NOW I USED NEWEST Keygen_TomTom_7-8.x AND I GOT THE SAME http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/5175/map2jl5.jpg I DONT UNDERSTAND IN SOME PLASES SAYS ITS OK BUT IN OTHERS WRONG DEVISE ID CANT FIND FILE AND THE IS NO SUCH MAP IN KEYFILE META.TXT= YOU MAP UNTIL NOW NOT SUPORTED,DOES ANYBODY KNOW THE PROBLEM?
MAYBE ITS A PROBLEB WITH Firmware for the TomTom ONE XL V8?ITS A NEWEST ONE FROM TOMTOM SITE ,DOES ANYBODY HAVE Firmware for the TomTom ONE XL V7?

I have absolutely the same problem...everytime i try to install a map different than the original I have this:YOU CANNOT USE THIS MAP ON THIS DEVICE !!!
I have tried these two maps Western_Europe_1GB_720.1802_Without Voices and Eaestern_Europe v720.1803 ...and both of them should be working on tomtom v3 ....USA version
I am using the latest ....Easyusetools_for Keygen_Mapcheck_Metacheck_ttsystempatcher.....
Please if somebody can help me out it would be greatly appriciated...

you need to patch the ttsystem on your device and also run the meta/dct pacther on your new maps

Thought you would sort it, if you tried a bit harder.

Thats the problem we have at the moment 99% of people don't want to search for stuff. they all want it given to them step by step and links provided straight away.....!

Come on people it never works like that, many people do have to pay for all this stuff.

how do i activate the map? when i am trying to run tomtom7 with north america, i got the message activation failed, sorry, this is not the correct activation code for the product "usa_and_canada." it didn't give me an option to activate manually like previous version

Here's a later version. Initial version taken off a HTC Diamond, and released only a couple of days ago.

First version (a .cab file) will not run on many devices apart from Diamond.

First crack will work on 6.75 maps if already installed on phone. Bug with font being oversized.

Second crack - listed below - will work with all WM devices, but not PNAs. Will only accept version 7 maps. Maps patch will still need to be performed.

Voice - All Tomtom 6 voices still work.

Working on HTC Touch Dual.

Use The Easytools link to activate maps. All you need to do is add your voices and maps.
To get your device id (for use with the keygen), run tomtom and exit. Look on your storage card for ttnavigator.bif, it will have your device id in it (DeviceUniqueID=<10chars>).
Dont add any spaces.

Come on guys, Please try yourself first

1, download the new tomtom 7/8 keygen 2.1 found posted on here
2, copy all your map files from your map folder to the insert_meta_from_Map_here
3, then run RunMeforDCT.cmd, select option 1 and enter your device id
4, then run RunMeforMETA.cmd, select option 2 and enter your device id
5, now copy all files from the insert_meta_from_Map_here back to your map folder on your storage device

Just run Tomtom7. Accept the error and exit.

After that, there should be a file in the root of your MMC called navigator.bif.

View it with a text editor, eg notepad. You DeviceID (rather UniqueDeviceID) will be listed there.

Tom tom 6 is working fine on my S710 with fakecursor and my Qstarz bluetooth GPS receiver. Lots of people are working this way.

I tried Garmin XT but the response is very sluggish.

no one has it at the moment, only old maps can be found

so 1st use old maps (found on this thread, early Pages)

or 2nd, buy direct from TomTom Site :mad:

Currently installed TT7 Version 7.45 on a HTC Apache PDA phone (otherwise known as the ATT Tilt).
The map I am trying to install is USA_and_Canada_7.20.1803 Downloaded here.

I have patched the map using "system and Meta Patcher V2.0 and uploaded it to the storage card on my device. Everytime I try to activate the map in Tom Tom, I get the message "Activation Failed" Sorry, this is not the correct activation code for the product 'USA_and_Canada' .
I have been reading and searching this thread for 3 days now and have come to the conclusion that I need to patch my TTsystem file. The problem is, I can not find any TTSystem.dll file located anywhere on my PDA or storage card. I have also looked for anything called home or with home in the file name and also to no avail. The map appears to have patched corectly as I have used the corect meta information and also gotten and "Ok" from the patcher.

At this point, I am lost. Can someone please help me out???

I completely uninstalled and re-installed a different version (downloaded here) of TomTom V7.45 and I'm up.

Another request now though - Can someone please point me in the direction of the USA - Midwest & USA - South East maps 7.2 ???
I have the USA & Canada map working great but it would be nice to have a little more detailed maps for ceartain aspects of my business.

I can see you already have the USA and Canada map. Are you sure the South East and Midwest are more detailed? To my knowledge the maps are just smaller.....?

And are you sure the maps come in a 7.15-version? I can only find them in a 7.10-version....?

Hello, I have TT910 and using Eastern Europe map v7.20 (activated them with meta and patched the ttsystem file). Everything works good in the device but when I connect my Tomtom to Tomtom HOME, the Tomtom Home software doesn't see the Eastern Europe v7.20 map. It only sees v6 maps.

