yes just buy a new memory card and install tomtom 6.0 windows mobile onto it and download a set of v6 maps and install them to it

I got the ttv6 windows mobile from page 1 of this thread but there is no way I can run the ttn6_setup file from the navigator. the navigator is looking for a .exe file

copy the folders from the go510 to your pc
copy the selected modded files and folder from the go910 zip file to the same folder on the pc (remember to overwrite)
then copy all files back to device

I did it exactly as the instruction says but I still have the same GO510 as before. Maybe it does not work with the new OS. :confused:
I was right: I started from scratch and installed firmware version 6 – it showed all the buttons for MP3 and Pictures as well as described my GO510 as GO710 but after connected to Internet and upgraded with TomTom Home 2.1 all new features disappeared – only GO710 designation has not been changed. It means the “free” upgrade to GO910 does not work unless there is a new trick to it.

put the cable in your n95...
use mass storage...
and u already should have the voices folder there...
if not create one...
copy selected voice in that folder....

However I am having problem finding a newest maps for my Symbian S60 v2 phone (Nokia N70).
Can anyone point me to the newest versions of europe maps (Central and Eastern Europe) for S60 v2 devices.
I think the latest ones are map versions 568 and 605. However I cannot find them enywhere.

installation of tomtom 6.02

download tomtom 6.02 for symbian 3rd gen phones
extract all files to a new folder on the desktop
copy all files from inside the new folder to the root of the memory card

i.e. Licences, Private, Raster, Resource, Sys, Tomtom, Voices


Maps

just copy the selected map folder to the root of the memory card

2. The sis file doesn't need to be installed cos the system will install it straight away

Thank you so much for your help, you are really trying to help everyone and that is admirable! I did use the keygen, but I got the windows error every time (you know the one with "do you want to send a report or don't message).

I've found the keygen on some other page. Now everything works fine, but I would love to get route 66 working with maps...So I don't have to use an external gps with my internal gps Nokia Navigator.

The way to Activate your Maps for TomTom v6.0

Download and Extract to a folder

copy the "UK_and_IE_plus_major_roads_of_WE 6.75.bat" to another file called something like "copy of UK_and_IE_plus_major_roads_of_WE 6.75.bat"

copy the mid file from the new maps into the same folder as the keygen, etc

rename the "copy of UK_and_IE_plus_major_roads_of_WE 6.75.bat" to the same name as mid file that you need to activate

edit the "UK_and_IE_plus_major_roads_of_WE 6.75.bat" with notepad

it will display this


Go_Keygen.exe "UK_and_IE_plus_major_roads_of_WE 6.75.mid"
pause


now change the UK_and_IE_plus_major_roads_of_WE 6.75.mid to the new map you want to activate, i.e. "DE_AT_CH_PL_CZ_Plus.mid"

and SAVE the FILE!

now run the new Bat File called "DE_AT_CH_PL_CZ_Plus.bat" and enter your device ID i.e ABCDE 12345

and the codes will be displayed

Hi Bu mobile i must say you have been very patient with many people on this forum explaining the same questions over an over again!
Just a thought to save you some time if you have a video camera or mobile phone with video camera capability perhaps you could show some rather in experienced people in carrying out a few and simple tasks on how to install the software if they choose??
The footage could then be uploaded on utube or another server for people to see what is needed to be done :)
I must say i made a little mistake when i was installing the software on my phone Tom Tom v6 i tried to keep all the files organised so put all the files in another folder on the root directory!!! Needless to say it didn't fire up until i read more of your posts!

Welcome to the forum. I see this was your first post. Have you read ANY of the previous pages in the forum yet ? If you had only scrolled back 2 or 3 pages you would see that this subject has been covered many times here already. The N95 will work with TomTom6 but only with v6 maps and ONLY with an external GPS. It will not work with the internal GPS in your phone.
Route 66 will work (but it requires a signed file), and Garmin XT will work, but please at least do some reading here before posting.

you must have saved it to a different format

1, download the meta file again from the tomtom v7 keygen
2, use explorer, select tools from the menu and select folder options, click file types and select notepad (*.txt) and remove the selected files opened with this program

Hi again BU (and TTUser & Tricky & the other contributors). I'm sure I'm speaking for everyone reading this when I send my thanks for all your posts here and elsewhere :) Your efforts are much appreciated.

