I've downloaded the maps from phonejunky (thanks again) but tt6 cannot find them!?!
They are on the root of my microdrive just as my GB maps are but they don't appear when I try to change maps in preferences. Any ideas why?

The fact that the post you quoted is a few weeks shy of a YEAR old, is of course irrelevant and the fact that links usually last less than a WEEK, sometimes less than a whole day before being taken down by request of the copyright holders is also something that you should not have to concern yourself with.

This is a great forum, I am new, a techie and just learning still.
I have Australia and NZ Maps loaded fine with Version 7.6 of frimware on Go 710. Now trying to update to 7.900.9180 for Version 8 Map support.
Have patched ttsystem again and used tty7_keygen but when you start device you can see no maps present (they are there on the card).
What do I actually need? Where can I get it and what steps do I need to take.....??

if u wanna use a tomtom 7 taiwan map on ur tomtom u have to take an asia tomtom 7

You are looking in the wrong thread. This is for Tomtom7. Tomtom6 will not be able to use any of the version 7 maps.

Better to bypass 7.900 Nav and download 8.10 Nav it will give you more options like lane guidance and IQ routes.

This forum is littered with people who come only to take and complain when the stuff they come for isn't here. They have no conception of the time and bandwidth used to post then repost and repost and upload and re-upload the stuff which they then take without a hint of gratitude or thanks.
Their post count rarely exceeds 3, none of which are links, even though they may be asking for a keygen to crack a map they have downloaded elsewhere i.e. why don't they post a link to where they got the map from?
They come to take not to share.
BU has made many, many posts here. Amongst those, there is one he posted to a site that counts the number of downloads made. To date that number is 139. The number of people who have made the laborious and time consuming effort (not) of clicking on the, "Thanks" button. ( Jeebus you don't even have to type anything!) currently stands at six!

OK, is this the case also with Navcore 7.910(9185) for Windows Mobile as well?
I have the UK & Ireland 8.10(1870) map but this is not recognised on my PDA, only the 7.25(1871) map I have is recognised (both patched with the latest tt8_keygen).
I know you said maps version 8.15, however I have never seen any maps later than 8.10?

UK & Ireland maps 7.25(1871)
Western & Central Europe 2MB 7.25(1981)
A previous poster said they were running Navcore 7.900 with UK & Ireland map version 8.10(1870). I have this map but it isn't recognised by my version of Navcore for Windows Mobile.
Does anyone know if it should be? I don't think it is, however I would be glad to hear differently.

you can configure it to work on any tomtom :D

Forum is very slow here (and playing up, hence double post) probably because of the new 815 maps and everybody looking for them.
@gaz4660 As you are looking for, "....a meta.txt for Canada-Alaska-8.meta" you must have that map, otherwise it would be pointless to want it. Please upload the map or post a link to where it may be obtained in the spirit of sharing. Thanks.

I just copy links in to notepad and then post the text file with my message.
That way only forum members will be allowed to download it and use the links.
Dont know if this will stop them being removed or not but its worth a try.

did you enter the correct device id (can be found by opening ttgo.bif using notepad under the line called DeviceUniqueID=ABCDE 12345)

Ok found the mistake, even though i have navcore 7.9, i needed to use the navcore 8.01 and above to generate the corect code. when i used 7 - 7.9 it was incorrect.
Out of interest what o you mean by patching the ttsystem file?

Here is my situation:
HTC WM6.1 Phone with GPS
TomTom Navigator 7.910.9185 (for pdas)
I have the North America-14 maps v720.1802 and North America-19 maps v815.2019.
I've used the latest patcher, used the 7.9 patching option to produce dct (option 1, option 1) and the v720.1802 maps run perfectly.
The problem is that I can't do the same for the v815.2019. TomTom won't recognize that they exist. I've tried both options (option 1, option 1 and option 1, option 2)
Here is the TT Nav file I used, as well as the extracted TomTom Navigator.exe from the cab.

My TTone has not been patched, i don't know if this is the problem. Also can you pm me a step by step guide on how to patch amd generate the new meta. I have created the folders on my HDD, copied the meta from the new map file and placed it in the meta file folder, ran the generate, but have got the error message.

if i go through the TTHome on my pc the map shows nicely - BUT when i unplug it and use it portable it won't have it at all!!!!! :eek:
(error msg: 'you cannot use this map on this device: australia')
i reckon it's probably something really silly but my eyes are not working anymore with staring at this screen for hours!! - oh, and i also tried to get downloads via rapidshare and it's just not happening?!?! don't i just open the link in a new window??? website's not showing at all ...
but that's completly off topic :D - sorry!

My TTone has not been patched, i don't know if this is the problem. Also can you pm me a step by step guide on how to patch amd generate the new meta. I have created the folders on my HDD, copied the meta from the new map file and placed it in the meta file folder, ran the generate, but have got the error message.

