any 1 help me ive got a n81 8gig and it saying searching for gps device and cot find my gps box ive tryed a few on it and they all saying it any 1 no how to get it to find them cheers

you need a activation code or the gps box may be faulty, take it back and ask them to try the box.

try taking it to someone who can help you with this problem

What is the latest version of tomtom works on the E90?

& the latest UK/Europe Maps

yes easy,

just download the keygen and activate the maps
then patch the file system.

try taking a backup off a go 520/720/920 and copying the firmware onto your device, but make a backup 1st

then if works, activate your maps again and away you go :D

USB is faster than Bluetooth

So USB GPS Module will transfer data faster :D

the meta.txt need to go in your keygen folder, then you need to patch the maps dct and meta files.

then patch the tomtom file system, if you need help just scroll back a few pages where people have asked the same questions and been posted a solution so many times before

Hi, firstly sorry if I am repeating the same question, but I didn’t find any of the previous posts helpful, or maybe i just didn’t get it, I read up to 40 pages.
I have Nokia N95 and I am trying to install TomTom. From the very first page (page 1) I downloaded the following:

I extracted all the files and put them on one folder. So I had the following folders:
Voice, tomtom, sys, resource, raster, private, licence.
UK_and_IE_plus_major_roads_of_WE 1409
Other_POI_s

Then I inserted my Sd memory card via usb and copied all the folders to the memory card.
Then I inserted the memory card in the phone.

Then nothing happened..... what Am i doing wrong... please help, i will be really grateful,

Now, where I think I went wrong.
Because the progs folder (with keygen in) already had a meta.txt notepad file in I left it as it was.
Did I need to replace this notepad file with one with just the relevant code for my GB&I map?

Can you upload a ttsystem file for the tt1 v1 for me please or a patched one to get my tt unit back up and running

STEP-1: unpack files

*bt.sisx
*GPSd.jar
*tomtom.sisx
*0.Copy.To.MEMCARD.Root.rar (you have to unpack this file also..the u will have TOMTOM folder..)

STEP-2: before start if u have tomtom installed on your phone, uninstall it...!!!!
and delete TOMTOM folder from memory-card also (for who had errors like, "tomtom is not starting, only globe pic spinning / connecting to bluetooth device and keeps waiting...and then not connecting")

STEP-3: make a folder like TOMTOM-PATCH on your phone's memory-card, and copy these files in it..

*GPSd.jar

STEP-4: copy TOMTOM folder (what you had unpacked and came from 0.Copy.To.MEMCARD.Root.rar file) to root of your memory-card of ur phone..

STEP:5 now unplug ur memory-card or ur phone from computer, and open any file-browser in your phone, go to folder TOMTOM-PATCH

STEP-6: Install 1.bt.sisx, 2.GPSd.jar Install 3.tomtom.sisx

STEP-7: Run "bt" from the applications menu (once is enough, it will add a virtual bluetooth device) (this can be uninstalled later if u need) and no need to run everytime before u open tomtom!!

STEP-8: Run "GPSd" from the applications menu (open this everytime before you open tomtom)
(GPSd app will ask some connections, you have to say yes to all, otherwise it wont connect int-GPS with tomtom.. saying yes to "allow application GPSd to use network and send or recieve data.. " it will connect internet (by GPRS) to get satellite list for A-GPS (Assisted GPS) (if it needs to) this happens if u didnt use int-gps long time or for faster gps connection type..
SO....ofcourse it will cost (and there is no way to make it use W-LAN), but its a very small data.)



STEP-9: Run TomTom from the applications menu and

Configure TomTom:

1) Set preferences (such as distance/time format)
2) Choose "Other GPS Device" from the GPS setup menu
3) Allow TomTom to turn on Bluetooth
4) Choose "BiNPDA GPS" from the bluetooth device list

then wait for connection...

DONE!

* You need to change the preferences every time you start tomtom. It won't
remember that you were using the internal GPS*

* If you need to switch from internal, to an "external" receiver, you may need
to click on "tomtom receiver", and then "other receiver" to get the list of devices again.

