/Garmin directory. No go, what's the problem? The test map from Garmin works fine.

Garmin Mobile XT Keygen v1.1
This keygen will generate unlock code both for device and locked maps that can be used with GMXT.
Instructions:
-------------
1. Download and install Garmin Mobile XT.
Link for the installer: http://rapidshare.com/files/69988168/GarminMobileXTforWindowsMobile_41040w.exe.html
NOTE: This installer does not contain voice and help files.
2. Launch GMXT, got to Settings -> About.
3. Make note of your "Card ID"
4. Launch the keygen, and enter the "Card ID" you see on GMXT About page.
5. Select Map product and hit the corresponding Generate button to generate both Device & Map unlock key.
NOTE: If your map is not included in the Map product list, select <custom mapset>, enter the corresponding MAPID and hit OK.
5. Copy (CTRL+C) the Device unlock key to clipboard.
6. Now open the Notepad and paste (CTRL+V) the key and save the file as SW.UNL
7. Copy (CTRL+C) the Map unlock key to clipboard.
8. Open the Notepad again and paste (CTRL+V) the key and save the file as GMAPSUPP.UNL
9. Put your newly created files to your SD Card\Garmin directory and insert card
10. go to file manger on phone and delite the .txt of both of the files you created so the say sw.unl not sw.unl.txt
11.restart Program should now recognize your built-in GPS (if not use GpsGate set to generic NMEA GPS receiver) and you should be
able to use detailed maps.
NOTE: This keygen is not yet compatible with Garmin MapSource application. To see maps in the MapSource, use the key provided
with the map.

DOES THIS VERSIN(Garmin MobileXTv40.1040) SUPPORT BUILT IN GPS WITH N95?
i cant make it work with internal GPS:-( when i start GMXT i looks for bluetooth GPS
when i go to Settings/System/Remote GPS: Connection allowed toGarmin GPS device only.
Can enyone help please

Garmin Mobile XT Keygen v1.1
This keygen will generate unlock code both for device and locked maps that can be used with GMXT.
Instructions:
-------------
1. Download and install Garmin Mobile XT.
Link for the installer: http://rapidshare.com/files/69988168/GarminMobileXTforWindowsMobile_41040w.exe.html
NOTE: This installer does not contain voice and help files.
2. Launch GMXT, got to Settings -> About.
3. Make note of your "Card ID"
4. Launch the keygen, and enter the "Card ID" you see on GMXT About page.
5. Select Map product and hit the corresponding Generate button to generate both Device & Map unlock key.
NOTE: If your map is not included in the Map product list, select <custom mapset>, enter the corresponding MAPID and hit OK.
5. Copy (CTRL+C) the Device unlock key to clipboard.
6. Now open the Notepad and paste (CTRL+V) the key and save the file as SW.UNL
7. Copy (CTRL+C) the Map unlock key to clipboard.
8. Open the Notepad again and paste (CTRL+V) the key and save the file as GMAPSUPP.UNL
9. Put your newly created files to your SD Card\Garmin directory and insert card
10. go to file manger on phone and delite the .txt of both of the files you created so the say sw.unl not sw.unl.txt
11.restart Program should now recognize your built-in GPS (if not use GpsGate set to generic NMEA GPS receiver) and you should be
able to use detailed maps.
NOTE: This keygen is not yet compatible with Garmin MapSource application. To see maps in the MapSource, use the key provided
with the map.

I think I'm gonna give up on this. Everything work except I don't have detail maps of North America. Download the Map installer but cant' get past the unlocking of it.
I try the code that the Keygen gave me, no go. Most keygen give the same code for the IMEI or Card ID. This keygen give me a different code everytime I use it, which code to use?:(

OK thansk for the infos. I use the Card ID number like the instructions say. Use key gen and it gave me a code, it must be right ID cause it reconized the GPS receiver and everything work except for the fact I can't get detail maps.

Did you use the unlock ESN:# in the key gen?
Put that in the key gen and get your code which is save as SW.UNL and GMAPSUPP.UNL

Hi. Yes I have saved them properly. I'm thinking the map that I have (which was posted earlier in this thread) is a dudd. I just cannot understand why else it would be showing a black screen and 'no map' message.
Think its a lost cause......ashame as the interface looks to kick route 66's botty.

it's still not working :(

i'm positive that i have the city navigator nt north america 2008 maps.
i looked in the image with ultra edit to confirm.

If you are getting the no maps, it means:
1) Faulty map
or 2) No basemap (gmapbmap.img).
Best search for a world basemap. That way, maps from anywhere will be available. Version 3.01 from 2004 is still good.

The keygen only works with official Garmin maps. Custom maps, if locked, uses a different algorithm. Might need to try Malsingmaps and contribute to their forum for the unlock code.

Let's start from scratch.
1) Install the program - can copy it to the SD card directly into a folder named Garmin.
2) Download and run the support files for voice etc.

