I liked the v0.4 better. One could specify the maps folder manually, the method version 0.5a is using (looking for the maps through USB) doesn't work for PDA devices. I tried it on several PDA's but they are not detected: "Please turn ON your TT device or connect to PC."

Well that's one problem sorted out but it leads me to my next one. I'm going to the UK in July for a couple of weeks and I thought it would be nice if I could take out the SD card with the OZ maps on and put another SD card with the UK maps in just while I'm in the UK. Ive downloaded the UK maps off this site and followed the Navcore 8.410.1218 instructions but when I do the bit where it says open Tom Tom keygen 2009 v2.0B and run Tomtom2.exe I click on Tomtom2.exe and a message appears saying 'You need a meta.txt' can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Just a quick tip: the .ver files are not needed to enable the use of the speed cams Thanks to Tendriver.

I installed TT7 on my HTC Touch HD and patched it Ok, but have no Voices. Sound wont work. No matter where I save copies of the Sounds folder to it does not detect them... any ideas anyone.

Copy the voices to the folder called c:\program files\tomtom navigator

You need to download tomtom 6.02 cracked for symbian phones from this thread, do a search for it ;)

then copy all files to your storage device,
copy your v6 (NOT v7 or v8)maps to the root of the storage device,
then install the gpsx app for your bluetooth to add a virtual port to the internal gps

Sorry for sounding thick but is it a case of putting all the info from my OZ tt one onto a SD card and then putting the patches in a file on the SD card then put the SD card into my UK tt one and job done? If so which file do I put them in? Sorry for being a pain but if you would be willing I could do with you giving me step by step instructions.

Download Cryptload from here: http://cryptload.info/download/ (http://cryptload.info/download/)

Then open up cryptload and in cryptload you need to open up that small little file (Add Package>File - then find where you have saved the .dlc file.), and then cryptload will download the full map for you.

I've not tried getting a Mapshare update for my UK map (Version 825 (OLD NOW)) for the past couple of days and can't try right now either, but the new 830 version map was released so that could be the reason your not getting mapshare updates for the OLD map now.

Despite hanging around this forum for some time now and downloading multiple files of various kinds, I've never managed to successfully install a map on my htc touch diamond. At Christmas my son recognised my frustrations and bought me the uk map, with which I've been happy until now. However I'm going on holiday to the Usa & Canada in August, and would like ... you've guessed it....
I've downloaded TT_Nav_7.450.9028_repack3 (not sure abt qvga or vga) plus North_America_720.1803 map plus from what I can see the latest easy use tools. Oh and a useful video tutorial from youtube. So I'm ready to go, ever optimistic.
But one question before I start:
Will patching TT7 for the new map adversely affect the UK map??

This is my favorite. Run it. For device ID point to the location of tt.bif file, which should be on your device in tomtom folder. Then copy meta into the meta folder, and point the device to this folder. It will extract all of the info and generate dct file to patch your maps. Make sure you select TT8 keygen for TT 7.9 version. If you use TT7 keygen, it will not work with the latest TT7 navigators.

I have followed your instructions for downloading the new TT7 and patching tool fine, However the map link - http://forum.ppcwarez.org/viewtopic.php?f=265&t=65381 - has resulted in North America V-830.2284 .dlc. I don't know what to do with a.dlc file - I gather it has something to do with JDownloader but having downloaded that I can't make any sense of how to open the .dlc file. So near and yet so far!!

Guide how to run TT Asperin v0.6 :)

1. connect your TT device (if you use PDA version, then connect SD Card) to PC
2. Run TTAsperin v0.6.exe

I have followed your instructions for downloading the new TT7 and patching tool fine, However the map link - http://forum.ppcwarez.org/viewtopic.php?f=265&t=65381 - has resulted in North America V-830.2284 .dlc. I don't know what to do with a.dlc file - I gather it has something to do with JDownloader but having downloaded that I can't make any sense of how to open the .dlc file. So near and yet so far!!

I had this issue recently with any favourites or recent destinations when I upgraded my map and copied the 'MapSettings.cfg' file to the new map folder. I could select Navigate to Favourite and then select a favourite, however as soon as it attempted to start planning it failed with either the same or a similar message you are seeing.
I ended up removing all my favourites (including Home) and re-adding them, I also cleared out the recent destinations as these couldn't be used either. Since then however it has worked OK.