1, download the new tomtom 7/8 keygen 2.1 found posted on here
2, copy all your map files from your map folder to the insert_meta_from_Map_here
3, then run RunMeforDCT.cmd, select option 1 and enter your device id
4, then run RunMeforMETA.cmd, select option 2 and enter your device id
5, now copy all files from the insert_meta_from_Map_here back to your map folder on your storage device

I forgot to mention that I dwnload North_America_2GB 715 1712 and checked the PNA file as well the meta.txt all matched. Also I did try on two other computer and get the same message that tt7_keygen.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.

these v6.xx maps are outdated by nearly two years

Lets all hope that the long awaited TomTom 7 Mobile Edition will be out (even TomTom 8.0 Mobile Edition would be a great set off to the Sat Nav World instead)

in Commandline type TT6_kg_4_C4Pda.exe yourcountry.mid (eg. Western_and_Central_Europe.mid)

Enter your device id from tomtom (eg. ANBAE BSPDJ)

Mine is working, Just copy the Radar poi file to the map folder you want to use it with. then using the Advanced_Easyusetools use the RunMeforAllAutomatic then make a DCT file the same way you would for a map file and thats it. when you go past a camara that is in the tomtom database your tomtom will make a sound.

hi mate sorry i dont know? i have installed it on my N95 and on a mates nokia N95 8Gb no problem just connect to the computer. go to my computer look for the N95 8Gb explore.copy and install to mass storage not to phone interal memory,hope this helps chris:)

Hi i have tryed to put all system file and navcore on the sd cards root and after i put the maps on sd card in a folder you take ttsystem in the folder and put it in prog folder in crack rest of the files are moved to put_meta_here folder and make patch outside the folder where dtc are, put relevant data in the dosbox ( device no )and patch and returning them to the sd card in the folder and by the way it says that the system are 8002 with 800.*** files on the card and the navcore 8 on root of map :-)

It is all there for you to read on page 81 post number 1211 and 1212. Just follow what, "BuMobiles" has written there. Download the files he has given links to there and follow the steps as numbered.

I have tried 8.002 recently. Loaded it up then loaded the missing files from the previous 7.162 version without overwriting anything but it didn't work. One attempt ended up in TomTom not seeing the maps and the other caused TomTom to switch off during boot.

So I am wondering...is there a working way to upgrade the ONE XL (2007) from 7.162 to 7.221 or higher? If so, could you post a link to the file?

1, Patch your ttsystem files via the tomtom system file patcher
2, copy the dct and meta files from your map into the tomtomt 7 keygen and run it then copy then back to your map folder
3, all done

No you can't use tomtom 5 for internal gps because it doesn't support it

You need tomtom 6.02 (Supporting Internal GPS) by BinPDA can be found on this thread just use the search button, if that fails try installing Garmin XT which will work on it :D

The unit seemed to be working fine until I docked it in my car. When I turn off my car, the unit shuts down as it is supposed to, but when the unit finally turns off, it immediately turns back on, and boots back up. Even if I manually turn it back off, it turns back on again. I've reset the device a few times, but it still has the same problem. It also may be worth noting when it turns back on, it shows the progress bar screen as if I had just put in the SD card.

Has anyone had this issue or have any clue as to what's going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it's a bug in the go 510/710/910 firmware, delete the ttsystem and then upgrade via tomtom home and leave the firmware as 6.5 for the moment

I've tried to install 7.20 maps of US and Canada following the v2.1 Keygen programs but can't finish. I get an error when I execute RunforMeDCT. The error message is that the map isn't supported based on the meta file. I looked at meta.txt and the 7.20 map is listed. Any help?

I've tried to install 7.20 maps of US and Canada following the v2.1 Keygen programs but can't finish. I get an error when I execute RunforMeDCT. The error message is that the map isn't supported based on the meta file. I looked at meta.txt and the 7.20 map is listed. Any help?

Is this what your meta text says?

If so, it is the 7.20.1802 meta (not 1803)
Your map is most probably a 7.20.1802 as well even although it is described as 1803 . Rename the map folder to Usa_and_Canada_7.20.1802 and try again.

The meta.txt file has that line in it. I have the map files and keygen programs in a folder named KeyGenv21 and I ran the programs in it. I don't see why the name of the folder would matter at this point - or am I mistaken? The folder is on my C: drive and not on my device. BTW, I have a TT 910 (7.162) and am using v6.75 maps for US/Canada.

right i think i might be getting somewhere............ i flashed the tt using actvmap 4.7 and its now accepted the code....but it says some memory error or something and still wont load the map up.....is it beacause i havent got the original files or something......what do i need to do ??????

Thanks, of course, for straightening me out on that. However, I'm still stuck. Even with the meta.dct file, I can't get my TT910 to recognize the v720 map.

