you don't find the activation code, your patch the system so no activation code is needed

right, copy your 7.15 maps onto your device

run the keygen and select option 2 "patch tomtom file system"

then run keygen again and select option 1 "Run META/DCT for all Maps"
follow info and then restart your device

oops, it says " no maps found" ---(it says it in Polish-that's the weird part-eventhough I formatted the tt and loaded new stuff-does the language stay someplace else on tt even after formatting?)

if you are using v7 maps, just switch maps to your usa maps and then plug into tomtom home

I've been visiting this great site for years now with several Nokia devices, it's superb.

Only I really don't get how to activate a Map. I've downloaded the Western Europe Map through Bittorent ( always problems with Rapidshare ) and installed it on My Micro-SD Card ( Nokia E51 ).

The Map gets recognised but needs to be activated. I've downloaded the first keygen ( first page of this thread but now idea what to do ).

Than I downloaded:

I have a TomTom One that actually works with the 6 maps version. My idea is to convert the device into the v.7. I've downloaded the "TomTom One v3 fw 7.161" the western Europe map and the patches... can somebody tell me how to begin the conversion?

so poi's have 3 files for each poi....!

uk_gatso.bmp (Picture for the poi)
uk_gatso.ov2 (Database of all locations for poi)
uk_gatso.ogg (Sound file linked to the poi)

there is no tomtom 6 patcher only keygen

I've managed to upgrade my firmware using TomTom Home and have patched my TomTom! :)

so poi's have 3 files for each poi....!

uk_gatso.bmp (Picture for the poi)
uk_gatso.ov2 (Database of all locations for poi)
uk_gatso.ogg (Sound file linked to the poi)

But... I'm having an issue, I don't know if somebody had this problem before:
Basically I updated my Tom Tom One 6 into the 7, everything works OK, but when I have to turn on the device, nothing happen... I take the SD card out for two seconds, I put it inside again and then I can turn on the device without problems.
Did somebody experienced this issue? :confused:

Hi,

I've downloaded the file "TomTom North America v665.1293.iso" for my TomTom 6 on a SonyEricsson P1i. I have already installed Western_Europe successfully but this time it does not work:
The .iso contains a folder "map" with the files "North_America.cab", "North_America_2.cab" until "North_America_12.cab" and "USA_and_Canada.cab", "USA_and_Canada_2.cab" until "USA_and_Canada_8.cab". When I extract them, I get files with extensions liek .001, .002, .004 etc. There is no .mid file.

The .iso also contains the TomTom Home software, but I have no clue how to use it...

you can try tomtom 6.02 for palm / pocket pc / windows mobile

if not you can't use tomtom with internal gps then you will have to try garmin xt

I've installed the Navcore 8 and the V8 Western and Central Europe Maps with the 'old' tools and they are working fine ( on a GO710). The only issue is when you connect to TomTom Home you get a message that the "This version of the navigation software does not work with your device".

However if you press the back button updates are downloaded and all seems to work.

I've tested the device on the road and everything is OK - I've even uploaded a map correction - yes even the latest maps are wrong! This particular correction was to a road junction changed 2 years ago!!!

I have a Tomtom one v3 with DE_AT_CT map only (512mb internal memory)

I have downloaded benelux map v7.1571.

I have also downloaded Advanced Diagnostic Easyusetools for Keygen, Mapcheck, Metacheck, ttsystem-Patcher.

My ttsystem is patched, and I have made the DCT file correctly (i think) and copied all relevant files/folders to my tomtom.

However, I am unable to view the map on my tomtom. When I use meta check I am told that the key seems to be ok. I am also told that DeviceID is wrong.