Then it automatically should create a .dct file in your map folder. So, check the map folder and see if this works. It may generate dct automatically, without pushing anything as long as it has the maps. So, just check your map folder for .dct file.

If not, the other tool I gave you the link works very well as well.

Where are the map and tools stored on your C:\ drive?

To change directories you use the command 'CD' with options. If you want to go back to the root then use 'cd\' , if you want to move back one level use 'cd..'.

On my PC I have a folder called 'c:\tomtom'. In this folder I have the 'tt8_keygen.exe' and 'meta.txt' as well as sub-folders with maps (United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_830_2306 etc). Lets assume you have the same folder structure as me - 'c:\tomtom' with the two files 'tt8_keygen.exe' and the 'meta.txt' in it. Inside this folder in another folder with your map '\North_America', inside this folder are two files 'North_America-35.meta' and the 'North_America.pna' (assuming that is the map you are trying to use?).
You would need to open a command prompt - Start, Run, cmd
Change directory to the c:\tomtom folder - cd\tomtom
Type the command to generate the .dct file - tt8_keygen North_America XXXXXXXX - where XXXXXXXX is your unique device ID.
This should generate the file 'North_America-35.meta.dct' file.
Copy the files to the map folder on your storage card.

Try another tool I sent you a link of. I think it is much easier to use than EasyTools kit. This is what I use for my touch pro. I just put the new NA map on it using the progarms in my original post. Took 2 min. See if that works for you.

Sorry sophie999 but the tools you sent the links for ARE the tools I've been using (as well as anything else anyone has kindly suggested). The .dct file is there in the map folder. When I go on to patch the navcore the tt system patcher says it can't find the file; see post #3319 . So I'm stumped. I don't know if this is something to do with the TD's "My Device" and "Internal Storage" System. There seems to be an original installation on MY device and a later one on Internal Storage. I uninstalled the earlier one on My Device thinking the tt system patcher was going for that. Now TomTom says No Maps Found while the device is plugged into the pc, but when it is unplugged I can use TomTom and it is with the 7.915 navcore and I can use my installed UK map.
I don't suppose anyone can make any sense of this ..... just letting out my frustrations really!!!

1. Unpack TTN7 from the link. It will either be a CAB file or a combo of 2 files: TT7 .exe and .data. If it is cab file, just install it. If it is a combo of 2 files, copy them on your device. In either case, they DO NOT need any patching (unlike navcore 8 used for PNA TT devices, which do need separate patching). For TT7, only maps need to be patched. You can later up/downgrade your TT7 version simply by repalcing existing .exe and .data files by new ones without any more patching it is that simple).

2. Generate .dct file. Place .dct file in the folder with the US map. Copy maps to your device.

3. Run the TT. If cab was installed, find TT among your programs. If you got 2 separate files, just run the TT .exe file from wherever you put it. You can then copy the shortcut of .exe file to the windows/start menu/programs directory so that it will appear on your program list.

4. Enjoy. Your native UK map should work with any TT7 versions. It will not need any patching. Device should be able to recognize it. So, install US maps and TT navigator first. Make sure it works. Then simply add UK maps.

Tried TT Asperin today installing USA & Canada map v830.2323 on my Touch Diamond and it worked perfectly; because it was a supported map it just found it and patched it. All I had to do was put the map on the device. Thanks.

I have two quick questions:

1. It seems there are at least 2 ways to install TT7 on PDA: Install CAB file to the main memory or the storage card or simply copy TT .exe and .data files to the card or main memory and simply run .exe file. I tried both ways and could not find a difference. Am I missing something? Is there any advantage to install CAB file vs just using .exe and .data files from the storage card?

2. Are any of the TT PDA and PNA maps interchangeable (can be used for both devices)? I thought that TT PNA uses Linux, not Win CE, but there are several posts saying that some maps can be used for both devices.

Hi Guys i have copied my maps from my ttone to my HTC but get "Activation failed, sorry this is not the correct activation code for the product 'Southern Africa_720_1862"

I have previously downloaded the keygens that BU requested, but every time i click on generate bat, my pc says that it cannot find generate.bat.