1, download the new tomtom 7/8 keygen 2.1 found posted on here
2, copy all your map files from your map folder to the insert_meta_from_Map_here
3, then run RunMeforDCT.cmd, select option 1 and enter your device id
4, then run RunMeforMETA.cmd, select option 2 and enter your device id
5, now copy all files from the insert_meta_from_Map_here back to your map folder on your storage device

I don't see that file in the root directory. But what's puzzling is the message that says the keys for the 2 new maps don't exist in the meta.txt file. I'm using the most recent meta.txt file and they are there.

I went through the 2 steps and the batches seemed to end normally. However, when I went to my tt, the n32 7.20 map wasn't recognized. I re-copied all the original 6.75 US-Canada files to the same folder and all was ok again.

Is there another update that I need to make? I have v 7.163 installed.

That means that the ttsystem file is already patched to work on your device. the ttsystem patcher is only for patching the original navcore to work on a specific device (that is why the patcher requires your device id)

Also, just a thought, please make sure that the folder you copied your patcher applications contains only ALPHA-NUMERIC CHARACTERS (Aa to Zz and 0 to 9 only), otherwise the program will give you error.

If you just plug-in you tt device to your pc, and click RunMeforAllAutomatic.cmd and select 1. type in the drive letter of the tt and hit enter, the program will create the correct .dct file for your map. Then you need to copy the required dll for the tomtom home you are using to your pc (please read the readme file for instruction).
Once this is done, fire up Tomtom Home, and select Operate My Tomtom and you map will be automatically activated (map ***XX.mac will be created)

have you tried to reset - about 15 seconds minimum (reset button at the bottom of tt) the device everytime you make changes?

link your internal gps as a com port

then select other bt gps in the tomtom software and select the com port which is assigned to the gps :D

my tom tom go 910. at the moment software version is 7.161 and i have tom tom 2 installed.

i then flashed the memory using activmap 4.7 which allowed me to activate the map but now i have a memory error. i have no original files for any europe or uk map on the tom tom at the mo. i have also downloaded United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland7. but this has no .midi file. please tell me what to do as my tom tom has been out of use for over a week now and i have been waiting on the forums to fix this!!!!

also last but not least i have read a bit abt this navcore 8 and quite like it. can i use this on my tom tom ? i think i can from what i have picked up but not sure whether it works properly.

Latest Navcore - official through tomtom home.

Installed the latest 720 maps for UK.

All working well.

Unable to copy my mapsettings.cfg to new maps, as tomtom freezes.

Powered up - frozen, Reset for around 20 seconds.

Powered up again - left unit for about 1 minute - and it came to life.

you need to run the cfg file in a poi editing program and delete the wrong entries :D

1, install fw 7.161 or 7.166
2, copy maps onto device
3, run keygen and patch tt file system
4, run keygen again and patch the meta and dct for your maps
5, all done...!
6, if you want to update to navcore 8 just copy the v8 files over your v7 files on your device....:D

I took the navcore 8002.*** and copyed it to the sd card before i updated to 8010.*** on the 720 , and it works for me on the 720 ;) so i can still use the original maps on 720 and it still says v.8002 in the corner of the screen for the ``other alternative copys on sd card ``:D

I`ve got TT Go710. Navcore 8.002 worked OK (exept that hands free issue). I downloaded 8.010 (navcore_8.010.9369.gox20), copied into SD card. Then I started RunMeforAllAutomatic.cmd, passed op 1. During ptching ttsystem (op 2) the Windows XP window of death appears on the screen but aplication continues(aplication tt7_keygen.exe). Unfortunately ttsystem doesn`t look patched cos map is still not activated

i did the same with fw v8.002 and aplication didn`t crash, everything worked OK. Can it be becouse the new version 8.010 doesn`t work with TTG x10 series??is there any other version than 8.010.9369.gox20 available??

Hello everybody, TT one XL. ttsystem 7163 works fine, also with the other 7.20 maps. Stil having problems with ttsystem 8.010.*** . I tried to copie Working_8002_ONE_XL but its starts very very slow and sometimes I have to reset and try again. When patching the original files, gives "can't find" and when trying 7.20 maps the tt gives "you can't use this map on your tt" so using stil 7163.