Msg reads like this:

Wrong DeviceID symbols = Devicecode wrong written

There is no such map in keyfile Meta.txt = Your Map is until now not supported

Cant find file = no *.meta file inside folder 2insert_meta_from_map_here"

I need some advice - please help - anyone

Sorry you could not find what you was looking for. I found the files but no code can be found :(

if you do end up buying the map from tomtom after the map is acativated you could upload all the files to rapidshare and the code can be taken from the files and reused

1. download original core, unzip (unrar) to your device root
2. download ttsystem for TT GO x20, unzip(unrar) and replace ttsystem to your device
3. an use a TT8 core :)

When I try to unrar the Western Europe V8 maps i get CRC errors and a message saying possible invalid password.
This is happening in both maps.

I am also waiting on Tomtom 7 for my N73, so I tried Garmin XT.

I downloaded Garmin City Navigator Europe NT 2008 (I think it is ID 5), and I am also able to generate the the 25-dig. unlock code (Mapsource accept the code). But the details of the map is still locked.

What am I doing wrong?

and
HOMEServices.dll in C:\Program Files\TomTom HOME 2\xul\components

try copying both files into the insert_meta_here folder and run the Keygen then copy the patched files back to the same folder as found :D

1- After 5 secondes, a message : "run in save mode memory"
2 - My feeling is the naviguate refresh is slow.... Like I have a delay between my move and when the display move
3- Is it normal, I don't view my device on TomTom Home? (Also no correction on map...) (Crack???)

1, download the new tomtom 7/8 keygen 2.1 found posted on here
2, copy all your map files from your map folder to the insert_meta_from_Map_here
3, then run RunMeforDCT.cmd, select option 1 and enter your device id
4, then run RunMeforMETA.cmd, select option 2 and enter your device id
5, now copy all files from the insert_meta_from_Map_here back to your map folder on your storage device

I download Eastern_Europe maps and I user 2.1 tool.

And dct and meta...
When I change map I cannot activate.
I make some mistake, can U pls write a little howto so I can patch it?

Patcher worked on my ttsystem but I'm using core 7, I haven't tested on core 8.

Hi Guys,

I have got this working thanks to all posts on forum.

I do have one problem though.

It keeps losing my favourites. I tried to transfer from previous version but that didnt work so i manually inputted them all and when i switched back on they were gone.

Anyone know why this happened?

Any help to prevent happening again.

I have always been able to transfer before using Mapsettings.cfg file but this time it doesnt work.

2) what kind of patcher I have to use to patch ttsystem for tomtom one? My ttsystem is about 3Mb and patcher says is not right (I download from some the link shoven some post before)

I loaded the navcore 8 on to my tomtom one v2 which already had v7.162 on it.

V8 looks a bit smoother but i could see no real advantages for me with it and as i said in an earlier post i had problems with it losing favorites.

I have now gone back to v7 until i see more answers and a new UK map.

Hope this helps a little.

Dont forget it wont work with internal GPS, very good to have on though .

navicore v8 is still in beta testing, it will be buggy at the moment

try it and see what you think about it, if not wait till the offical release comes out on the tomtom home server

Same Here. I found that if i switched on my 910 before mounting it on the Windscreen Mount the voices seem to be ok, also use a computer voice works for me

Hi, guys! I'm in need of some serious help. I wanted to install te Western_And_Central_Europe map v 720. I have purchased a good quality 2GB Kingston SD memory card for this purpose. But when I insert the card into the slot of my tomtom ONE XL, it wouldn't start. I managed to upload the map to the card by other means, but nothing changed. While the card is in the slot, my tomtom just doesn't work and there is graphics on the screen showing me to remove the card. If I remove the card and restart the device, everything is back to normal.

What am I doing wrong?

1st, copy all the content of the internal memory onto the memory card
2nd, add the new maps to the memory card
3rd, activate the maps
4th, all done

Thanks, BuMobiles. I've managed to make it work already by downloading the tomtom application via tomtom HOME, patched it and activated my map. The procedure you are describing works just as well but both procedures result in the same undesirable effect which I'm trying to fix. The problem is the fact the internal 512MB memory becomes unusable. Since the W&CE map takes up nearly 2GB, there is no more room left for my favourite applications. I was hoping I could use the internal memory for system and applications and the SD card for maps. Is it possible to use the internal memory while the SD card is inserted?