You need to find the map you want and then locate the meta key needed to patch the maps

Download the keygen from the 1st page of this thread and run it, enter your device id and patch the ttsystem file, dct & meta files from the selected maps you wish to use and it will work for you! :D

As you are only trying to get a 720 map to work Nav7 will be OK.
The keygen WILL patch that ttsystem fine but remember, after you have made a dct for the map to run the keygen again to patch the ttsystem.
So, chose "RunMeforAllAutomatic"
Chose option 2 "Run it for all other Version 7 up to 8.002"
Chose option 1 to patch the map "Run Keygen for all Maps at your TTDevice."
then once again,
Chose "RunMeforAllAutomatic"
Chose option 2 "Run it for all other Version 7 up to 8.002"
This time chose option 2 "Run ttsystem patcher."
Done.
Get this working before thinking about moving on to a v8 Nav and v8 maps.
I feel your original problem is that the 8.010 nav you have is an official TomTom one and is not patched. The keygens will NOT patch Navs greater than 8.002.

hello people. im new here and i desperately need help with my go 910. i lent it to my mate and after hed given it back to me the problems started. at the begining it just kept on getting frozen and after some time it stopped for good. all of the data disappeared (maps, voices, poi's etc). i tried to fix it myself with no luck. i downloaded the map i need (Western_and_Central_Europe_720_1803) and i tried to follow all of the steps posted here many times. i downloaded the easytool (16th nov version) and tried to get my satnav back to normal. every time i do as it was said and then copy all of the files onto my tomtom's hard drive nothing happens. the firmware ive got i downloaded via tomtom home 2. i formated the satnav about 6 times since yesterday and installed fresh software. i tried to install maps both before i installed software and after. once i got to a point where tomtom home said i did have a map but it didnt work anyway. normally after following all of the steps and turning the device on it says no maps found!.
i tried so may times and nothing. please could you give me the complete instruction again? i need steps as from the empty h/drive, just after formating it so i know im doing everything properly.

What is the version of firmware you downloaded from Home? Some versions cannot be patched.

First download this keygen. Is is a very recent one.

download the keygen from the 1st page (all the parts)
then right mouse click on part1 and select extract to folder
then run the automaticrunmefordct.cmd then automaticrunmeformeta.cmd

this happens when people select the wrong drive or unplug the drive before closing the software
use the command /ResetConfig after the file to reset the configuration data
if you are getting a error about dll's you need to download the vb6 runtime files from the microsoft website

for this version click on either patch meta or patch dct and select the option to patch the ttsystem, this will allow you to patch the ttnavigator.exe version of tomtom :D

Hi, can someone tell me where i can get the latest TomTom Maps for TT 730 ? and what is the latest version and can these be patch on a TT 730 yet. getting a bit peed with TomTom they want another £60 for updating and only had the unit 4 or 5 months.

Click on the link you get taken to a page with a dlc zip. or rar. if you have WinRAR installed. (recommended)
At the bottom of the page. It says, "Save file to your PC click here." Click where it says, "click here" NOT on, "PC".
When the file is downloaded it needs to be unzipped.or unRARed.
Click on the unzipped file which is a dlc called 7900+7901 Container file.
Cryptload will start. A box will open saying "Choose your packages. Expand to choose specific files."
Click the + box to expand the file and the contents of the container will open.
In this case:
Home_Navcore_dll_7-900-9180-1rar
SE_ttsystem.7900.9180.rar
SE_ttsystem.7901.9181.rar
Click the button marked, "Add."
A box called, "Package settings" appears with options . Click on , "Start immediately" and, "Free" if you don't have a Premium Rapidshare account then, "OK"

Thanks for the instructions but from the link you gave me ,it takes me to a site with an arrow going round the DLC,when I click on that it asks me to save file ,when I do that the file I receive is no a zip file .Please help.

for this version click on either patch meta or patch dct and select the option to patch the ttsystem, this will allow you to patch the ttnavigator.exe version of tomtom :D

I cannot upload as an attachment any type of file to these forums. I thought it was because I needed 500 posts at first but that is not the case. I have to upload to 2shared or similair then post a link to the file here. Sometimes the file is only 40KB or so but I have to go through the hassle of uploading then linking here. sometimes a picture would be the simplest way of explaining something but I can't upload these as an attachment either. ( or any other type of permitted file)
I also want only members to use my links. Attaching a text file with the link inside would accomplish that.

hi rytenuff, i am currently on Navcore 8.300 (9732/081030) Boot 5.5015 map version i ahve is 805.1801. they are saying my map is not supported and i should update for £60 only had the dam thing 5 months.

They don't work for GPS Navigator as of yet... we need 815.2024.

