I just bought new TomTom GO720 (I had GO510 before) and tried to used maps mentioned at this forum and realized one thing:
When I use tt7_keygen on a Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB map and place it on a SD memory card the GPS unit does not see it. But when I just move the map from the card to TomTom flash it works. :confused:
Does anybody have a cure for it? Thanks

Instructions:

1. Download and install Garmin Mobile XT.
2. Launch GMXT, got to Settings -> About.
3. Make note of your "Card ID"
4. Launch the keygen, and enter the "Card ID" you see on GMXT About page.
5. Select Map product and hit the corresponding Generate button to generate both Device & Map unlock key.
NOTE: If your map is not included in the Map product list, select <custom mapset>, enter the corresponding MAPID and hit OK.
5. Copy (CTRL+C) the Device unlock key to clipboard.
6. Now open the Notepad and paste (CTRL+V) the key and save the file as SW.UNL
7. Copy (CTRL+C) the Map unlock key to clipboard.
8. Open the Notepad again and paste (CTRL+V) the key and save the file as GMAPSUPP.UNL
9. Put your newly created files to your SD Card\Garmin directory and restart GMXT.

So ... I have a TomTom One 3rd edition. It has no external memory slot. The internal memory is 512MB which is to less for big maps. Did anybody try to open the device and check if it's possible to upgrade the device?

Anyway, I seem to have a problem with MapShare. Tomrom Home (2.xx) says that my maps are 21 weeks old, and there's many mapshare corrections (>13000). But I just can't download them.

Did I do something wrong ?

Actually v7.15 map is working great but I am unable to set the security pin via Tomtom Home as it just keeps coming up with 'No Maps Found'.

TTHome as will usually suggest to finish loading missing files. Will agree, finish loading.
Naturally, now TTHome does not see maps of 7-th version. Stop TTHome.

1. From folder C: \Documents and Settings\ ... \Application Data\TomTom\HOME\Profiles\uib8en0z.default\extensi ons\Navcore.7--221-8572-3.@tomtom.com copy dll-Navcore.7--221-8572-3.dll (or 7-221-***X-X.dll) in other folder (for example С:\A\).
2. Copy in the same folder patcher.exe (from folder ttsystem_Patcher) and start a command line (cmd).
3. Pass in folder (C: \A), and type: patcher.exe Navcore.7--221-8572-3.dll (or 7-221-***X-X.dll) and press <Enter>. Close a command line.
4.Received new dll copy in the folder specified above (C: \Documents and Settings\ ... \Application Data\TomTom\HOME\Profiles\uib8en0z.default\extensi ons\Navcore.7--221-8572-3.@tomtom.com), replacing old.

just copy all the map files into the insert_meta_files_here folder and then run the dct and meta bat files and it will calc the ****fish key.

now enter the ****fish key into the meta.txt and enter the correct meta file :D

to make this route 66_v8 program to work you have do this things :

1, download the program
http://rapidshare.com/files/89255007/route66_3d.rar

extract the file and after exracting open the map and copy the file to the first map route66_V8.

2, open the map route66_v8 and then open the data map.

3, go to the imei.dat file and open it with the notepad program

4, change the imei nummber to your phone imei (dont delete the zero)
after doing that close and save the changes 2 the file.

5, open the phone.dat file also with notepad and put your phone imei
after that close and safe the changes 2the file.

v6.75 maps will work on v7 firmware :D

just copy the maps onto your device,

then downlaod the v6 keygen from the 1st pages and activate via it :)

Hi Everyone! I've spent a lot of time reading this forum, because I want to install a map to my TT ONE XL device... But I can't.. :( My problem is that I copy all the map files into "insert_meta_from_Map_here", and I run the runmeForDct.bat and RunMeForMeta.bat. After all I overwrite the old "Western_Europe_1GB-7.meta" file with the new "Western_Europe_1GB-7.meta" file! Then I also run the ttsystem patcher (runme.bat), and overwrite the old ttsystem with the new one. But it doesn't work! The patcher program says that:
Basic explanation:
"All good and copy now .dct into the mapfolder

Wrong deviceID symbols = Device code wrong written (is this the deviceID : "AK8AJCJHUN" ???)

There is no such map in keyfile Meta.txt - your map is until now not supported (But there is my map in the meta.txt!! it is: "Wesern_Europe_710_1561" and it is there!