I'm having a problem activating the map I got yesterday. When I look on my TT520 the map is showing on the contents page, but has an error message 'This Item cannot be used on this device because it needs to be activated first'.
The Navcore version is 8.010(9369) and the map is V720.1838. I have run the KeyGen but it doesn't allow me to enter my device ID is this the problem? How do I go about getting the map to work?

Forgot to add that when I run KeyGen and select Option 1 the cmd window allows me to select the device and after hittig the Return Key the application bombs out. There seems to be an error message in the application window, but it goes too quickly for me to see it. Any ideas how I get to see the error message.

you need to run the tomtom patcher but it's not compatiable with v8 firmware

you need to downgrade your firmware back to 7.16x and then run the patcher and meta / dct generator :cool:

This is my first post on this subject and i just have to say thanks to all posting helpful comments especially BuMobiles. I have successfully updated my Tomtom One to latest firmware including Western and Central Europe 720 1803 Eastern Europe 720 1803 and USA and Canada 720 1802 maps. Found all the information i needed between pages 80 and 98 and the video tutorial was also very helpful.

I managed to find all the maps and firmware i needed through searching Torrent sites rather than using Rapidshare.

If i can do it then anyone can.

Hi, everyone. I've readed almost all the pages and I haven't found the navcore 7.16***x for TomTom XL. I've made a couple of stupid things- first I haven't made a security copy of my tomtom's software, then I let the TomTom software to upgrade my firmware to 8.1xx and now I couldn't install any of the 7.xx maps on my device. I'm hopless. Can anyone be so kind to help me, please, with the 7.162 navcore??

The main serious problem I have in this installation is that; the Postcodes are not working properly, when I try to navigate to a postcode it accepts the first 3 digits and displays suggestions underneath as normal but not the last 3. I tried to download Postal code files for UK on page 1, but the links is not working, it could be deleted as it is very old (22/11/2007). Guys, what can be so hard. :P If you have patched to the v7 version, upgrading is very easy.

Here is once again a simple guide, which should work...

1) Get the tt7_keygen.exe file
2) Get the updated Meta.txt file with 720 mapinfo
3) place them for example c:\keygen directory
4) Now open meta.txt file, see which map you have, then create the directory as specified in meta.txt file. For example I created directory "Western_Europe_1GB_720_1802"
5) Place all your map files in that directory (cline.dat, cname.dat, etc files)
6) Click on Start, Run, type: cmd , press enter. type "cd\" and "cd keygen" and type:
tt7_keygen <mapfolder> <deviceid>
for example:
tt7_keygen Western_Europe_1GB_720_1802 BJ3RDF4DTS
It should say "OK". Now copy all your from the MAPDIRECTORY to your TomTom and enjoy!

I can't speak for PDA devices but the instructions for TomTom in car devices are quite clear as Video tutorials showing you visually step by step have been posted on this forum. Apart from doing it for you, I don't think anyone could do more.
In my opinion, the simplest method for anyone with a Tomtom device which uses an SD card is to buy a cheap card reader (about £6) and attach it to your PC, slot in your TomTom card with the map folder to be activated in it and the Keygen will see it as a drive.

Why can't I find any information about TomTom Navigator v8?

Oh well, it IS the new Navigator version for TomTom One.

What I did was:
* Removed everything except the map-folder which I have (Western Europe)
* Extracted al the files onto TomTom SD
* Guess what... new version.

Info says the following:

GPS v1.21, Boot 5.0500

However, it isn't working. When I want to navigate, and when it asks if I want to navigate by post code, address, etc, whatever I choose, it will freeze.

Also navigating on the settings etc menu is very sluggish, even the info says I have about 9 meg free.

So, I will be reverting back to my backup with 7.162.

I have the very first, original One. Don't know if this is meant for it... this device is about three years old.

This error will arise if your meta.txt file in your keygen folder is not up to date, ie it does not contain the data required to generate a key. You will need to locate this meta string of numbers, and add it to your meta.txt file.

After running Tomtom7 on your HTC, it will generate a file ttnavigator.bif in the root of your MMC. Open and read it with a text editor, eg notepad. It will have your UniqueDevice ID on it.

For people who don't like typing long string of text in DOS window (like me), you can also use the tt7keygen in an alternate way:
1) Create a folder, and place the keygen and the meta.txt file in folder.
2) Copy the .meta from your map to the folder.
3) Open DOS window.
4) Type tt7_keygen.exe . <DeviceID>
** Note the fullstop in between exe and DeviceID **
5) This will generate your .dct file.
6) Copy both .dct and .meta to your map folder.
7) Delete both .dct and .meta file
8) Repeat with next map

GsmForumFan, when you say this link doesn't work what exactly do you mean, i have just checked this link and it works fine, do you realise that you need a download client such as Utorrent to download this for you.

Where is says "download Torrent" this will download a small .torrent file to your hard drive, you then open this with your download client (Utorrent) which will then do all the hard work for you.