3) Start the program.
4) Cancel out of the GPS search. It will not see the BT or internal GPS at this stage.
5) Get you Unit ID (IMEI and calculate) and also your Card ID from Settings>About
6) Calculate the key and create your sw.unl file
7) Copy that to the garmin folder.
8) Check that your GPS receiver is working - with BT, ensure that you can get your location with navigator etc. Similarly, internal GPS.
9) Start your program. The GPS options will be available for non Garmin receivers.
10) Install your basemap and area map.
11) Calculate your map unlock with KeyGen. Use the Map Id if need to.
12) Create your GMAPSUPP.UNL and copy it to the garmin folder on your SD card.
13) If you get to the no maps found, then either the map is faulty, or the the entered is incorrect. Try an unlocked map (delete the GMapsupp.unl file).
i finally got mine to work :D i downloaded garmin city navigator north america NT 2008 and unlocked the maps on pc then i was able to transfered maps to my phone (N95-3). I followed all the instructions posted here, at first whenever i try to view map i would get an arrow and black screen but then i press the "Where to?" option then search for an addresses, when i found the address i was looking for, i hit "Go!" it calculated the route and took me to the map i really don't know how it happen but it became visible and not black anymore:confused: anyways i'm just happy it works.

Yeah DON'T USE "City Navigator North America 2008" posted earlier in the thread. That file is corrupt and will not work anyway. Use the NA NT2008, smaller file to download and work great.

For sure Garmin Mobile XT is a much better app than Route66 (nothing wrong with Route66).
Last night I tried out Garmin, it actually routed me with backways and even cut through a parking lot to get me around traffics.:D

Hi all, after much effort I managed to download everything I need, but the only map I could find for South africa was city navigator v6, which is not in that list of MapId's, any ideas on where I can find the Id would be most appreciated.

thanx to many posts here, have got gxt up and running fine on n95 with uk and ireland maps only, just thought i'd add a couple of points from reading various questions,
1, when renaming unlock files sw.unl for example be sure that that your hide file extensions for known file types box is unticked in your folder options otherwise the files still stay as .txt files.
2, when selecting map product in keygen proggy, i just selected city navigator europe nt v9 for a uk/ireland only map i downloaded a couple of posts back 130mb in size, rather than trying to find custom map id's and it worked. dont know if this is the same for other countries but it worth a try by just selecting the map product relating to the country you want the maps for in the keygen.
3, free basemap from garmin website is required to make the uk/ireland map work otherwise just comes up no maps.
hope this is of some use to anyone, but have only tried it with uk maps as they are all i need.

I've been using all day to get this pubby to work, and im not quite there yet (need the proper maps to get key-gen serial working) :eek:
BUT, i had the prb. with NO gps found!
Found out that turning bluetooth on, gave me a second option in settings!
And it has to be a extern gps u choose, then close program and start NOKIA maps, and let it have a fix, to sattelites! Dont close it, (red button) and open garmin again, and it finds the gps reciver!! hehe.;)

finaly after 3 hours of messing around i got it working... all i need is to wait for the detailed maps to finish and find out a way to install it since all of the versions that i found are being scammed... meaning that people want money :(
I have iguidance for my carputer... think the maps will work??? they are all bin files and the poi's are seperate... plobly not :(...
I hate waiting but it seems that the garmin is alot better the route 66, its more engeneered and thought out... more polished. the buttons are visable unlike the menues that route 66 offers.... seems better im going to delete route 66 after my week and a half of battaling with it...
i use "rotate me" with it and it works awsome...
And i will hunt down the next person that says that tomtom is better ;)
question... what is the GarminQUE_AdriaRoute180_GPSProxy.rar ??? how do i install it and why would i want to???, but i am useing the base map from it, works great.

Thank you very much man, I wasted whole night and with the option ticked "hide file extensions for known file types". I never happen to think about it. Only after seeing your post I tried that and it worked, now, my N-95 doe snot say no gps. Now I am working with downloading maps.
All of you for those who are getting no GPS, try to open any folder in the windows, and then click on Tools menu -> Folder Options and then uncheck "hide file extensions for known file types". then you will see the files sw.unl and gmapsupp.unl actually being saved as sw.unl.tx and gmapsupp.unl.txt, before what you see is just sw and gmapsupp and so you assume that they are saved as unl only. Now you can just rename them by removing ".txt" and then copy them back to your \garmin directory and turn on your application it will detect the inbuilt GPS.

Yeah DON'T USE "City Navigator North America 2008" posted earlier in the thread. That file is corrupt and will not work anyway. Use the NA NT2008, smaller file to download and work great.

Yeah the pictures is of the City Nav NA 2008 (which is no good)
I download and use City Nav NT 2008
Just pick one file in the languae you want, click on it to install on your PC.