Run keygen:

Western_Europe_1GB-7.meta - OK
^^^^keygen output here!^^^^

Keygen says OK copy the new .dct into your mapfolder

Used deviceID: AK8AJCJHUN

P.S.: I forgot to write my exact problem! :) So: I do this procces, then I copy all the files from the TomTom's internal memory to the SDcard with the new (patched) map, and the patched ttsystem file, then it says: There is no available map. (In Hungarian: "Nincs elérhető térkép")

YESSSSSS! I've done it! For the beginners (like me): Do the whole proccess on the SDcard! I mean: copy the easyusetool to the SDcard, and the map as well, then do the written proccess there!

to make this route 66_v8 program to work you have do this things :

1, download the program
http://rapidshare.com/files/89255007/route66_3d.rar

extract the file and after exracting open the map and copy the file to the first map route66_V8.

2, open the map route66_v8 and then open the data map.

3, go to the imei.dat file and open it with the notepad program

4, change the imei nummber to your phone imei (dont delete the zero)
after doing that close and save the changes 2 the file.

5, open the phone.dat file also with notepad and put your phone imei
after that close and safe the changes 2the file.

6:download this file:

after downloading finesh extract the rar file and recall the map to : route66_V8

7, copy the map to your phone memory card (system\Apps) after that run

if you are using the tomtom safety camera's then use the tomtom 7 keygen to activate the camera's

if you are using after market camera's (e.g. Pocket GPS World, Custom POI) then you just copy then into the map folder :)

yes you can buy any tomtom device (e.g. Go 510, 520, 710, 720, 910, 920, One v1-4) and update them to v7 firmware and maps

the best way to get these poi's for starbucks in find the location of all starbuck's and type them into a program called poi edit 2007 and then save it to your tomtom device and all starbuck poi's will be shown :D

How to Set Up GPS on a Nokia N95
================================

1. Help the Nokia N95 to locate its current position:

Like all satellite navigation devices, the Nokia N95 may take several minutes to gather the location from the GPS satellites the first time it is used
Make sure the Nokia N95 has a clear line of sight to the sky, and that the slider is open - the receiver is located under the keypad.
Select Nokia Maps from the menu

2. Set up the network connection:

When the Nokia N95 displays the message "Application requires a network connection. Allow network usage?" select "Yes"

3. To check the GPS receiver's satellite status:

Press the menu key, scroll down to 'Tools' and open the 'Tools' folder

you have a corrupt Map_Setting.cfg

Just delete the Map_Setting.cfg and then restart the device, type in your home location again and try that :D

delete the ttsystem and rename the ttsystem.old back to the ttsystem

update via tomtom home

and then patch again :D

if not copy your maps onto the device again, maybe a bad map file :mad:

then select update my device :D

you need to patch the firmware and patch the meta file in the maps,

so you can see them in your device :D

hi bu, have been doin some searchin on the net and found what are supposed to be nifty tools for a tomtom one, xl etc,
called tomtom tools pro which allows you to play mp3's and games on tomtom one all versions only problem is i cant seem to get it working and
stuck for help as website is in french. was wondering if you know about and how to install it, have tried it on my tomtom one v4 and got as far as getting an icon
in my menu but when i click it it just plays running water and goes back to navigation. thanks in advance.

I just bought tomtom 520 for my wife, it has preinstalled speed camera database, but it does not give alert on some of the cameras, especialy mobile cameras which i get using gpsworld's speed camera database. If I need to install the gpsworld's, do I have to delete the original one in the device ,if not wouldnt it will cause confusion and also if i do any addons to the tomtom will it effect the warranty stuff.

If I need to install the gpsworld's, do I have to delete the original one in the device ,if not wouldnt it will cause confusion and also if i do any addons to the tomtom will it effect the warranty stuff.

One of my customers has also asked me how to reset a pin code on a go510, I think its 4 digits he said his kid locked it up playing with it & now it asks for a code.

plug device into tomtom home and update your firmware

then patch the ttsystem

then copy all the map files into the meta_files folder of the tomtom 7 keygen and insert the correct device id for the meta to by calculated :D

to make this route 66_v8 program to work you have do this things :

1, download the program

2, open the map route66_v8 and then open the data map.

3, go to the imei.dat file and open it with the notepad program

4, change the imei nummber to your phone imei (dont delete the zero)

5, open the phone.dat file also with notepad and put your phone imei
after that close and safe the changes 2the file.

I have downloaded your USA V7 Maps because I'm travelling there shortly, but how do I transfer this to my TomTom. I have a 2GB SD card and have no idea what orginal files remain. I have a made a back Up so can I just remaove the folder Australia and replace it a new folder USA?