Just checking the stats in my client and there are 85 seeds (people with the full copy) and 63 Peers (people with un complete versions)

let me know if you get any further problems, but im just on my way out so may not reply tonight.

you can't run tomtom 7 on a nokia 6110 nav at the moment, there is only tomtom 6.02 out for it ;)

bu some of your earlier posts state that ill need an external GPS receiver...has the issue with 6.02 been fixed and now allows internal GPS to be used or is it still the case whereby an external GPS unit must be used to get the GPS signal?

I have a folder named "screen" in root with an empty text file made with Notepad called "capture" in it. Not "capture.txt" or "capture.doc" or "capture.whatever" just plain "capture". I have tried naming in upper and lower case but I cannot get this to work by tapping the screen near to the + zoom. There is no camera shutter click sound either.
Does this feature work in TT One v2?
If so, what am I missing? I would be grateful for help in this as it is the only thing out of all the tweaks that has me stumped.

I've followed this thread from start to finish but can't get my v7 maps activated.

I'm running WM6.1 on a HTC TyTn II. TomTom 7.450 - as per the links posted here - runs just fine with the free city map downloaded from TomTom. However, when I try and switch to one of the cracked maps, I get :
Activation failed.
Sorry, this is not the correct activation code for the product 'Western_Europe_1GB'

I have tried various methods, all found here.

Basically, this is what I've done:

Create folder Keygen.
Copy Meta.txt, RunMeforMeta.bat, RunMeforDCT.bat, tt7_keygen.exe, tt7_mapcheck.exe and emtpy folder insert_meta_from_Map_here in the keygen folder.

I then copy my Western_Europe_1GB-14.meta file in the insert_meta_from_map_here folder.

I run RunMeforDCT.bat with success. The DCT file is created.
I run RunMeforMeta.bat and META.TXT is output containing:
Patched firmware mode
Western_Europe_1GB.pna - present
Cline.dat - present
Cname.dat - present
Cnode.dat - present
This is not Map v7
Mapinfo.dat - OK

ok guys iv been looking around for a few days now, iv installed tomtom on my 6110 and that works fine (allows me to set up untill i get to the part where it looks for maps) once i get to the maps it says no maps are found, which is understandable because they arent on my device, my question though, is how do i find my device ID if i can not get into the software to see it...
i have the 2.0 version of the keygen and cant seem to find the 2.1 version, like i said iv been looking around the thread for a couple of days and have had no luck getting past the whole map activation ordeal...
if anyone could point me in the direction of the 2.1 keygen (when i search 2.1 keygen it gives me nothing) it would be greatly appreciated, and some help in activating the australia maps would be great too, i have v7.10 maps and tom tom 6.02 if these rnt compatible i also have v6.45maps

the easiest way to get your version back to 7.162 is delete your old ttsystem from the root of the device storage and then connect via tomtomm home (any version) and update then unplug it and check the current version

tomtom home will update in steps, 1st v6.x, 2nd v7.x, 3rd v8.x :D

The Oz map now shows when I run Operate my TT through TT Home.
When I disconnect the unit from my PC I can't see the Oz map anymore when I go to change maps.
Any clues to why this may be?

Hello, This is my first post - so go gentle on me.

Many thanks to all those that have contributed to this thread.

I just wanted to share my experience and hopefully help others with the same problem:

I installed v7.45 (repack 3, VGA) and the UK v7.20 map onto my HP IPAQ 4700 PDA which runs on WM5

It seemed to function OK until I tried to connect to my external Bluetooth GPS.

I then got the message 'Bluetooth Radio failed to turn ON due to insufficient driver memory'. I never had this message before when I ran TomTom v6.

The message even appeared when trying to connect to the Bluetooth device with TomTom turned off.

So I uninstalled TomTom v7.45. Still the error message.

Suspecting that TomTom had installed some file I looked in the Windows directory of the PDA. There was a relatively new file BtcoreIf.dll (24 April 2008). I saved and then renamed this file (put .old extension on it). Soft reset the IPAQ. There was then a fresh copy of the file in \Windows, but now with a date of Aug 07, matching the other Bt.... files. Bluetooth then worked.

Then I reinstalled TomTom v7.45 After soft reset requested by the installation program, I renamed the of*****ng new file, soft reset again.

Now TomTom v7.45 AND Bluetooth works OK.


Has anyone else had this problem?

Attach your GO510 to your PC, fire up Tomtom Home and you will be offered an update to fw 7163.8493 then you can use 7 maps.

Short answer no.

Workaround: There is a SD card file off a Tomtom910 that will allow you access to mapshare. The donwloaded then needs to be copied to yuor map folder on your phone.

Hope someone can help?
I have a tt520 and when i turn it on all i get is a flashing red cross on the screen and cannot proceed any further than this.
I have updated to navcore 8 but my 720 maps didnt work and tried to go back and correct it but it seems i have messed it up.
I have deleted the ttsystem file from the root and connected to home and it has put back 7.4 but it still doesnt work.Tried to do a restore but it says the memory card is missing when i did the backup but its the same one i used??
I think i need the Device id number but cannot get into tomtom to get it,is there any other way to obtain this??

the id no can be found, you need to get your firmware updated 1st and make it load up then copy your maps onto your device and then your id no will show ???

they are easier ways too but need to have computer based skills to get it ?