Thank you for a fats reply. I am not abel to install the dll, however, I entered into the "instal dir" and then double clicked "CNNANT2008Update_ENU.msi" and it installed it. I use the key that was posted on this forum and now, am copying the maps into the card using Map install.

That should be it. Once the map loads you should be good. Take it outside for a test drive or walk.:D
does anyone have any speed camera databases for gxt, have tried some but they need to work with garmin poi loader but are looking for individual speed zone files e.g 30, 40 ,50 etc, have already got the single file versions that just display either speed camera or redlight, would appreciate any help

They provide a key to allow the PC to open and transfer the maps to your GPS. Then they want $ for a time limited key to enable the maps on the GPS unit. Given that you have a keygen to unlock the maps for the GPS, why do you need to send any money???
I think it is this very reason that JetMouse withdrew his keygen from the web. Someone is profiteering off his hard work! :mad:

The 2008 NT looks for installed earlier version of Mapsource. If it does not find it, it won't work. Finding and executing the .msi, as you did was recommended to by pass that limitation.

Hurray!!!!!!!!! Its working good on my Nokia N95. Thanks to all special thank to Titan05 and Ozling. I downloaded all of the north American maps, it took a while, may be around hour and half for downloading, indexing and copying to my 2Gb card. But, its working very good, may not be comparable to the regular GPS sets, but, good for a mobile. I had a test drive and doing well.
I got this phone a gift from my friend back home and I was thinking that it has a navigated GPS, but, to my surprise I need to pay $159 for North American navigation for 3 years, which seems to be very costly. Instead it would be better to buy a cheap GPS set for $200 which has a bigger touch screen and more features with no time limit.
Good that we found an alternative in the form of Garmin, Nokia might now think of including the navigation feature when they sell the phone...
However, the Nokia maps are beautiful compared to the Garmin ones. I think they are the best maps, I had not seen such realistic maps on GPS sets. Navigation and options seems to be same, except for Nokia takes a little longer to get the GPS signal than the Garmin.

Nokia just bought out NavTeq. Garmin uses Navteq maps, and has an agreement for 3 (?) more years to do so. At the end of the day, they both will end up with the same maps. It is just a matter of which program display the map in a more user friendly manner, and which has better ergonomics.

The NT 2008 etc found on the net are updates. You need either an earlier version to install first, then apply the update. Can also double click on the .msi files in the install dir folder to install directly. Select the language you want.
Maps are all locked. You'll need a key to unlock it for use on Mapsource on the PC. Enter Demo to use the NA NT 2008.

I am downloading from ISO hunt. DO i have to run some unlocking wizard and if so which one and how. DO i have to unlock the map on my PC and then copy it on pocket pc. The Garmin maps all comes locked. You'll need one key to unlock it for the PC - usually included as the readme file, or on the torrent page. This will allow you to use Mapsource to browse the map. Using mapsource, you can select the tiles you want (the entire map if you want) and then use it to send it to your MMC.
When you run GarminXT, it will find the map, and will require the second unlock key (in Gmapsupp.unl file on your GPS), specific to your IMEI/Unit ID/Media ID that you will need to generate with the keygen to unlock this map.
Many scammers release the maps with the PC key, and ask for $ for the GPS key (gmapsupp.unl). You can calculate the GPS key yourself.
Copied maps, in the .img format, from one MMC to another will only require the GPS key (in gmapsupp.unl) to work. This key will again need to be calculated specific for your device.

I seem to be having a rough time getting this to work also. I finished downloading the torrent for City Navigator North America NT 2008 and MapSource allows me to open and select maps to transfer. Even though I've ran the activation code posted several times in both the Unlock Wizard and through MapSource, I get a popup that asks if I want to transfer the maps in demo mode. Doing so results in the GPS being disabled when it finds the maps on my card in my phone.
Is there something obvious I'm missing? I've also had no luck using the keygen to activate my own codes. Only the code posted allows me to progress through the activation process.

restarted the phone and i think its working. says its on agps. and voices are there present but doesnt work.

I think i know what the problem is.. Just go into the menu on the phone. Go into your memory card, and take a look at the two txt filen you copied over there. They say ".txt" at the end. Rename them, delete ".txt" after both files and it works....

No idea as i am still not able to get my map working. But i read somewhere in this forum that NA NT 2008 is the latest map so far. I hope there will be update soon. Tom Tom 6 maps are much older than garmin for NA

For those who update to 4.10.40, after you install the new program,
Use your file manager to access
Your MMC\Garmin\Apps\Symbian\res\GarminMobileXT.SIS
Click on the GarminMobileXT.SIS to install new version onto phone.
Everything should be the same as before, everything save no need to reinstall anything. Enjoy

I was create SW.UNL and GMAPSUPP.UNL but not working. "Only garmin GPS device" message is show. I try version 4.10.20 and 4.10.40 for UIQ 3. Please help me.