For the rider i've to use NC v7.901, this is the last version, which will support v8 maps...
With the patch tool I can patch the map, the map is part of the meta.txt.
But I still can not find the map on the device (rider 1) after all.
Any idea?

Maybe I'm wrong, but for the 7.901 I did not found anything, and I have watched videos, I read a lot of threads, and I know the difference between the meta file and the meta.txt I only tried to say that the 815 map I have is listed in the meta.txt. With the 725 maps everything works well, but not with the 815, and I have patched the maps the same way...

The reason you didn't find the 7.901 nav was because I made a typo when I posted it. I typed 7.910 instead!! Oops.
the 7.901 nav will not read ALL 815 maps. It won't read 815.2003 maps but it will read 815.2024 maps.
The 7.900 and 7.901 are in the same dlc.

You need to upgrade TomTom Navigator to the latest for Windows Mobile to support the latest version 8.15 maps. Currently this is 7.910(9185). You will also need a specific version of the maps as they are not all the same; there appears to be either two or three versions of each 8.15 map. I suggest you get the Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Eastern Europe map version 8.15.2024 - DE_AT_CH_and_Eastern_Europe_815_2024

It's up to you. The 8.15 maps are supposed to contain the latest information, I don't know if there is a list of changes between 7.x and 8.x maps available anywhere?
One difference between version 7 and 8 maps is the amount of storage they use - they actually get smaller with version 8. So if there are not many map changes you at least gain some storage space on your memory card.

only the benelux map works . it cant find the other maps, but when i conntect to tomtomhome it says there are four maps. but i can just use 1 and thats the old benelux 6.5 map. i already cracked the ttsystem and i patched all the maps. i dont understand it

ok got it up and running all maps work fine. but when i used the already patched ttsystem .. i get no sound..when i put original ttsystem i get sound back
i used this ttsystem various\SE_ttsystem.7900.9180 i got this from cryptdownloader .. anyone else having the same problem ? cause i need a proper ttsystem crack now

I cannot see any mention of a New Zealand map on MY page 175. Bear in mind that you can alter the number of posts shown per page so YOUR page 175 may be different to someone else's. Better to quote the post number.

V7 is SUPPOSED to be able to see V6 maps, yes?
I have them on my MicroSD card, V6 works. V7 doesn't see the map files at all; I have the activation codes but I can't get the app to "find" the files. What am I missing?
I haven't been able to find a V7 mapset for the US that actually works.

HTC Kaiser, 7.910(9185), as far as I know it is the official (not cracked or patched) version.
When first loaded it let me download the one map (which I did); I have on the same card a number of V6 maps, but it does not "see" them.
I've tried to find V7 or V8 maps but so far nothing has worked; cryptload doesn't appear to do anything when I try to load a DLC file.

First off let me say I know little about that kind of device. I use TomTom in car devices.
If your Navcore is official then you won't be able to use "stolen" ( not bought by you for your device) maps. You need to use an already cracked Navcore. Then you will have to patch the maps using a later edition of EasyUseTools. see post #2 of the v8 thread. I am not 100% sure but I believe that your v6 maps need to be v6.75 before they will be seen. Open the PNA file in Notepad to see what they are.

That would explain it. I have the ability to keygen but the software doesn't appear to see it at all. I do have the V6 app and it has been "fixed"..... (I actually bought it, but refuse to be screwed when I get a new device!)

Badongo is frustrating..... out of the three files only one came through cleanly; it reset my connection multiple times over the last 12 hours, and once I allow its "hold down" timer to clear it has rate-throttled the download to 128kbps!

I got the maps and app loaded; trying to find the instructions on where the "meta" file goes. The app says its not activated, and the patcher says "There is no key for ..... in Meta.txt"
I created that (with the appropriate data) and tried it in the directory in the patcher's structure, in the map directory itself, and in the root of the SD card without joy.
I'm obviously missing something stupid...... one clue-by-4 and I should have it :)

1. Load cracked version of application on the PDA (Kaiser)
2. Download and load your choice of map(s) onto your card.
3. Get the device ID (you have to have ONE good map to do this as far as I know, which means grabbing the one "freebie" TomTom city map it offers you, since you have to get to the status screen and CAN'T without one good map)
4. TURN OFF the Kaiser, place memory card in your PC.
5. Make sure the map(s) you wish to unlock have the meta data in the file META.TXT in the PROGS folder of the Keygen program. If its not you will get errors - find the META data and append it to the META.TXT file in there.
6. Run Keygen's "RunMeForAllAutomatic" script, select option (1), select the drive where your SD card has mounted on the PC.
7. Wait for it to complete.
8. Place card back in device, power on. Select map. You're in business.
The NOT OBVIOUS part of this is that if the map's META data is not in the file exactly where that data has to go isn't well (ok, at all) documented. There is little documentation in the KeyGen archive explaining where the meta.txt file actually goes/is, and if your map's meta line isn't in there the program will barf on the map. I found the correct location by digging into the script.
BTW am I correct that the V7 PDA core file cannot do TTS for street names? It appears that all V7 really offers over V6 (which I've had for quite a long time) is more current map data.... the other changes are not very significant (ok, ok, "call the cops" is interesting, but kinda silly when you have a PDA PHONE, right?)