Some assistance please, i have a v720 South African map. Have followed the procedures to generate the .dct map. Have got the following message:

Keygen says OK - copy now the new .dct into map folder (Have done this)
User device ID - ********
Used Option 1 you need also a patched TT System/ Tomtom Navigator exe

When i run TT on my HTC it says it cannot find any maps. Do i need to place the maps in a specific folder? Also is this in the Internal Storage/Main memory.

Do i need to patch the software on the phone in order for this rto run. Where can i get the patched software and how do i install this?

Will appreciate any assistance received.

Outlawd I suggest using the Asperin software posted here #3337 (http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showpost.php?p=4534782&postcount=3337). Use the version where no meta data is needed. Put your map in the Internal Storage. Run Asperin with your phone connected to your pc. It will find your map (provided it is the supported type for the phone.) This was how I finally installed my map on my htc td after struggling for ages.

Just ran Asperin myself with the TD connected. It correctly identifies everything on my phone. If I then start Tom Tom it says "no maps found". I have to disconnect, turn off the phone and restart. Then all is normal and I can see the maps I have on my phone in TomTom.

hi all, I just purchased a new Nokia 5800 Music Express and I downloaded Nokia Map from the website but my GPS only worked for 7 days.

My IMEI is 354216035516560

Soory for my lack of exposure but I would assume that I would need the followings to run GPS on my Nokia 5800:

1. A mobile phone with built-in GPS satelite received which Nokia 5800 has it (sympian OS)
2. UN expired licensed copy of the program that will run the map and routing on the mobile phone which i dont have
3. Maps which one wishes to get the GPS routing on. I am in South East Asia and Middle East for the most part and I would be grateful if someone can give me some pointers to the maps of Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Singapore.

How do I get map share (corrections) to work? I havent tried connecting device to PC yet, do I have to edit some files first?

I downloaded a version of TT7 & maps off the web. I wanted to upgrade from TT6 as the maps were old when I purchased the software a year ago. The version that I have installed on my VZW Touch is

App. Ver. - 7.450 (9028)
Map Ver. - North_America_720.1803

I have no problem using TomTom on my phone. The problem is that TomTom Home does not recognize the maps. TT7 has the map correction function & I would like to be able to use it if possible. TomTom Home 1.5 will
recognize my phone & TT7. TomTom 2.3 will not even recognze my phone.
What do I need to do for the map corrections to work? What version of TomTom Home do I need.

There are newer versions of TT7 out there but they are for VGA devices.

Any help is greatly appricated as I have searched & Searched.

Hello,

I've recently bought a double din dvd (double height) car head unit, that has bluetooth & gps built in. It runs win ce.

I downloaded "TomTom Navigator 7.910 for Win CE" and copied it to an SD Card, which the stereo uses to run the navigator software. The applications runs ok and I can start the initial setup where you select language, voices, but then I get stuck on the "No maps found" problem.

I downloaded the "tomtom.maps.of.usa.canada.and_mexico.v8.30.2325" maps, cracked them with my device's ID (with no error messages) and copied them in the SD Card (I tried in the root directory, in the tomtom directory). I still get the "No maps found" message.

I found a thread where a suggestion is made to modify the unit's registry, where it states:
"Use registry editor go to:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- EXPLORER
- SHELL FOLDERS
- My Document
Click on My Documents and it will bring up a little box the bottom box need changing from my documents to \storagecard (REMEMBER BACKSLASH AND NO SPACES)"

but in the registry of my unit I don't have the SHELL FOLDERS -> My Documents entries, I only have these:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
EXPLORER

I created "SHELL FOLDERS" entry and then inside of it a DWORD entry called "My Documents" and set is value to "\storagecard", but if I close the entry and then check it's value, it is set to "0".... and TomTom still doesn't find the maps.

By the way, the SD card on my unit seems to have a different name, it seems to be "SDMMC", I also tried setting this value in the new registry entries that I created but it didn't work. Maybe because of the "0" value? (Maybe the entry I created shouldn't be a DWORD?)

Any other ideas on how to solve the "No maps found" problem? Or maybe someone can see something that I'm doing wrong and I'm not catching?