The navcore file is from the computer. This file you can patch so you can work with tomtomhome program 2.3.
Patching tomtomhome

1. From folder C: \Documents and Settings\ ... \Application Data\TomTom\HOME\Profiles\****.default\extensions\ Navcore.8.010.93693@tomtom.com copy dll-Navcore.8-010-9369-1.dll in other folder (for example ?:\A\).
2. Copy in the same folder patcher.exe (from folder ttsystem_Patcher) and start a command line (cmd).
3. Pass in folder (C: \A), and type: patcher.exe 8-010-9369-1.dll and press <Enter>. Close a command line.
4.Received new dll copy in the folder specified above (C: \Documents and Settings\ ... \Application Data\TomTom\HOME\Profiles\..... replacing old.

And the ttsystem.8org is the original ttsystem from version 8.010. you have to rename this to ttsystem in the root.

But patching both version 8.010.*** is not possible thats the problem.

reaction when patching: cant find, already patched, or... V7 and up.

you need to read a few pages back of the posts (all the answers have been posted over 200 times)

1, install fw 7.161 or 7.166
2, copy maps onto device
3, run keygen and patch tt file system
4, run keygen again and patch the meta and dct for your maps
5, all done...!
6, if you want to update to navcore 8 just copy the v8 files over your v7 files on your device....:D



MANY THANKS MATE.... I right clicked the tom tom from my computer and nicely formatted it. after which i followed the instructions and alas its all working now!!!!!!

now sometimes the "navigate to" option keeps disappearing.... what is the solution to this. and what are the most up to date maps that i can download for uk ???

my version is 8.002...how do i get the map to display the map in that motorway mode like it shows in the pictures

This will help you sort out what to do about installing the new navcore:

Connect the TomTom to the PC and switch it on, select Yes when asked about connection to PC. If TomTom Home software starts up close it down as it is of no assistance when following this method.

I also assume you have a full backup of the device, if not make a full back up BEFORE doing anything else.

First of all you will need WinRar software on the PC to follow this installation guide, it can be downloaded for a free 40 day evaluation period from Here (http://www.rarlab.com/)

When you click the link to the manual software update download you get the option to Open or Save, choose the Save option and save the file to the desktop (it is easier to find it later on this way).

Once downloaded double click the downloaded files icon on your desktop, this will automatically start WinRar and should display as per:

Highlight all the files and folders then click “Extract To” you need to find the TomTom device from the list (in my case Drive Q).

Hit the OK button and the file transfer will commence, as soon as the software detects an existing file with the same name it will throw up this dialogue box:

Click “Yes to All” and leave it to update your device, once it has finished make sure there is no drive activity indicated on the TomTom screen for at least 30 seconds then right click the drive letter associated with the TomTom device and select "Eject" or "Disconnect Drive" as applicable, pulling the cable out works but can cause problems if any data transfer is still in progress -

I tried the old patcher on v2.3 of tomtom home, now it won't work.
I've clearly done something wrong.

Maybe it would be better to return to v2.2? Trouble is I can't find a windows version of v2.2 aywhere.

I made a Backup of that map and deleted it.

Finally the map is working, but when I go into the version menu it shows the map version 650.1052 although this is almost impossible, as I deleted the old map before.

now you have to patch the tomtom file system (ttsystem) and then the maps will show up in your 'switch maps option'

copy your ttsystem from your device into the tomtom patcher folder and run the runme.bat then copy the patched files back to the device :D

thats what i thought but when i put them in there it just plays the normal moo dong ding dong not the ones i have uploaded to the folder also i may be wrong but are the speed camera warnings a data.chk file please help and thanks for the previous reply

Hi all I have a TT1 v3 just updated to v7.20 1802 UK Map
I also upgraded to 8.010 with no probs. Map works a Treat!

Right I installed the voice prompts with no hassle such as mobile (http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showthread.php?t=262075#) cameras (http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showthread.php?t=262075#), redlight etc. (they still work just put the voice file in the map folder)

But when I see the gatso/safety camera ahead it used to make a ding/bong noise when approaching the safety camera but now nothing

When I updated, did I change something? how do I get a safety (http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showthread.php?t=262075#) camera warning.

I tried to download it here with help from BU mobiles but it was all to complicated for me. I just want to buy a software for my E90 because I dont want to use Nokia Maps.
It would be great if you can tell me some shops in the internet were I can buy it and get it! ;-)

I have absolutely the same problem...everytime i try to install a map different than the original I have this:YOU CANNOT USE THIS MAP ON THIS DEVICE !!!
I have tried these two maps Western_Europe_1GB_720.1802_Without Voices and Eaestern_Europe v720.1803 ...and both of them should be working on tomtom v3 ....USA version