I do have a PDA so got a bit excited at being able to update with TTS etc (Yes Rytenuff i have a number of gadgets TT1 TTXL PDA N96 etc etc...lol)
Anyway i tried the 2 links you kindly posted but neither will work on my PDA (Ipaq 1940, just for messing with dont really use it).
So i will have to go searching for more.
Does anyone know which version of tomtom is the oldest (mine is 7.450) that will allow v8 maps to work??????

I attempted to run what looked like the CAB files for the US English male and female voices, and they refused to install. I presume that's the answer to that.

The cab files are zipped RAR. Open (just one voice cab to start with) with WinRAR. Create a folder called exactly VocalizerTTS (case sensitive) in root then copy the files from the unRared cab into the folder.
I haven't a clue if it will work but that is how it is done on a car type TomTom.

The CAB files should install cleanly on their own Ryt; I'll play with extracting the CAB file and see if I can get it to load. I wouldn't bet on it working tho.

BTW, xda-developers has up on there several different versions of the HTC-specific app - two for Kaisers and other QVGA devices (in both black and blue trim) and two for VGA devices (Raphael-based units, e.g. the Touch Pro.)
Both function with "KeyGen'd" maps; I prefer the black trim over the blue. Note that all four of those are PDAPhone-specific versions and appear to work ONLY with the internal GPS; the usual GPS selection screen has only "Internal GPS" as a choice and does not permit selecting an external (e.g. Bluetooth or cabled) GPS unit. I believe these were extracted from various HTC-delivered firmware loads; from what I can determine TT's web site refuses to sell North American maps for PDA devices with this firmware at all (!) although their "free pick one" chooser embedded in the app WILL let you get one city map. It looks like they intended the V7 included apps only for the European market.
XDA considers these not to be "Warez" (which they prohibit and WILL ban you for posting) as they are useless with a key code for the maps and are in fact delivered in the base firmware loads from HTC.

No you don't need to keygen the voices.

Hmmmm... that's not what I got!
I have a directory called "bin" that has a bunch of ".so" (shared library?) files in it, another called "data" with directories and files in there (directories "languages" and "voices", plus what appears to be lexicons), a ".session file and a txt file called "LicenseCode7".
This is "American_English-female-Susan"
Is the TTS file for the others over in the V8 thread somewhere? I'll grab that and find it if I can find it..... looks like the base links for the files are "gone" (I'll poke around and see if there's a DLC; I got the java-based retriever working)

I finally managed to get the 7.910 version working on my pocket pc and tried the vocaliserTTS folder in various locations.
It wont work.
When you go to select voices there is no "computer voice" option in the pocket pc version so it is pretty much a non starter.
i am sure at some point a version will appear that does.

just download v8.10 or above patched firmware from this thread
find a new map i.e. "uk and ie v8.15"
download it and extract it to your tomtom device

FYI - You don't need a map to get the Device ID. Once you open Tomtom, and it yells at you for having the incorrect activation code, you can just hit "Done". The Device ID can be found in the "ttnavigator.bif" file in the root directory of the Storage Card.
If you find out your version of the Keygen does not include the meta code for your map, you can insert it into the "Meta.txt" file, which (if you're using Easyusetools) can be found in the "Progs" folder of the Keygen.

My version of Tomtom, though its defaulted to "Built-In GPS", allows me to choose other options. Even if your PDA does not have a built-in GPS (i.e. Bluetooth GPS receiver) if it is set up correctly through the "External GPS" settings on your device, it will still work.

1 Does the newest "crack" interface derive its information from the ttgo.bif file in terms of device serial number etc. And what happens if there is no ttgo.bif file on the Tom Tom, does the interface derive the device data from the ASIC?
2 I was going to ask if the pass code was held in the Samsung KM456 device or in SDRAM and would I be able to "short out" pins on the sdram to fool the device into passing over the pass code stage of its boot up?
I was going to ask if it was a simple pass code, or was it encrypted?

I am still missing something here? If the tomtom has a password and has been switched off, and then on again the unit ignores the USB connection since it is looking for an input from the front panel in terms of the passcode. Ok the data can be in the .bif file, but if the pc cannot connect since the USB port is blocked no data can be read.

The usb port is not blocked you just need to know how to bypass it ;)
But thats for another day, knowledge is power my friend....!
you can easy bypass the passcode to allow access via the usb port...tricks of the trade :D