I know TomTom Home doesn't see the V7 map installations on connected TT devices but, (and maybe I was dreaming after too much egg nog at Christmas) I'm sure I saw a post somewhere on here explaining how to patch the TThome installation on the PC so that it showed the new maps installed using these tools.

Was I dreaming, or did you see a post explaining how to patch TTHome too ?

I've searched everywhere here on these forums and elsewhere and can't find a thing, maybe I was just dreaming LOL :)

I haven't had a chance to check it, but it's been reposted a couple of times there already without criticism so I guess it works. Anyway, here's a revised post to get you going :)

PLEASE BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL FILES TO SOMEWHERE SAFE BEFORE YOU APPLY ANY CHANGES

OK So you've installed v7 Maps BUT NOW TTHome shows "No Maps Found", well it's a crack, so live with it, you now need to crack TTHome as well. You can use this.

Copy the files to the directory C:\Program Files\TomTom HOME 2\xul\plugins\emulator\navcore (it will replace the original one if already there). If you have TTHome v1.5/1.6 then copy to C:\Program\Files\TomTom\HOME\Navigator Dlls



AFAIK That should be it, well you might have to reboot your PC & restart TTHome, but hopefully that works.

Hi all have just started using my old nokia 6680 with tom tom 5.2 on and just wondered is there a western europe map and if so which is latest one and Australia map. I know i am way behind times with my old 6680 but am used to it and if there are fairly up to date ones of the 2 maps I'm after as mentioned before am happy to keep using it. how you do it is easy

1, downlaod the keygen from this thread
2, extract it to a folder called TomTom KeyGen
3, copy the mid file from the maps into the TomTom Keygen Folder
4, open notepad and type


Go_Keygen.exe "UK_and_IE_plus_major_roads_of_WE 6.75.mid"
pause

5, Change "UK_and_IE_plus_major_roads_of_WE 6.75.mid" to your Mid file from your Maps
6, Save the Bat File and run it

tomtom 7 firmware does support v7 maps

they're just a trick on how to get working :D

Route 66 - supports postcode search, but no custom POI's
Garmin XT - supports custom POI's, better detailed maps, but no postcode search ?

Sorry Vlado, I haven't tried the software hack myself, I just found it on another forum and there were so many asking or wondering why TomTom Home couldn't see the V7 maps that had been installed, I thought it might be useful. If anyone has tyried this and got it to work, perhaps they could post the info in this thread.

tomtom 7 hasn't been released yet (and may never be released for mobile /pda's)

but you can use garmin xt for mobiles, pda's and pocket pc's

I have now managed to install TomTom on my N95 8GB. But only have Guam map loaded.

I have two questions:-

1) How do i install a UK map?
2) Which UK map do i need?

it's becuase your maps and system files are patched on the device

when you use the tomtom home it will use its own system files :cool:

so you need to crack the tomtom home software too :D

Sign any Application with this little easy to use tool!

Allows you to sign you apps by using the Multiple Keys (Bu.key and Sultan.key Included)

All you need to do is

1, Click on Sis File Needed to Sign

2, Click on the Certificate File for the Selected Device (i.e 123456121234567.cer)

3, Click the Signing Key (i.e Sultan.key, Bin.key, etc)

[it will autotype in the selected Signing Key Password if Known]

4, Click the Sign App Button.

5, After your App is Signed you'll have a File that is called the Same name as before but with .SIGNED.SIS on the end in the Same folder where the app is

Other Useful Info

i managed add voices, but no maps?
Do i need to make maps folder or what in my memcard? I tried to put them in the root, in the tomtom folder, made maps folder in tomtom folder? How do i install maps? I dont get it :-D
And is this usable with N70 "SE_DK_NO_and_FI_plus_major_roads_of_WE 1409" (need finnish maps)

Got the cracked Software, got the keygen, got the South African map files and the voice files...just got ABSOLUTELY no idea what do now, LOL, besides dump it on my memory card and pray I can install it and it works :(

Thanks, but I already had the zip (postcode) folder from that last link & full postcode search is achievable....

Bar the fact that if I search via POSTCODE to a certain road it doesnt come up & brings up a whole total different road or says unknown road. But if I search via Street I find it.... The postcode is 100% correct as its my home address.. LOL Other postcodes do work mind you.. So my road must be too new or something.

Which has lead me to think it must be an outdated postcode file or map..


Why do I say this? My TomTom one device, finds the postcode fine.....


The Symbian one doesnt.... :confused:
